A real heat wave here in MI this morning, 210 at the closest semi official reporting station here.  The sun is shining off the pines to the W of my communications center.  8)

How about the 20th Century Ltd special blend in the big pot this morning and a set out of earl Grey tea bags and a pot of steaming water, from the Water Level Rte diner.  Eggs, bacon and a variety of fresh fruit.  Pan cakes and Michigan Maple syrup.  Diet and Leaded Sody Pop in the ice tray.  The cook just started a batch of buckwheat cakes on the grill, word is they's be OhTay! some of that chemical sweet goo for those of us watching the sugar levels. :o

I worked on the layout yesterday for several periods and read in between.  It was frigid and grey.

Enuf for now.  Be well all.  How it in your neck of the woods? :P

Good morning folks,

Karl, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Sounds like shorts and tee weather has returned to the mitten.

It's a frosty 18F this morning, clear and headed to 46F.

Wishing everyone a happy Friday.

Have fun,
mike
My current build is the Water Tower and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Good morning everyone.

Lake Isabella weather: 43 now and 67 later.

Karl, thanks for the second cup.

Not sure what I'll do today.
It's either go on a short hike or just stay here at camp to do research and maybe a cigar.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning;

Woke up to 36º this morning, chilly for Central Florida. Suppose to hit 60º today. Still it is clear and sunny so good walking day. I am still fiddling with different roof ideas on current build when time permits. I have a modeling group get together today so that will be fun. Need to get a haircut sometime too. Anyway thanks for the coffee, off to the workbench for an hour.

Morning Morning,

Spent yesterday afternoon pulling snow off the back roof. Using a metal ladder agent ice is a treat.
It's 14 with a high of 22 in New York. Starting tomorrow it's going to warm up into the high 30's and low 40's for the next five days; we need the relief and get the snow gone. This afternoon it's time to pull snow off the porch roof. Modeling's been replaced by winter fun; oh well.

Have a great day.

Morning all,

I don't know what Jim means by a good walking day here in Central Florida.  I normally talk my walk at 7 a.m. but, today it seemed like a better idea to stay under the blanket.

I'll have a cup of Earl Grey, Karl.  One of my favorites.

Note much on the agenda today.  That's a good thing.  I'll pick out a movie (or two) to play in the background while I work on some builds.

Have a great one!

I'll have a cup of that coffee Karl.

Another cool day here in South Jersey.
Hopefully some bench time.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Morning all.

A cool eight degrees here today with a high to 20.  Tomorrow our deep freeze week finally ends with a possibility of getting to 32.

I have the next eleven days off as my wife has a total knee replacement on Monday and someone needs to take care of her and the dog.  Hope to get some bench time in between.

Well, UPS is efficient!  They picked up my NESL package late yesterday and it's out for delivery today.  (That's because both NESL and Dover NH are served by the same UPS hub...)

Today I'll work on the Ambroid kit undercarriage, tomorrow I'll work on the roof.  I'm running out of excuses to not finish...

Best of luck to Mrs Jeff.  Wife had a lot of pain with her knee replacement, the Oxy they gave her didn't work as expected.

Single digits on the North Coast. Varying between sunshine and blustery winds tossing yesterday's snow around.

Got a few more wires soldered on the control panel for "Oswego Harbor" All the tortoise turnouts and their corresponding lights work to show selected paths.

Annual physical proved I'm still breathing.

Good morning, all. This morning's overcast has blown out to sea and the sun is powering my computer and melting the frozen sneet off my driveway.  Another cold night coming, but NOAA says days will be above freezing Saturday well into the week.

I've paid bills and looked over the forum, now it's time to get back to my Flying Yankee presentation.

Mornin,' All!

25 (!), feels like 25 (!!) and the grey blanket is fraying all over up here in the northern mitten this morning!  Local TV has an article entitled "Some areas could see glimpse of sunshine Friday" and that sounds like a dang fine idee!

So the questions remain.... Bills were paid and mailed yesterday, the taxes still need work and the Big Decision is whether to watch the actual sunshine out there or fire up the tractor and widen out the driveway and parking area or work on taxes or try to make some rail progress for the Op Session on 5 March....  Decisions, decisions!

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

Afternoon all.  I've been running errands this morning to include a stop at Michaels to restock supplies.  The sun's shining brightly in Tidewater Virginia and the temperature is above freezing, so we're about to go for a walk.  Later I have some non-model railroad cutting to do on my Cricut.
