Tom...

When you paint that ready rod green, put some palm fronds on it and call it a cell tower.

Bob

Bob,

Good idea but the rod is to tall for a tree in HO scale. 8) 8)

Tom..

My steam powered table saw from 1954 is still out there chugging away.  If it's a belt drive saw unit you should be able to replace the bearings.  They don't make 'em that good any more.

Bob,

This was just a Sears 10" table top and it served the 25 years cutting layout lumber. Got it on sale for $145.00 so no complaints from me.

Lynn,

Thanks for the compliment on the support. The saw was old but did serve me well for 25+ years. I can't complain.

How about a water tower with a thundercloud looming over the top of it? ;D

ACL 1504,
Were you ever a dam builder in your former life?
                                                                              Thanx Thom...

I don't think he has but he's always been on the level.   ::)

I don't think he leans to either side actually! ;D

Thom,

No, I'm pretty much a straight up kind of guy. I don't lean either way.

Tom  ;D

I'm not touching that one.....I'll just get into more trouble.  ::)

Greg,

Appears?

When you did the pull ups didn't all hold up except the small level? 8)

Tom ;D

I have very sad news to report this evening.

A very close and dear friend on mine passed away this afternoon. The passing wasn't easy as she tried to hold on but the bearings were just to worn out.

As I was cutting some 1X3 cross braces, my 25 year old 10 inch table saw gave up the ghost. :'( :'( :'( :'(

A moment of silence please.

Tom :'(

Oh no!  Say it ain't so!   :(

I'll be curious to see what you replace it with.  I've been threatening to buy one for years even though I have no place to store one and very little use for one at the moment.   :D

I spend a bit of tome each day going through your build process, that is one massive Helix, On a couple layouts back I had a Nolix that went down at one end of the layout and all the way around the perimeter to a lower masive staging yard. Excellent work.

Lynn,

Thank you for the kind words. Greg DeMayo designed the Ovalix. It started as a Helix but I stretched it by four feet and call it an Ovalix. ;D ;D ;D

It works beautifully and was fun building.
