Good Morning All,

Streets in Chester are poured and vehicles have been placed around the streets. Somehow, I still can't get out of Chester. After pouring the streets, I placed the station and platform on the poured surface. Well, the pour apparently has a few minor surface irregularities causing the station platform not to sit flat. I have removed the platform from the station and the platform now sits flat on the poured surface. I am going to glue the platform to the poured surface to insure it stays flat. I still have to check the flatness of the station. In the past, I have found that the covered extension has a tendency to warp. I don't know why, but it warps. I have taken to bending the extension as best I can without breaking it. Just when you think you have everything working, now the crossing gates are not functioning fully. I guess I'll be under the benchwork later today. Anyway, here is a progress shot. Enjoy your day.

Frank,

You have been very very busy. The photo looks great, meaning the scene in the photo looks great. Keep up the great work and the pictures coming.

I understand a video of an Erie S-4 Berkshire will hit the airways tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned to the Erie thread.

Good Afternoon Tom, Thom, Jim, Bob, Curt and others.

Thank you for your kind words. I made good progress in Chester today. I can see the light in the tunnel regarding the completion of the town. Will be wiring up the traffic lights tomorrow and some of the building lighting. A few small other details and it is on to the next town.

I recieved a package in the mail this morning. I had loaned my mini video camera to some friends in LA for their convention in September. After charging the battery, i decided to video a portion of layout. Only part way around. Tomorrow, i will run the train back and forth in both directions. My layout is basically a dogbone with a lot of elevation changes. My granddaughter is coming over tomorrow to help me with the editing of the video so i can post it on you tube to share. Stay tuned. In the meantime, here is a pic of freight traffic in Chester. Enjoy.

I really like you down low shots Frank. They somehow make the scene look much more life like.  8)

Frank,
Great shot, those geeps in that setting are enough to make a railfan relive the glory days of the Erie.

Jerry,

Thank you for your kind words. Glad you enjoy the geeps, so do I. They are older Proto 2000 units that continue to work very well, except for changing out split wheel gears occasionally. I continue to look for another shell. I have one geep with a Northwestern paint scheme and need to replace it. Not much call for Erie livery out here in the desert.
I need to weather the frames and lower body so they have better definition for photography. 62 days until photography shoot. Lots of details in the meantime.

Good Morning Greg,

You are probably over at Tom's watching my locomotive run " in person" .You lucky dog. Thank you for the kind words on the recent photos. I agree, low profile photos really make the scene look real. Finding the locations to shoot them is another task in itself. Back to work.
