Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. I hope dad can get off the low O2. I understand once on it for a long period the patient doens't want to give it up.

Thanks for the comments on the flat iron updates. It has been a fun build but I'll be happy when its finished.

Pam and I have bowling at noon and then home.

Nothing else new here. Oh, the rain finally stopped this morning but still no sun.

Have a safe and healthy day everyone.

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening and breakfast.  Congrats on getting back to the bench.

Karl, congrats on the layout work.  Good luck with the taxes.   :o

Ron, wishing you traveling mercies today.  I worked in DC for four years or so and have sympathy for anyone traveling through there.

Jerry, looking forward to photos of the pier work.

Philip and TomO, I am stunned by the USPS rates. I don't see how small businesses can use their services.

Larry, how was the install across the street?  Hopefully no damage to you.

Gregory, how did the concrete work go?

TomACL, good luck on the lanes.  It has been fun watching the flat iron rise from the pavement.

How is the rest of the gang?

It's a bright morning at 50F, headed to 73F.  I'll take it.  Our average for this time of year is 61F.

Yesterday I finished the A/V system swap with successful results.  It's just a pain to attach all those speaker leads.

All the warping on the shed is gone so I hope to finish the windows and assemble the walls today.  Tonight is Masonic Lodge which is always enjoyable.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning, Finally received a text from Fort Knox so hopefully the meds are ready.

Glad everyone is doing ok.

Spring like weather today! Seizing the day!

Happy stress free modeling!

Good Morning,

Breakfast is waffles, butter, NYS syrup along with crispy bacon and/or pan sausage. Beverages
are on the end.

What's your plans for the day.

Well after 2 weeks and a few setbacks looks like the neighbors are finally getting their new house assembled. The crew and 18 wheeled crane showed up @ 6:30 am. Should be interesting to watch the process from my upstairs window; something I'll never see again.

It's 36 with a high of 42 in New York and no precipitation. Other than watching the fun across the street until I get bored not sure what the rest of the day will bring.

Have a great day!!! Be well and stay safe.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is French toast, fake syrup, OJ, coffee, and soda.

Yesterday I spent several hours in the train room working on the headframe. One step making 2 sides into 4 was pretty tricksie (as Tom would say) and the instructions stated let the glue completely dry before proceeding, so I stopped at that point.

Larry is that considered construction vouyerism?😂

Today a rehab nurse is scheduled at 9 am, then Dad has a cardiologist at 11 am and a delivery of travel O2 sized tanks is due today. I hope to make it to the train room. Fingers crossed.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

Sequoia National Park weather. 43 now and 63 later with some clouds.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Have fun watching the house go together.

Philip, were the meds ready?

Mike, good news on getting the walls straight.

ACLTom, how was bowling?
Are you still in first?

Curt, thanks for the second cup.
Have fun in the train room.

Greg, good morning.

Jerry, how'd you do with the pilings?

Karl, making good progress on the layout?

TomO, have had a chance to taste the oatmeal stout?

Ron, hope there was less traffic yesterday and you arrived safely.

Hope everyone else looking in is doing well.

Checked out the campsite that was supposedly close to Sequoia, but the road was closed and it wasn't that close to the park.
So I decided to drive to the park and paid for three nights camping.
Nice campground and the roads and campsites are paved but I don't understand why when they create each campsite they don't make them level.
This site leans towards the drivers side and while I manage it should be level.  ::)  :-\

Going to do two short hikes this morning to see some very large trees.
As is the usual case at the National Parks Star will have to stay in the van.

I was surprised that it was 65 degrees here when I arrived.
However I was told that the two trails I'm doing today have about a foot of s$#@ on them and they're only 17 miles away.

Sunrise at my Kern Canyon campsite last week.

Have a great day everyone.

TomO/Tloc

Good morning from So. Central Wisconsin where the morning rains may eliminate all snow cover but the parking lot plowed piles. It is 37f degrees with a continuing rainfall till what the app says now is 8:30 or 1 .25 hours from now. When I woke this morning the app said the rain would end at 7:15! The high later should be +50!

Terry lands at 7:50 this evening! The daughter is the chauffeur doing the pickup along with the granddaughter.

Enjoy the day

I spent a weekend at Kings Canyon/Sequoia park about 20 years ago.  I was on a business trip to SoCal that had Friday and Monday meetings, so decided to just stay the weekend.  That was probably June timeframe, and I did see some snow, as I went on some dirt roads in my rented Cavalier :-)  Too bad Star can't come out and play.

Good morning folks,

Larry and  Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.  I'm full now!

Larry, glad there was no more damage to your place.  Did you get a new mailbox yet?

Curt, good luck with the O2 delivery and the train room

Rick, hope the sneaux doesn't deter your hiking plans.

TomO, safe travels to Terry.

Dave, one of the few benefits of work travel, the surrounding area.

How is the rest of the crew?

Yesterday was fruitful upstairs.  Finished the wall studs and windows.  I guess it is time to assemble the walls.  I put another light coat of paint on the boxcar and am happy with the results.  Now I have to decide how and how much to weather it.

Have fun,
mike

Grey and 310 this morning in my area of MICHIGAN.  YESterday was terrific, 500 95% of possible sunlight and just a bit of a breeze.  8)  We lost 90% of our snow save for piles from snow moving.  It was a smile day for sure. ;D  Today, some of that WGFA may be on the way. Nothing significant.

We were out for a bit much of the daylight yesterday, dined with one of the girls late in the afternoon at the Cracker Barrel, was well attended to by a personable young lady and the food was fine.

I worked a couple hours on the curve realignment last evening, maybe another hour to wrap it up today.

Little else to report.  LarryC, when they did that lego thing with our house 25 years ago it was a bit tense to watch but it's been a solid place since.  We're just a 2 part bldg.  ~27'x 52' if I recall.

That's it from my window...be well all.

Karl, did Cracker Barrel institute an egg surcharge?  I noticed egg prices have come down a bit since last week.

Good Morning Folks;

Thought I would stop by since this group seems to get going a lot sooner than the other. Rick I am jealous and beginning to live my life through your pictures. Not long ago it was me sending photos like this to my family. Camping was my favorite passion combined with flying (to get there) and fishing (excuse to get there). I need to bring some of those photos out of storage and share. Of all places visited The Boundary Waters (MN & Canada) was number one with Bachelor Mountain (OR) area running a close second. I'm not saying it was a long time ago but here is a picture of me and my friends biking.  ;D

Morning all,

Thanks for the double breakfast Larry and Curt. I had a little of both.

Well, bowling yesterday sucked. The lanes were dry and I bowled well but scored badly. Meaning I didn't get the pin fall after hitting the pocket.

Rick we finished first for the first half and we are in fourth this half. Bowling is over on April 15, 2025.

I learned yesterday that a friend of ours has Dementia. She retired as a Lieutenant four years ago and is only 62. Very sad to have that terrible disease at such a young age.

Working on the challenge build this morning.

I'm taking Pam out to dinner this evening.

Have a safe and healthy day everyone.
