Eric,

Thanks for stopping by and glad you like the structure. This is the second structure that I have built from Sheepscot. These are difficult buildings. And I think I made even more difficult. Basically, the kit is a box of sticks. Lots of them. Some 800 plus. I weather each stick with three different base pigments. What that really meant is paint each stick, wipe dry and then set aside for the next step. Once done this procedure was done again with another stain. After the building components are completed, each structure is painted with A&I. A final stain of burnt sienna is applied. Whew, that's a lot of painting / staining, but I like the effect.
I am taking a break from yard work and building more elements of the building. I figure I probably have another week to finish the total complex.

Good looking kit and great build..... 8)

Thanks Greg. This kit is a tough one, especially since I have made so many changes. Why do I do this?

Great looking structure - I just spent 15 min. going back through your thread trying to figure out where you are going to put a complex that big on your layout. I know you have a plan.  I'm waiting with great interest for the planting.

If I had to guess, I'd have to say that you're a glutton for punishment, like someone else we know.  ;)

Good Morning John,

The mine complex is right in front of you as you enter the door. Go back about three pages. I think the scenery does hide it a bit, but, oh well. Several items still to compllete on it. I hope to have it done by the end of the week and then put it back on the layout and scenic around everything. This building has been a long time in coming together.

Morning Jan,

Glad you like the build. As I have mentioned, this has been a long and arduous structure to build, but I am in the final stages of completion. I hope to have it done by the end of the week and I will post more pics. The only item that will not be completed will be the dump trucks. I ordered more of them just the other day and since they come from Canada and then I have to build them, they will be added later.

Good Morning Dr. Jeff,

Thank you for your kind words. This has been a challenge to build. As you may know, I also do not build it the way the manufacturer recommends, so that gets to be more of a challenge. As I am sitting here typing, I notice some other details that need to be added. I forgot the railings on one side of the building stairs. Oh Well, more to do to finish this build.
Its a good day to be in the train room, so hopefully I'll get quite a bit done today.
