Good morning. A nice day coming to So Central Wisconsin.

Terry will be baking today after we return from a quick grocery run this morning. She's missing 1 ingredient, cream cheese. Since she has finally (since December) been cleared to drive she will. I'm not a good passenger but I can handle this. Later we will do the clothes shopping for me and I'm told the son in law is also coming. Same reason as me, he needs clothes for the wedding.

Thanks for congrats on our medical good news. It's been a long road and not over but it's getting better

Good morning everyone.

Prineville weather: A slight chance of showers between 8am and 11am. Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 65.

ACLTom, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and have fun running trains with The Judge.

TomO, have fun clothes shopping.

Dave, good news about your friend.

Larry, glad you got your strip wood and I'll look for an update to see what you've done with it.

Mike, hope for nothing but good news about the physical.

Greg, that pie sounds delicious.

Karl, station is looking good.

Jim, thanks for stopping in and have fun with the new modeling project.

Philip, feeling better?

Jerry, any news from the bench?

Ron, safe travels.

Hiked the Chimney Rock Trail just as the sun was coming up.
My friend said she wanted to hike it too but she wasn't't awake yet so I did it alone.
3 miles and 623' of climbing later I get back to the van and she was just leaving to do the hike.
So I did it again with her.
Leaving here today and heading into town to hit the gym.

The view from the van yesterday morning.

Beautiful picture as always Rick.

Have fun shopping!!! Not a chance with the wife and daughter doing the picking and judging. Normally I know what I want, look for it, check the size, try it on and buy it. Simple 15 minutes in and out. That is not going to happen today! I'm ok with the California casual they are along for but my regular stuff, nope, but I will try it their way till I decide I can't handle it. I'm 73 and been buying my own stuff for maybe 57 years with very little input. Done alright and now they want to help me.

It won't be fun but prayers for me may help

Good morning everyone,
I haven't posted much the last few weeks. between going on vacation and then getting caught up after vacation was over, I have been a little busy. I think I am close to being caught up. That said I am hoping to find the time to get the shingles colored and put on the Shipyard at Foss Landing main building.

Weather here in Northern Colorado is dreary today. Cloudy and 33 degrees right now. A high of 45 later. I was just getting spoiled to a few 70 degree days before winter decided to visit once more.

Had a little snow here yesterday morning, just enough to make my commute up to Cheyenne yesterday morning a white-knuckle drive. By afternoon the snow had mostly melted and the roads were clear, so my drive home was good. Hopefully we are done with snow this season, but in Northern Colorado snow can fly clear up to mothers day.

Hope everyone is doing well, I am off to the train room to play model roofer for a while.

Everyone have a great day!! :)

TomO, glad you could skip the clothing shopping trip with the crew.

Dale, glad you traveled home safely. Sneaux, ugh.

Jerry, good news, the yard work is finished (for this week).

How is the rest of the crew?

A traditional Easter breakfast casserole of eggs, bacon, green pepper, cheddar cheese, onion and hash browns for breakfast today.

Happy Easter to all those that celebrate.

Mike, bridge is looking good so far.

Jerry, hope the yard work is done.

Dale, I hope you are done with s@#$ too.

TomO, hope the shopping wasn't very painful and I did say a prayer for you.  :)

Hope everyone else out there is doing well today.

Nothing planned for today except for working on a video I recorded a few weeks ago.
I need to do some shopping in Bend but I'm sure some of the stores I want to go to are closed today so I'll wait till tomorrow.

Good morning and Happy Easter for those that celebrate it as a holiday or a religious day.

Weather in So. Central Wisconsin should be ok, 40f degrees now maybe 50 later. The winds are calm and actually almost nonexistent right now at 1mph! The daughter and her hubby are doing the feast for the day. In the last 30 years this will only be the 2nd Easter where we did not go to a big brunch, the other was Covid, 2020. Boy that was a messed up year. I think more polarizing than even 9/11 was.

