Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Enjoy the train room day.

TomACL, wishing you a great day with Pam.

Dave, hope you enjoy the concert.

TomO, golf sounds like fun, enjoy.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another bright morning, with a forecast of 85°F.  College football and 3D printing are on the agenda for the day.

Have fun,

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Nice to hear you slept well and have fun in the train room.

Tom enjoy your day with Pam.

Dave enjoy the concert.

Tom O. enjoy the golfing.

Mike enjoy the game and the printing.

What's your plan for the day?

It's another sunny 59 with a high of 75 in New York. The Contractor is finished with everything so now I can get outside and do some things; still waiting for the final bill. Not sure if the bench is in my future today. Spending extra time trying to keep Mr. B cleaned up; his drooling is worse so I think it may be the end of the line for him soon....oh well.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Good morning everyone.

Rialto Beach weather: Areas of fog before 10am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 71. It will rain tonight.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Have fun in the train room.

TomO, good luck to your grandson and have fun golfing.
Interesting about the fish tossing.

Dave, enjoy the concert.

ACLTom, have a fun day with Pam.

Mike, was the second printout better?
Good news on the sprinkler fix.

Ron, you had a busy day yesterday.

Larry, is the back of the house done?

Jerry, have fun with your friend.

Karl, is the exhaust vent done?
Glad you enjoyed the B&W photo and smears is yiddish.

How's everyone else doing?

Walked around Forks with Star.
No vampires to be seen.
Not much to see there so didn't stay long.
The best thing in town was this shay.

Later in the day drove to Rialto Beach which is in the Olympic NP.
Walked along the beach taking pictures.
Beach is covered in flat stones and there's a lot of large pieces of driftwood.
I plan on walking further along the beach today at low tide to hole in the wall.
Star can't go and low tide is at 10:30 AM.

Another photo from Cascade Pass.

Have a great day everyone.

Grey with rain in the area and forecast for today here in MI.

I got a start on the ventilation system.  My engineering is ad hoc and getting it from the thought process to the construction 'crew' is challenging. I don't work very fast.

Dinner tonight with a group of folks we hardly know at an area unofficial neighborhood group associated with an old school house the group has.  Friends are the hosts and we've been roped in.  ::)

Das it from here in MI.  Go GREEN!

Rick, I'm looking at the Cascade Pass photo and wondering about lighting.  Did you adjust that?  There seems to be a lot of saturation there.  Of course, that could also be due to the natural light, possibly 'enhanced' with fire smoke.

Dave, I shoot in RAW and every single photo I post has adjustments made.
All good photographers make adjustments to their photos.
You'd be surprised to see how much Ansel Adams made adjustments to his photos.
But it's not just photography where adjustments are made.
Every single TV show, movie, record album, etc has been edited and engineered to sound and/or look better.
Even cooking has adjustments made by adding spices.

Today's photo doesn't have any more adjustments made than I normally do.
I almost never touch the saturation slider.
I always add some contrast, increase the shadows, lower the highlights, add a little dehaze, and bump up clarity and texture in Photoshop.

deemery

Rick, thanks.  Looks like you captured some particularly vivid light!

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, sounds like yesterday's VA visit went, well, have fun in the train room.

ACLTom, enjoy your day with Pam.

Dave, enjoy the concert.

TomO, have fun at the golf course.

Mike, enjoy the college football this afternoon.

Larry, now you can get the back yard back in shape.

Rick, enjoy the walk along the beach, too bad Star can't come with you.  I see you have a knack of turning a mundane picture into a dramatic one.

Karl, Enjoy the dinner tonight, hope the ventilation installation is going to your satisfaction.

It's currently 19c (66f) and cloudy.  Got off to a late start had some errands to run.  Finished the pier last night and will post an update later today.  Now I need to give Gracie a bath and then it's more bench time for me.

Have a great day everyone

Good Morning All,

Breakfast today is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Started out with a walk at 71F and low humidity. The outside air was actually pleasant this morning.

Well the cabin car project is over. The kit was apparently pretty old because while trying to build it yesterday it started breaking and I ended up salvaging the items Tom gave me and I'll return them at the next SBG. :(

Afternoon chores I need to send Brett from SW an email. Four weeks ago he said he expected to ship my kit in a week.

That's all I have.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and bagels. Bummer about the cabin car.  Good luck with SW.

Jerry, nice to have a good time with friends.

Philip, how does your garden grow?

Ron, congrats on the pier completion.

Karl, good luck with your venting system.

Rick, thanks for posting the RAW and tweaked photos.  Amazing work.

Larry, hope Mr. B improves soon.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another beautiful day in the making.  The temperature is forecast to be 86°F.  Yesterday I took Sweetie for her annual exam and vaccinations.  My team won yesterday, so I'm happy about that.  I did not go upstairs, so no update on 3D printing, etc.  Not sure what the day has in store.

Have fun,
mike

Mike nice to hear your team won. Thanks for the well wishes for Mr.B.

How's the rest of the crew doing.

It's a cloudy 56 with a high of 77 with a few spotty showers throughout the day in New York. Not much to add this am.

Have a great day!! Be well.
