Good morning folks,

TomO, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Good to see you up and at'em.

Rick, yet another beautiful trail.  Hope today's is the same.

Curt, good to hear your Dad is doing better.  That was some nasty stuff he had.

Jerry, good luck with the rebuild.  Sounds like fun.

Karl, thanks for all the sneaux photos.  They remind me why I live down south.

Philip, I agree on time flying.  It seems like just yesterday that I ...

Gregory, hope the paperwork was done quickly.

TomO, hope your other half gets the eye stuff straightened out. Enjoy the train room.

How is the rest of the crew today?

It's 40F warming to 65F this afternoon.  Clear skies and no wind.

The theater play last night was the best one I've seen.  When I closed my eyes, I would have sworn it was the Four Seasons singing.  The actor who played Franke Valli was dynamite. What a treat!

An electrical storm or repeated power fluctuations zapped the subwoofer and a surround amplifier channel.  They were on a surge protector, too.  I guess I am too tight to buy another decent amp, so today I'll move the amp from my hobby room to downstairs.   The upstairs amp is not as fancy (5.2) as the downstairs amp (7.2), but it has the same wattage.  I don't have two subwoofers downstairs anymore and I don't have the front uppers connected so 5.2 should work just fine.

I don't think I'll get much time upstairs today.

Have fun,
mike

Morning Gents,

Tom thanks for the coffee and breakfast.

Keeping it brief this am; they're setting the 3 house parts on the foundation today
across the street so I need to keep an eye on theses guys. Quite frankly I don't trust them.
I'm supposed to get a new mailbox by days end sine they broke mine and my neighbors; we'll see.

It's 36 with a high of 46 in New York; melt baby melt. not sure about any bench time with all the activity
ging on.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Mike to bad about the power surge.

Weather in South Jersey sunny/44.  Going to 52.
Should be a nice Spring day.
We were at the beach yesterday a beautiful day!

TomO/Tloc

Good morning from Wisconsin. Thanks ACLTom for opening this morning while I was out walking the neighborhood. 42f degrees now and 50 later.

Terry is in Austin and with a phone call this morning to the clinic she said all is good I don't have to handle any of it.

The service that does our "gifted" Christmas outdoor decorations install is closing shop. They will deliver our decorations by noon today. Refunds will go to the brother as he is the one who gifted us the installation.

I will make a post office run today as I sold some containers and chassis. Today I will finish up the weathering of 24 more chassis and container sets. Hopeful I am to get these to the Post Office Wednesday. The USPS is raising rates 13% in May but Mr Trump wants to hold that increase for a review. He feels an increase of 4x the current rates is needed for the USPS to profit after downsizing. Some of my USPS rates are already more expensive than FedX who I will only use as a last resort. One of my Senators told me since I am just a cottage industry I need to pay my fair share of postage rates!

Some train room activities today

Enjoy your day
TomO

Good Morning!

Tom, My 2 cents. Just maybe anyone who is in big business such as USPS is trying to bankrupt the small businesses such as myself. Notice how Amazon packages are handled by USPS and they stick us with higher rates. My PO box, stamps, and shipping price increase is paying USPS employees for the extra work. I'm done with Ebay after 26 years.

Curt. I'm glad your Dad is home!

How's that cough Jerry?

Well Fort Knox awaits my visit to pick up my meds for the next 3 months. Gotta go! have a great day!

I think I'll have an "Octopus Wants to Fight" IPA, sit for a bit and relax.

Day started well, was on the road by &am, there was no at the border and after 3 questions was on my way.  Driving went well til I hit Washington, D.C.  How to you spell "gridlock"  :o  All in all it was a 12hr driving day.  Hopefully tomorrow will go better.

Have a great evening everyone.

Worked on my pier a little bit today not a good day there.
Trying to salvage sometimes is a real PITA!!

