Yes, I agree, these two do have some heft to them. Structure #2 is a monster but fits beautifully in the scene.

Mark mentioned the two citrus processing buildings have some "heft" to them. Well, they do and I was very concerned I wasn't going to be able to use them.

I moved them around for more than an hour to get the final fit as they appear now. With the road in between them, the area is every bit of 38 inches in length.

I'm buying up real estate on the layout at an alarming rate.

The turntable/roundhouse area takes up 11.5 feet. The St. Johns River 2 feet and the Solkol's area another 3.5 feet.

So, if my math is correct, I have 16-17 feet left for the town of Tahope and a couple more switching opportunities.

Fast forward here and the pink foam is glued in place and the spur is in as well.

Surveying and marking the roads help me to better visualize the scene. It also helps in the planning of the scenery.
