Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, OJ, and soda.

Back in the 50's in Central FL. Just got off the phone with MOH who is returning today and should be home by early afternoon. ;D  Yesterday I did a bunch of measuring on the diorama base and fitting of components. I cut out the mine pit that's under the headframe and "planked" the sides. One wall is really wonky but it will be covered up so no problem. I also glued the track to the base.

Today the next step is starting on the resin detail parts and there's a butt ton of them.

Larry I'm glad you finally got power back.

Jerry I had the same issue with the NBW's and I ended up cutting them off the sprue/carrier inside a plastic container (think Tupperware). It's more awkward but the walls keep the flying parts in the container.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. I'll have some OJ.

Busy day today. Blood draw this morning at O'dark thirty, hair cut as the sun was rising in the East. Sausage biscuit from MDC with OJ and vehicle gas at 8AM.

We have bowling at noon and then late lunch with friends afterwards.

No bench time for me today.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, the coffee, and breakfast.  Good luck with all those detail parts.

It's a bright morning at a cool 38F warming to 77F.

Dave, the custom roof looks like it will resolve the fitment problem.

Ron, sounds like construction in Florida is going well.

Philip, nice work on the jUKE joint.

Jerry, it's a good thing those NBWs don't sprout on the floor.

TomACL, hope today is less busy. Enjoy the lanes.

Gregory, did you dodge the armatures?

Larry, glad the power finally came on.

How is the rest of the gang?

I hope to spend time upstairs working on the shed base. I posted an update on the shed's final state.

Have fun,
mike
My current builds are on the Buffalo Canyon Mining Company's wooden Howe Truss Bridge, and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Rick

Good morning everyone.

Dixon weather: Sunny, with a high near 61.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and keep making good progress at the bench.

Mike, I'll have to look for your update.

ACLTom, have fun bowling and at lunch.

Larry, glad the power is on and hope it stays on.

Greg, fortunately I didn't see a single armature.  ;D  ;)

Jerry, hope you had a productive day at the bench.

Philip, Happy Tuesday!

Ron, I think you might be right about McLaren.

Dave hope those appointments went well.

Karl, what's new?

I was out taking picture of the bridge before and during sunrise yesterday.
Then packed up and started heading to Sacramento.
I'm maybe 10 miles from there now.
When we get there I think Star and I will walk around and explore.

A photo of the bridge before sunrise.

Have a great day everyone.

My problem with NBWs (and other small parts) is when they fly off the tweezers.  That's always accompanied by at least one naughty word.  On the littlest NBWs, I've had loss rates approaching 50%.  Somewhere, a gremlin underneath the workbench has a huge stock of NBWs, like squirrels will cache nuts....

Morning all. Another cold but moderate day. Wife's car has water in the spare tire area. Hopefully a clog somewhere. It had poured buckets Sunday and Monday.

Working the garden today with the bug.
Have a great day!

Morning everyone

Curt thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Have fun painting those detail parts!!

Tom you Pam have a nice day bowling and lunch with your friends.

Mike I'll get over there to see the final pictures.

Rick great shot of the bridge.  Sacramento is a nice town I was there when I was in the service.

Dave your right about that.  And they make funny noises when you vacuum them up!!

Weather in South Jersey sunny/42.  Later on 60.
I never did get to the bench yesterday but will try today.

Everyone have a great day!! :)

Hey everyone, I wonder if the "armatures" are up yet, luckily I avoided them all day.....

Good Late Morning,

Curt I'll grab another coffee, thanks. That makes 2 of us; I hate being out of power...no electric=no water.
Yes Brett doesn't skip on details but you don't have to use them all on this build.

Tom sounds like a busy one for you. Good luck bowling and enjoy dinner.

Mike enjoy your time upstairs and I'll check your update next.

Rick safe travels and thanks for sharing a beautiful photo.

Dave I think the NBW's are in the same place as that sock you just can't seem to find.

Philip have fun gardening; this fall you'll reap the rewards of all your hard work.

Karl what sup.

Jerry hope you find some time at the bench.

Greg morning.

What's your plan for the day?

It's a sunny 41 with a high of 60 in New York. After lunch I may go outside and start raking up all
the fallen branches & sticks from winter; a springtime chore. Maybe some bench time later on.

Have a great day!!! Be well and stay fafe.

I don't have problems finding socks.  Every couple years, I give away my sock drawer and buy a new dozen pair of identical black socks.  Life is too short to have to sort and match socks...

Good evening everyone,

It's a little cool here so I added a couple of logs on the fire and there is assorted spirits on the counter.

Well I see the post I made this morning never made it and it's lost somewhere in the ether.  :o  This is the second time it's happened in the past week.

I posted an update on the module build.  Don't think I'll be able to get any work done on it in the next couple of days as an old estimate has come back to life that needs to be reviewed.  I don't have time during the day, so I'll have to review it in the evening.

Have a good evening everyone.

Good Morning All,

Started out the day with a walk at 49F and calm.

First thing this morning both MOH and I have a visit with the VA vampire. After that we will go to breakfast and then Costco. Probably no workbench today.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

Sacramento weather:Increasing clouds, with a high near 61.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Crispy bacon, cheddar cheese and egg on an everything bagel for breakfast today.

Curt, sounds like a busy day today.

Ron, you probably have mentioned it in the pst, but I forget a lot of things, can you tell us what you do briefly?

Dave, that sounds like a good plan, but who's wearing your old socks?

Larry, I remember having to do that raking.

Greg, anything to avoid today?

Jerry, what's new in Joisey?

Karl, right back at ya.  8)

Philip, hope you got the water out of the trunk.

Mike, TomO, ACLTom and everyone else looking in, how are you?

Drove to Sacramento yesterday.
Drove to the downtown area and it was almost impossible to find a parking spot.
Once I found one, Star and I walked around.
Seeing the old part of town was the best part.
Today's plan includes the California State RR Museum and then the gym.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Gents,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Enjoy the museum. Sadly
my neighbor has 3 trees just off the property line that shed twigs like crazy.
I mentioned something last year about them and he said he was going to get them removed;
hasn't happened yet. Maybe I raked them up and drop them over the fence?

Curt good luck with the vampires; hope the results are good.

What's your plans for the day?

It's a sunny 46 with a high of 72 in New York. Noticed yesterday the spring flowers are up
between 2 & 3 inches. Tomorrow is the first day of Spring; so maybe? Taking Ellie out this afternoon
for awhile and stopping for dinner while we're out. Maybe some bench time this am.

Have a wonderful day!!!! Be well and stay safe.