We are home because the daughter's Mother in Law said they no longer could afford the Easter brunch out. So Kait said fine we will have it here after getting a ok from Terry. MIL did not like the menu and had suggestions like add prime rib, lobster and crab legs. The son in law told his mom that will not be happening. From there it got ugly. Just in case enough was made if the mother in law and step-dad do show up at 11am. The daughter and hubby are preparing everything except the giant Carrot cake Terry made yesterday. 2 of the kids old neighbors will be joining us. I know the SIL started his smoker at 8am Saturday and was out there at 5 this morning playing with it. No clue what the actual menu is until I sit down and I was told not to ask. I was only promised there will be "some" bacon for me

I spent more on clothes and shoes yesterday than combined since 2014 when I retired. We did in store shopping and last night my 2 pushers (daughter and wife) finished up online. Today I have to go through my closet and pull most of my old clothes except 2 pair of shoes, my jeans and 5 everyday T-shirts. Everything else including sport jackets, suits and dress shirts is going to St Vincent DePaul. I rarely carry cash. But I always kept a stash on me if I was with clients. If I was with clients I generally wore a sports coat or suit so I will be carefully checking the pockets. Any $$$ I find will become train money with 10% going to my helper, the grandson. I did promise a minimum of $10 if the 10% is less. He is already down the street shooting hockey pucks with a new teammate in his driveway

I doubt I'll get anytime in the train room. I watched parts of 2 NHL playoff games yesterday. During the 2 intermissions I sat through I only cut the wire for 50+ trees. I am hoping to get all the wire cut for 250-300 trees during the intermissions of the next 4 games 2 today and 2 Monday. If not they'll get cut Tuesday. The fun stuff, twisting them into trunks and branches should start Wednesday night. Most of the finished trees will be in the 8" height range

Enjoy your day

Good morning all and happy easter.

A nice morning here in Northern Colorado, brilliant sunshine 30 degrees hades to a high if 60.

I am going to have lunch with my folks, mother is 88 father is 97. Interesting enough my father at 97 is in excellent health and mind. Still climbs stairs amd can carry on good conversation. My mother on the other hand barely gets around and has stage 3 dementia. This may be the last easter with her. At there age anything can happen at anytime. Getting old sucks, that what I have to say about that.

Hope everyone has a great easter!!

Good morning Rick, ACLTom, Mike, TomO, Dale and the rest of the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick.  Great view from behind the waterfall.

Yesterday was travel day as I took the3 train from Jacksonville to Orlando where I caught a plane home.  Why fly from Orlando instead of Jacksonville?  Flights to of Orlando was half the price of flying out of Jacksonville and Orlando had direct flights.  The Orlando airport did have a Disneyword store, a Universal Studio Store as well as a Seaworld store.  :o

Tom, interesting story about retiring.  My boss (the owner of the company) visited the site last week and we had an interesting conversation about revamping our sheet metal shop and during that conversation I mentioned that I would not be working forever and I was told that I would not be retiring anytime soon.  Lucky for me, I still like working.

Today is a relax day for me before I hit the honey-do list.  I will be watching the F1 race later today.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning,

Happy Easter to those who celebrate.

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Nice photo of behind the falls; hope
you stayed dry. Enjoy a relaxing day video editing.

Tom have fun in the train shed.

Mike enjoy your time with family.

Jerry safe travels and enjoy the family time.

Tom O hope your meal is a tasty surprise. Unfortunately you can pick your friends but
not your family.

Dale enjoy dinner with your folks. Sorry to hear about your Mom.

Ron glad your got home safely and enjoy the race. When I announced my retirement a few years
ago my bosses, yes more than one, ask "you're you can't work longer?" My reply at 67.....Nope!!!!

What's the rest of you doing?

It's a sunny 50 with a high of 58 in New York. Managed some time at the bench this am. The rest of the
day will be getting Easter Dinner together with our Daughter coming over about 2pm; it'll be nice to
see her.

Have an enjoyable day!!!!! Safe travels, be well, and stay safe.
