Good Morning All,

Sorry no breakfast this morning but I do have coffee, OJ, and soda.

I got up at 0600 because my throat and back were hurting. I can already feel a nap coming shortly.

Nothing done in the train room this week, I just don't have the energy.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Darn near 800, yesterday that turned into a decent day.  Today it's 440 with wind and grey dank overcast.  But! The sun always shines on OPS Session Saturday at Andy K's Nashville Road.  Headed there soon.

While the Doll, daughter and Grd Daughter were out doing girly sale stuff yesterday I was at the ATT store after receiving strange seeming messages, one in email and the other text, suggesting I had made changes to my phone plan.  Snippy little B++++ there said they were from ATT and a form of auto generated advertising.  When I asked about the balance on the iphones we got she looked it up and then said..."That account is in your wife's name...I can't tell you... :(  snippy little no humo(u)r brat..like I, the only customer in the store, had ruined her afternoon... :-\ "Well, hush my ***ing mouth! :-X

Time to roll, be well all.

Morning Gents,

Curt thanks for the coffee. Sounds like you need a vacation from the vacation.
Enjoy your nap.

Karl after I spent a the better part of 50 years dealing with the public and most of the time tried my best to be nice to folks. Now that concept eludes a lot of the younger generation which irritates the crap out of me. I guess that's the way of the world now.

Tom enjoy your day with family; the train shed will still be tomorrow.

What are you doing today.

It's a rainy 59 with a high of 61 in New York. The grass is starting to grow and is nice & green; probably will have to start mowing in another week or so. Didn't make it to the bench yesterday, 1:1 stuff keeps popping up. With the threat of rain all day the prospect of bench time is looking better and better.

Enjoy your day!!!! Be well and stay safe.

Have fun at the ops.

Greg, enjoy your relaxing weekend.

Mike, have fun at the show and hope you raise lots of money.

TomO, hope shopping on the island is less painful.  :)

Ron, I did try the back button but it didn't work.  :-\

Dale, enjoy those long summer days.

Jerry, how are you?

Star and I did a nice 6.9 mile hike with 1,493' of climbing.
Afterward drove to the coast and walked around on Arcadia Beach.
The sand there squeaks when you walk on it and Star was confused by that and kept looking where the sound was coming from.
Was hoping for some nice sky and colors at sunset but it remained gray and overcast.
Maybe today will be better.

One picture from the beach.

Good morning everyone, juice and coffee works for me, thanks.

Northern Colorado weather this morning... cloudy and wet from a little rain yesterday. 44 degrees now going for a high of 69 with sun in the afternoon. Not a bad day at all.

I am planning a trip this morning, pricing tickets and hotels, for a trip to the Oregon coast to see my youngest son, daughter in law and 2 grandkids. I can't wait, it gas been almost 2 years since I have seen them. They are lucky enough to live on the coast during the summer. Eugene is the place for them in the winter as my son, after doing 10 years in the navy, decided to go back to school with big ambitions of a PhD. I think he will pull it off.

Going to put some more roofing on my shipyard structure today until the sun comes out...then I will be outdoors.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Good morning from Wisconsin. I slept for 8.5 hours last night waking at 8:15am. No idea that I needed it but the body decided I did.

We may hit 60 today but maybe 90 on Monday!

Grandson has no hockey this weekend but does have 4 soccer games starting 1/2 mile away in the local soccer complex. His team starts out in the stadium on the turf at noon. The 7pm game is on one of the outlaying fields, #18. Terry wants to walk over. If it's too much for her the daughter or SIL can give us a lift back home. It literally is one of those climb and walk down to things and then back up again. Terry is trying to build her strength back after being out of it basically since T-giving. Slow process as I've been there...

Rick, that might not be a real colorful picture but it's still very awesome

Karl, we had a somewhat same issue walking into the T-Mobile sales center last Fall trying to get some info as the phones were and still are in the company name. I really could have slugged the guy who talked down to us as it was very insulting.

Some train room activity today. I have a bunch of Intermodal chassis to do some touch up weathering and then a final clear coat. The containers have just the initial clear coat with a slight fade color mixed in. I won't get to them until tomorrow or Monday depending on my mood.

The house is too big for us conversation has been brought up again! The daughter and SIL's place won't be ready for move in until at best January 2026 and more like May. It's enclosed right now but that's it. The contractor is on schedule so at best we could sell is next Spring. Thankfully the house is big enough at this time to house the daughter's family and us and not get in each others way too much. Not a conversation last Sunday I thought we'd be having during the past week. The houses in the neighborhood are selling like hotcakes. Less than 2 weeks per average (per Zillow) after the listing it's under contract, sold. It's a nice desirable neighborhood about 20 years old. But who knows what Spring 2026 prices will be like. So much for this being the final house!

Be well and enjoy your day

Howdy folks,

Late getting online today.  I was up at 6 AM for the annual car show at the Masonic Lodge.  We donate all the proceeds to the Georgia Children's Home.  I didn't get home until almost three, so I went upstairs and relaxed at the bench, adding braces to the bridge.

This was an entry in the car show that impressed me the most.  An 86-year-old woman brought the car she bought in 1967 and set up her show site, all by herself.  The beetle looked brand new.

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, assorted donuts, assorted muffins, OJ, and soda.

I've been awake for several hours thanks to the cocktail of meds I've been taking. Today was the first day in 3 that I felt like eating anything. I'll be in nap mode this morning based on how bad I slept last night. I continue to improve but Kathy hasn't and I've been trying to convince her to go to the ER without success.🤐 Wives can be very stubborn (add whatever adjectives you want).

Rick pretty picture.

Mike sounds like a fun event for a good cause.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. Hope you and Kathy get rid of whatever is holding you down.

I had a good time with Pam yesterday and last night we all had a great time at the birthday dinner. I hadn't been to that particular restaurant in about twenty years. After paying the bill, I know why. The food wasn't that great and way over priced.

My plan for today is edge and cut the grass. Since it is Sunday morning, I'll wait until around 9AM to start.

Have a safe and healthy day everyone.
