Over a dozen deer chilling out beneath the pines at the back of my yard, they seem pretty comfortable, sleeping in this Saturday morning.

Accomplish next to nothing on the layout yesterday.  We ended up over 3 counties and had a mid afternoon dinner at Applebees, half rack of ribs for me.. ;D  it was sunny and pleasant all day.

The day was topped off by a fine performance by my Spartans down in A2

The Doll is venturing off to help out at the antique store for their Cabin Fever Sale.  I don't go there, ever.

I do plan on some layout time sometime today.

Be well everyone.  Safe and warm.

Good evening everyone.

Busy day today.  I started our the day taking Gracie to the vet for her monthly allergy shot, then it was off to the monthly SLD meet and then the hobby shop.

The bar is open so help yourself.  I'm having a 15yr Dalwhinnie.  I also threw a couple of logs on the fire so it's nice and toastie.  I'm going to sit for awhile before I pack up my Modules.

Have a great evening everyone.

Good evening all.

Ron, thanks for the Dalwhinnie.
Nice and warm here in California without the fire.  :)  8)

Have a great evening everyone and see you in the AM.

Scotch Club tonight included a Ben Nevis (stuff usually ends up going to Japan) and yet another Isle of Rasay.  Rasay has become a bit of a specialty for us, tonight's version was their single cask Chinkapin Oak. Very much oaky, I'm guessing Chinkapin Oak is used for bourbon barrels, as several of us thought there was some sense of bourbon even though those were probably unused oak casks.

Good evening guys!

I'd try the Dalwhinnie but of all the alcohol gifts behind the bar I don't see one. Looked it up online and it's a Scotch Whiskey. I'm a light weight drinker but I'd have tried it even though Whiskey generally isn't for me.

David's Isle of Rasay, nothing like that here either.

I will have what Jerry was drinking but a McKenna on the rocks.

I tossed a couple more logs on the fire and I will just enjoy my drink along with the crackle of the fire and the sound of human silence.

Rick's Oatmeal Stout the other day intrigued me. There are a number of breweries in Wisconsin that brew it. Mentioned it to the Son in Law and on the way home from North Central Wisconsin this afternoon he stopped and picked up a 4 pack he will drop off on Monday. That sounded interesting to me. If I don't like it he'll take the 3 others.

Tom, Founders Oatmeal Stout is my favorite.

Morning all,

Breakfast today is ready, I'm lazy today so we all get bagels and cream cheese. Drinks on the end.

Working on the flat iron build today and did so most of yesterday afternoon. Updates later this afternoon.

Have a safe, warm and happy day everyone.

Out of Grand Rapids, Michigan? A couple years ago we visited the Ford Presidential Museum in GR and stopped in the Taproom.

Thanks

Good morning Crew. A nice comfortable 22f degrees this morning feeling like 15. It wasn't bad on the walk this morning but for a few icy spots on the sidewalks. Melted yesterday, froze overnight. Today the melting should be heavy, with clear bright skies with a low of 40's for the high. The weather guessers continue score! Seems so rare when they are correct.

Both the grandson (2)and Badger ladies won yesterday in hockey. The grandson was additionally cheered on over the Mosinee team by 3 teammates of his mom's 1997 State Championship girls team. He had 3 goals in the 2 wins. Plays this afternoon at home.

I should be able to see some train room time today.

Enjoy the day

Good Morning,

Tom thanks for the coffee and breakfast this am; nothing wrong with bagels & cc.
Enjoy working on your build.

Tom O nice you have hockey games to see in person; it has to be much different than on TV.
Years ago I had the chance to travel to Toronto, all expenses paid, to watch a Pro Basketball
game and had 2nd row floor seats by the court. Best Pro game I've ever seen.

What's today's plan.

It's 26 going to 33 in New York then warming up for the next 5 days....melt baby melt. Managed to finally
find the cause and stopped the leak around the window, for the most part. Hope to relax today and give
my lower back a much needed break; maybe even some bench time.

Have a great day!!!! Keep warm, be well, and stay safe.
