Good morning, RIck, Curt and Karl.  Cloudy, damp and headed for mid-40s on the NH seacoast.

Rick, when you were in Mosier did you drive up US 30 to the overlook above Rowena? An excellent long view of that part of the Columbia, plus railfan photography potential for both BNSF and UP:

Good morning Curt, ACLTom, Larry, Rick, Karl, James and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and bagel Curt, great news about your father.

ACLTom, take it easy with the yard work, you will want lots of energy when you make it to the bench later today.

Larry, have fun at the bench (if you make it there).

Rick, seeing as I'm going home next weekend, I'll bring back what I need.  Enjoy your hike with Star.

Karl, that pictures looks cold, nice shot.

James, great looking shop, with trains in it to boot.

Currently 65F and slightly haze here.  I decided that I'll finish up the Reeds bookstore kit till I get back from being home where I can bring back the supplies I need to finish Rexall Drugs.  Not shore how much of an interior it will get as it is down the street.  Will have to set it in place and check out the sight lines.

Have a great day everyone.

Looking rather gloomy today but suppose to clear off by 1pm. Same here Karl a blazing 50 maybe.

Hopeful finish up the outdoor projects.

Your welcome Larry and yes, Rick my layout, aka Devils Mountain R/W. Be careful on that hike today, 10 miles is quite a venture.

Interesting photo James.

Well off to the shop soon to do some oil changes.

Have a great day!

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast. About your Dad, glad his results were normal.  The other morning I felt great, then I remembered I hadn't taken my daily meds...  Good luck with the diorama.

TomACL, enjoy the smell of fresh cut grass.

Larry, good luck with the 1:1 stuff.  Tree making is fun, and there are so many techniques to explore.

Rick, enjoy the 10-mile hike.

Karl, don't get heat stroke outside.  ;)

James, nice photo.

Ron, good luck with the Rexall store.  Safe travels home when you go.

Philip, enjoy the shop.  ;)

Jerry, good luck at the bench.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning, but cool at 57F, but headed to 65F.  I think the thunderstorms are over for a few days.  Yesterday, my wife tricked me with one of the oldest in the book.  She said, "Let's go to Cracker Barrel for lunch after I finish yoga".  I said sure.  After lunch, she said, "Since we are near Lowe's, let's stop by and look at plants."  Bottom line is that I have planting in my near future.

I worked a bit on the layout yesterday, mainly designing the bridge abutments for the nice Hunterline Howe Truss bridge.  It is on the far left end of the layout and will be the first thing I complete.

I finished making the straps for the tank car and completed the trucks. Baby steps...

Have fun,
mike

Morning Gents,

Coffee's on as well as the other morning beverages. Breakfast is hash & eggs along with crispy bacon.

Yes Jerry gonna make some new much taller trees; so we'll see how that goes.

What are your plans for the day?

It's a rainy 40 with a high of 47 in New York. Going to work on the basic ground cover for Jacobs this morning then this afternoon going to the Daughters so Ellie can see her apartment for the first time. Firing up the GPS since I haven't driven there yet myself.

Enjoy your day!!! Be well and stay safe.

My plan is to work on MR II so I can move on to something else.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good morning everyone.

Cottonwood Canyon weather: Sunny, with a high near 50.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and have fun visiting your daughter.

ACLTom, have fun in the shed.

Greg, enjoy your day off.

Mike, can't believe you fell for that.  ;)  ;D

Jerry, how was dinner?

Philip, how about more pictures of the layout.

Ron, driving or flying home?

James, no, I didn't have time for that because I had to meet my friend at The Dalles.
I did see trains on both sides of the river.
While driving I did see a train on the Washington side and you could see it's reflection in the river.
Would have been a nice shot but no way to pull over.  :-\

Karl, nice moody photo.

Curt, happy belated birthday to the submariners.

TomO, anything happening in Wisconsin?

Couldn't hike the entire trail yesterday because the last 1 1/2 miles were closed because it's mating season.
Still did almost 7 miles with nice scenery and got lucky seeing a pair of Big Horns.
Another hike today then shoving off to head a bit further south.
It was nice outside in the PM and had a cigar with my coffee.

A short video of the big horns I saw: https://youtube.com/shorts/vTUtUxVcTY8

And a scene from the hike.

Good Morning All,

Larry thanks for opening and breakfast. Have fun with daughter today.

I've just got off the SWA app and printed the boarding passes for tomorrow. I hate flying these days and knock on wood I hope it goes smoothly.

Today will be packing and last minute errands. Probably no bench time.

I'll be back on the 22nd if everything goes to plan.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning Larry, ACLTom, Rick, Curt and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry, Hope Ellie likes the apartment.

ACLTom, have fun in the shed

Rick, will be flying home, 1288 miles is beyond my driving thresh hold for trips home. ;D

Curt, I also hate flying but consider it a necessary evil.

Mike, all those baby steps add up in a hurry.

Jerry, are we ready for an update soon?

It's a cool 54F and sunny here in northern Florida.  Not sure what tonight will bring, maybe some bench time after I watch the qualifying for the F1 race.

Gave a great day everyone.

Sun and Fun in my slice of the mitten, ~300 to start with a promise of 600 by afternoon. So much better than what we've been having.

Building a small train station from styrene and the parts box.  Allergy sneezing seem to be getting ahold of the morning. :P

Everyone have a fine day.

Good morning folks,

Larry, thanks for opening, the coffee and breakfast.  Enjoy the trip to your Daughter's place.

TomACL, wishing you a speedy completion of MRII.

Rick, I did score acetone, paint thinner, and a can of camo paint.  Enjoy your hike and safe travels south.

Curt, safe travels.

Ron, good luck to your fav F1 team.

Gregory, relaxing and reading sound mighty good.

Karl, enjoy the train station build.  Styrene is fun to use for structures.

How is the rest of the gang?

It's a bight cold morning at 42F but warming to 65F later.  I promised to help put plants in the ground later...

Yesterday, I glued the tank to the frame and inserted one side of the straps.  The BCMC custom decals arrived from Dave's Decals, so I will try applying them to the tank.  I haven't put a decal on anything for at least 10 years.  :o

Have fun,
mike
