Frank,

Another great picture. Sorry I missed the call yesterday.

Curt,

Thank you for your kind words. I shot a preliminary video yesterday and will probably shoot more today. Since I am somewhat technically challenged, I await my granddaughters assistance. More soon, I hope.

Andy,

Thank you for your kind words. Perhaps it is the artist in me that makes it so colorful. It certainly is an integral part of modeling. Glad you enjoy it.

Excellent modeling.  Beautiful scenes.

Curt,

Thank you for stopping by. Glad you like the pics. The railroad has been a very interesting journey. Being retired has really made this a very pleasant journey. As you may have read, I will be having the layout photographed for a future issue of model railroader magazine, so I appreciate everyone's comments. It is a fun journey, and there is still a long way to go. Stop back anytime.

Another weekend has transpired and quite a bit of work has been completed on the railroad. I added lighting to a gas station, the newsstand at the station and a few other structures in Chester. While there are a few more minor details to be completed in Chester, I have moved onto Ironia to work on scenery details. The mine at Ironia needs a couple of mine head structures and lots of debris on the ground below the conveyors. I will have some photos in tomorrows post, but in the meantime, here is another pic of the Chester station from the other end. My wife has been painting people for the past month. With Chester now populated, she is now working on the population of Ironia, Essex Falls and Little Falls. The hillside surrounding the mine has had the trees cut and the stumps are the only remaining elements. Eventually the hillside will be removed as the mine expands its excavation area. About 61 days remain on this segment of the railroad. Still lots to do, so stay tuned.

Great station scene.  The LPs are wonderful.  Your wife is very talented.

Love the details, the mix of roofing on the station, the passenger step box, and especially the boys racing at the end of the platform!  You really have an "eye' for scene composition.  Kudos to your wife for spending the time to do such a great job on the figures.

Frank, really nice work.  What great team work.  I really like how you are setting the scene in each location.  MRR is really going to like this layout.  BTW, where do you get your tree stumps?  I'm going to need a lot and was wondering where to get them.  Phil
