Happy Friday.  Here in SE NH, we had light rain last night.  It's cloudy and chilly, with more heavy rain moving in this afternoon, ending tomorrow.  The prediction is the rain will stop mid-day, in time for Saturday late afternoon neighborhood Scotch Club.  (Yesterday I want over and cleaned the ashes out of the fire pit...)

Our newspaper carrier was 'shorted' Boston Globe again today, so they delivered the Wall St Journal.  There's an article in there about a guy in Southern California who bought a house that had live steam tracks, which he's refurbished.  It's now for sale, in case anyone has some extra cash:  https://www.wsj.com/real-estate/luxury-homes/backyard-railroad-california-home-aafa8d46

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is muffins. coffee, OJ, and soda. I'm just having coffee.

I'm starting to feel better, the coughing is way down and I have not had to get up in the middle of the night for 2 nights now. Last night I tested negative for Covid. I would say the biggest issue I have now is that I have no stamina. I have lost 14 lbs. as of this morning.

Dave I'll look in my change bucket for the cost of that property. :o

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning Jerry, Dave Curt and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfasts Jerry and Curt.

Curt glad you are feeling better, hopefully the worst is over now.

Currently 76 and overcast here.  No modeling last night as I was tired when I got home last night.  Made supper and then went to bed.  Has a great night sleep.

Well my hearing aid saga continues.  Earlier this week I got my right hearing aid fixed and now my left hearing aid is on the fritz. >:(  Guess what I'll be doing today.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning,

Jerry thanks for the coffee and breakfast this morning. Hope Diane gets a good
report from her blood work.

Dave enjoy the Scotch club. I can only imagine how much the California place must
be selling for.

Curt great to hear you're feeling better and take it easy your strength will return.
Thanks for the second coffee.

Ron the hearing aids has to be a PITA; hope it gets fixed today.

What are your plans.

It's still raining @ 45 with a high of only 51 in New York; today should be the last day of rain.
Lots to do outside when it dries up. Have managed to spend a little time at the bench so hopefully an update today.

Have a great day. Be well and stay safe.

Good morning everyone.

Eugene weather: 47 now then partly sunny, with a high near 75.

Jerry and Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.

Jerry, hope Diane's blood work results is all good news.

Curt, very glad you are feeling better.

Karl, have fun in da Yoop.

Philip, hope the garden can be salvaged.

Larry, hope you can get to your outdoor chores soon.

Ron, hope getting the hearing aid fixed/replaced is easy.

Dave, I'd have to win the lottery twice to afford that.

TomO, will that layout be rebuilt or is it the end?

ACLTom, keep having fun in the shed.

Mike, any news from upstairs?

Greg, sorry about the AC repairs.

How's everyone else doing?

Star and I did a nice 4 mile hike with a bit over 1,000' of elevation gain yesterday morning.
Rest of the day was spent driving towards Eugene and finding a place to stay.
Today's plan is the gym and I'll try again to find an old fashioned barber shop.

Good morning folks,

Jerry, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Yum!  Good luck to Diane with the vampires.

Dave, that's a cool railway.  The price is a bit out of most folk's budget, but hopefully someone will buy it.

Curt, good news that you tested negative.  Now the road to recovery can begin.

Ron, good luck with the other hearing aid.  What a pain!

Larry, I'm looking forward to your update.

Karl, wishing you a great weekend in the yoop.

Philip, good luck with the garden.  Mopping floors does not sound like fun.

Rick, good luck with the hunt. Thanks for the dramatic photo.

TomO, deconstructing layouts is not fun, but operating is.

Gregory, yikes!  The compressor replacement doesn't sound like fun.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another overcast day with a forecast for rain tonight, but 81°F today.

Yesterday, I started work on the layout by gluing all the turnouts in place.  Today I painted the track and will attach power leads when the paint is dry.  Trackwork is my least favorite aspect of the hobby.

Have fun,
mike

Good afternoon CREW from So Central Wisconsin. Dave the California house and estate are nice and it's great it has a railroad. The problem is it's in California. I just can't see living there but my sister and niece love it.

The layout we are taking down completely in Baraboo, Wi is also being rebuilt. Part of the reason this process has been so slow is we deconstruct for 2 weeks and then 1 week build behind where we were. He didn't have the room to remove the layout completely so it's like piece mealing things together. But when we are done it will be another great layout. The old one had over 250 sessions. The one in Fitchburg is new from the 1st board.

I'm being invaded Monday with 5 guys coming over. We are going to get my layout going and doing it myself has been too slow for the guys. 6' of track to re-lay, add a runaround track in 2 places and we are going to test everything. I am serving breakfast at 9am in the kitchen and lunch on the deck at 1pm. About 1pm the wiring guy will be coming over so we want all track work in. He uses a resistance soldering rig to solder feeders to the track. His soldering spots even up close are hard to see. I am heading to HomeDepot for wire this afternoon. I have 1 bus line I use but we will add 2 more. Luckily I had foresight enough to drill extra holes in the frame work to easily add wires. I can twist the wires and run the bus lines Saturday. The wiring guy solders the feeders to the track and his helper will solder the feeders to the bus lines.

Have a great day

Morning all,

Breakfast is ready with Western Omelettes, sausage links along with biscuits and gravy. Fruit bowl for those cutting back. Drinks and hot coffee on the other table.

Jerry, I stopped by but didn't have time to stay.

I edged and cut the grass yesterday and the heat really got to me. I think I got a little heat exhaustion. I did have four Gator aids and two bottles of water so  hydration wasn't an issue. It still took a few hours after the work to get cooled down.

The Judge is coming over to run trains, I think I'll just sit and watch as I'm still beat from the yard work.

Have a great day everyone and stay safe.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Tom. You may need to split the outside work up. None of us are getting any younger. :-\

Starting out the day washing sheets and towels. Not much else planned today. I think we have decided to delay Mother's day until Kathy and I are up for it.

That's all I got.

I hope everyone has a good day.
