TomO, WOW  a patio found under the debris, with even better internet service. maybe you should buy a lottery ticket. 

Jerry, you know we need proof that you actually got some more shingling done.    Glad you found some time at the bench.

Current weather is 20c (68f) and partly cloudy.  Had a great walk with Gracie yesterday morning and ended up going on a much longer walk than originally planned.  Watched the F1 race and worked on the turntable.  Seeing as the work week is starting construction will slow down during the week.

I did Saturday afternoon. $10 for Powerball or 5 lines and 1 number on all that in that drawing. $10 for Mega Millions for Tuesday I think so there is hope yet. It's been a few months since I purchased a Powerball tick and 1st time since Mega went to $2 per line.

The daughter told me when she texted this afternoon I can do whatever we want to that space. I need another project like another hole in the head but, I have 2 ideas...

Mega Millions tickets jumped to $5 a year or two ago, right?  That's a -terrible bet- compared to PowerBall.  At a $5 bet and odds of winning of 1/290,000,000 , the jackpot would have to be $290,000,000* $5 * 2.  (The inverse of the odds, times the bet, doubled to accommodate the difference between the annuity value that they announce, and the actual lump sum value that you'd want for calculating payoff of the bet.)  Yeah, if you work that out, a break-even MegaMillions jackpot would have to be about $3 BILLION dollars!

Since PowerBall has roughly the same odds, but is only a $2 bet, it's a much better bet mathematically.  The break-even jackpot is only roughly $1.2 BILLION... 

(An even bet would be the amount of money you'd have to win to equal the amount to buy all of the numbers.)