If your a round stop by and have a nightcap.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, assorted cereals, bagels and cream cheese, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 59F and calm. I did what I needed to do yesterday and the home health nurse finally showed up around 1830. It seems that the nurse only comes once a week and I need to give Dad his antibiotics via slow IV push. I'm very comfortable doing this with my prior training and experience. It just surprised me.

Today I need to call the O2 company again and I will definitely get to the workbench after a 6 day absence.

Ron traffic finally starts to thin out south of Richmond. Unfortunately you won't get back to 3 lanes until you leave the Carolina's. Watch the police in GA. They love running radar on I-95.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Still dark in MI, back ache got me up early.  :-\  The weather has taken a springish turn, temp this morning is in the upper 30s and we approached 500 in semi sunlight yesterday, lots of ice melting and the snow is sublimating well. Plenty of green showing where the deer were doing lots of digging when it was so cold.

I worked on the layout yesterday some while the Doll was looking over a neighbor's late wife's things to help him work a plan for downsizing after the wife passed away a couple years ago.  I spent a few hours putting the few tax related papers together.  I probably will drop them off at the tax prep office today.  Probably our simple life could be done online but I go into mental deep freeze when confronted with things involving numbers.  :o I'd rather I pay someone that can 'splain things if audited, never have, but...you know...old people worry too much. ???

Some one is coming today to buy the antique maple syrup spiles http://www.eskerridge.com/bj/syrup/spiles16.jpg she has been hoarding for some reason.  It's nearing that time, if not here already. Sweet.. ::)  ::

Be well all.

Morning Gents,

Ron sorry to hear about DC traffic; hopefully today goes better
and have safe travels.

Curt you're up early! Thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Nice you're able to put your
medical training to good use, Were you a Medic in the Navy?

Karl I'm with you when it comes to taxes; although I used to do m own before everything had to be e-filed.
Hope your back feels better soon. With our warmer weather the sap should start flowing soon.

What's the plan for today?

It's a balmy 40 with a high of 43 in New York; hit 47 yesterday. Another couple of warm days and the roofs should be clear. Across the street the house company spent all day getting the site ready for the assembly so probably today. Have to take Mr.B to the Vets late morning for blood work to see  how his thyroid is going; hopefully well. Maybe some bench time later.

Have a great day!!! Safe travels, be well, and stay safe.

Larry no I did sub navigation in the Navy. I did 3 years as a PM with a private company that was dispatched with the FD in Orlando and 8 years with the FD responsible for WDW theme parks and resorts. I just read your last 2 chapters. They have a lot of great action. Well done.

Good morning everyone.

Wasco weather: Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 67.
It's going to be much cooler where I'm headed to today.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Great that dad's home.

Karl, hope your back feels better.

Larry, hope all is well with Mr. B.

Jerry, don't let the modeling set back kill your enthusiasm.

Ron, Metro DC traffic is a nightmare 24 hrs. a day.

Philip, much inefficiency at USPS.

TomO, the customer, which is all of us, ends up footing the bill for high shipping charges.

Greg, another concrete day today?

Mike, glad you enjoyed the show and sorry about the stereo.

ACLTom, I enjoyed your update.

Hope everyone else looking in is doing well.

Back in Bakersfield I spent money at Walmart and received money at Costco.
I use the Costco credit card and used my yearly rebate to pay for my purchases and got change back.  ;D
Then drone to Wasco to hit the gym.
The drive there was interesting to see the endless rows of almond trees and roses.
There were other crops that I couldn't identify.
Today's plan is to head towards Sequoia NP which I'll probably visit on Wednesday.

A picture from the Isabella Peak Trail hike.

Have a great day everyone.

Jerry

Morning everyone

Curt thanks for the coffee & breakfast.

Karl good luck with the taxes.

Larry hope Mr. B is alright.  Watch those house builders!!

It's always good to get money back.

Weather in South Jersey P. sunny/48.  Later 63.
Spring today for sure.
Looks like I have make a few new pilings.
But I'll get my hour in today.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)
