Good morning folks,

Coffee, assorted drinks, and western omelets are on the counter.  Some of the omelets have jalapeƱos...

Rick, the photo looks great.  I love the sage and other flowering plants.  Thanks.

Greg, the time at Tom's sounds like a lot of fun.

Karl, glad you now have a fast internet for all your devices.  Those good ole' boys are a long way from home.

Philip, thanks! The camel is looking fantastic.

Jerry, congrats on surviving the highway.  Enjoy the weekend with family.

Dave, time in the train room is always good...

TomO, did you get to the Madison art fair?

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning with a high forecast for 91F.  I'm looking forward to my birthday trip with my Daughter.  They are always fun.

Thanks for the birthday wishes.  I love having them.

I worked on the stock car yesterday while the glue on the layout dried.

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Mike. Have a great time with your daughter.

Had a good time at Tom's yesterday with the guys. Have both inside and outside chores today but the outside ones should be quick.

After chores nothing much planned for the day. I need to spray weed killer around the hard edges outside but it's supposed to rain hard all week and I can't see doing it just to have it washed out.

That's enough blabbing for now.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Appreciate the breakfast Mike, drinks are nice and cold - well the OJ is anyway.

Yepper, had a great time yesterday and of course plenty of BSing to go with the fun. We retired to our local Saturday watering hole for lunch.

I'll spend most of the day in the train shed modeling, err, I mean working.  8)

Have a safe and healthy day everyone.

Tom

Good Morning,

Mike thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Have fun upstairs.

Curt I agree no sense of spraying only to have it all washed away.

Tom glad you guys had such a good time yesterday. Have fun in the shed.

What's the rest of you doing.

It's a partly sunny 79 with a high of 88 in New York and probably some rain. Mr B keeps getting up on his hind legs touching my arm wanting to be petted; this post could take some time to write. Daughter's coming over this afternoon to go over our Wills and such. Not the most pleasant conversation to have but necessary for down the road. Bench time?

Have a great day!!! Be well and be safe.

Morning Mike & Crew,
Every stick of corn grown was blown over yesterday. The good news is it will stand back up on its own. It is over 7 feet tall, now looking pitiful.

Spent a couple hours with the Camelback redoing the Fireman deck after accidentally filing through the brass strap holding it together.

The rain cooled it down about 25 degrees. Planning a trip to the shop when the JB Weld dries.

Have a great Sunday!

Good morning from smokey hazed filled Wisconsin. Our air has really gotten bad with 1.5 days of no rain to rinse the sky. The Canadian wild fires are definitely doing a number on our air quality.

We did not get to the Art Fair yesterday and most likely not going this morning. The Friday afternoon and evening severe storms interrupted vendor set up so they delayed opening 3 hours to noon on Saturday. We were at a local Farmers Market yesterday when we found out about the delay. By noon Terry's COPD couldn't handle the lousy air and the high humidity so we stayed home. Even though they delayed opening yesterday they still had record breaking crowds per the Madison PD.

The grandkids are ours this afternoon while their parents are going boating this afternoon with 3 other couples. We are heading to a 2pm movie and probably 5 Guys after for an early dinner.

The grandson and his friends yesterday cleaned the area the slot car track was in and did a great job while Terry and me did a last minute grocery run. They then went swimming at one of the friend's house.

I doubt I get to the trains today

Be well

Good morning Mike, Curt, ACLTom, Larry, Philip TomO and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Mike, enjoy your trip with your daughter.

Curt, Hopefully the chores aren't too difficult.

Tom, have fun "working" in the shed.

Larry, hope you make it to the bench.

Philip, looking forward to further camelback photos.

TomO, have fun with the grandkids.

It's currently 28C (82F) here and overcast with rain in the forecast.  Never made it to the bench yesterday as I ended up working all day.  Was up at 6:00am and worked to 10:00am, work is all done now.  Have some chores to do but should make it to the bench this afternoon.

Have a great day everyone.

Hazy grey sunlight in smoke infested Upper Michigan  8)  :o There is a faint odor of smoke.  :P  I'd imagine it a real challenge for anyone attempting to fly VFR today.  Not that I'd be the slightest bit interested in that any more.  Like TomO's lady, mine is also feeling it.  We just had a PURPLE Alert on our air quality from the National Weather Service  :-\

We're enjoying the stunningly fast fiber internet. Son in Law from our geek crew was impressed with it as well as the stats of the interface, Wi-Fi box.  Unfortunately there is nothing to hold a candle to that back home in 'civilized' rural,SCentral MI.

We're headed shortly to a Strawberry Fest at nearby Cooks a minute blink and ya miss it community nearby.

Enough for now.

KS smokin and chokin in da Yoop... :o

Afternoon

I see my post from this morning is somewhere in space!!

I didn't have much to say anyway.
We have been busy with Diane's niece.
And her one son and his girlfriend showed up this morning on there way home from the beach.

I should post some pictures of later of the details I've been working on.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, donuts, OJ and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 78F and high humidity. It's not as bad as yesterday...yet. Yesterday I did the outside chores including cleaning a spot by the front door entrance that had green concrete. As soon as you stepped outside you started sweating (in the shade).

Today is washing clothes and cleaning bathrooms. Found out yesterday we actually will be in Lakeland Thursday thru Saturday for the rescue fundraiser which is usually the largest of the year. Thankfully it's inside with AC. Lakeland is about an hour drive but the traffic between here and there is usually bumper to bumper so we're staying 2 nights there.

That's it from here.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Gents,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Sounds like you're going to busy for a few days.
I hate heavy traffic; too many idiots on the road. Wishing you safe travels.

What's going on in your neck of the woods.

It's a partly sunny 71 with a high of 87 in New York. Going back into the low 90's again this week. After such a hard cold winter I'm surprised this summer is so hot. I need to mow the lawn at some point this week.
Not sure about the rest of the day.

Have a great day!!! Be well and stay safe.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

Stanley weather: Sunny, with a high near 88.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Since it's so hot outside, maybe being inside doing chores isn't so bad.

Larry, seems like it's hot everywhere.

Karl, Wow, that is a lot of smoke.
Cue up some Deep Purple.  ;)
How was the Strawberry Fest?

Greg, have a great week at work.

Jerry, you should post some pictures.

Ron, hope there's less work and more bench this week.

TomO, what movie did you see?

Philip, did you make a new brass strap?

ACLTom, did you make a lot of progress in the shed yesterday?

Mike, have fun on your birthday trip.

Yesterday's hike was quite the workout.
8.71 miles and 1,781' of climbing.
The last 1/2 mile of the trail was the hardest because it was very steep and covered in a thick layer of scree.
It was one step up and then slide 1/2 step down.  :-\
Coming down was mostly a controlled slide.
It was nice at the top when we got to Goat Lake.
But not as nice as Delta Lake at GTNP.
Drove back to where I was camped on Saturday and found an even better campsite.
Relaxed the rest of the day.
Star spent all afternoon sleeping in the shade outside.
Today will be a rest day.
