Good day today, especially after a trip to the gym, y'all have a good one.....

Tom.....not having a good couple of weeks, Pegi and I will keep your family in our prayers.

Jim.....don't sent those storms down here.

Rick.....beautiful scenery, but that lake looks a little to frigid to a South Florida Boy.

Good morning everyone.

Stanley weather: Increasing clouds, with a high near 83.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Breakfast burritos filled with eegs, bacon and cheddar cheese for breakfast today.

Greg, funny you mention the frigid water.
In the picture I posted yesterday with Star, we had to climb over a log jam to get to that spot.
Did it with no problem.
But, on the way back I stepped on the wrong log and went into the water almost knee deep.
Surprisingly it didn't feel that cold.
Fortunately nothing important got wet and was able to get out without any further problems.

Jim, hope the storms didn't create any problems.

Jerry, I saw lots of areas in NJ underwater.
Any flooding in your area?

Larry, congratulations on the new kit.

Karl, that looks delicious.
What's the stuff on top that looks like scrambled eggs?

TomO, good luck with the new venture.

Ron, any track get laid?

ACLTom, sorry Pam and you are going through more grief.
All the best to both of you.

Philip, any problems from those storms?

Curt, how's the skunk herd doing?

Mike, hope you're enjoying your trip.

Another hike planned for today.
A shorter mostly flat one this time.

This is from Sunday's hike to Goat Lake.
Last boulder field to climb before getting to the lake.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee and breakfast.  Glad your lumberjack log walking turned out okay.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's going to be warm again at 93F, but no rain.

The surprise trip wasn't to a train venue this year, but to the BMW Factory tour in Spartanburg, SC.  What an amazing operation.  Of the 11 BMWs I've owned, five were made in that plant.  It employs 11,000 workers.

Today we celebrate with lunch at Star of India followed by a movie, Jurassic World.

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Glad to hear nothing important got wet; that must have gotten your attention real fast. Even though I'm not one for kits that one really caught my fancy; looks like it'll be a fun build and probably as a diorama.

Mike it's nice you were able to tour the Plant; gives you an appreciation of what it takes to build a BMW.
Enjoy the meal out and the movie; I hear the movie is really good.

What's your plans for the day.

It's a sunny 70 with a high of 89 in New York. Went and got "Vampired" first thing this am and boy was it foggy @ 6:15 am. By the time I left the fog had started to lift for the most part. Looks like today will be lawn mowing day with some bench time thrown in for good measure.

Have a great Day!! Be well and be safe.

Morning all,

Thank you all for the condolences for my cousin Rusty. Pam and I made the decision to not go to Port St. Lucie on Thursday. I spoke to his sister and daughter and want them to have time together prior to being invaded with other family members. We'll go in the next two weeks when his ashes are spread in the Atlantic. Rusty was a charter boat Captain for deep sea fishing.

Rick, thanks for breakfast.

Mike have fun at the movies.

We have bowling practice today and lunch with friends. They want to go to Outback. Not a favorite of mine but I'll see what if anything is new on the menu.

Have a safe and healthy day everyone.

Morning Crew!

The storms knocked all our corn down last Friday. It starting to stand up yesterday but may need some attention after todays 11:00 am cyclones. Crazy weather here! BTW, the corn was over 7 feet tall!

But......great modeling weather, sinister voice, ha ha ha ;D

Have a great day!

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. I'll bet the dropping into the water was a shock.

I've already completed chores here and it's raining off/on lightly. It's supposed to rain all day with downpours mixed in.

Nothing much else planned today, but I'm sure MOH will come up with something for me. ::)

Rick pretty photo. The herd is doing well.

Mike sounds like an interesting tour. Let us know about the movie.

Larry take it easy on the outside chores.

Tom have fun with your friends. I'm not a fan of outback either.

Philip enjoy the modeling.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Have a nice time at the movies and lunch.

Larry have a nice day don't overdo the mowing.

Tom have fun bowling.

Philip that's some pretty tall corn does it have the fruit yet??

Curt you modeling today??

Weather in South Jersey sucks.  Cloudy/rainy/76.
We had storms come through last night again.
Maybe it will cool off enough so I can work on my models later today.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

8) Hazy/smoky bright and breezy in the Yoop this morning.

I've been on phone calls as it's #77 today.  :)

Rick, that is vanilla ice cream on top of cake.

Plans today are low key.  Dinner place not open Tues so that will be delayed until tomorrow.

Might dig out the kit I brought along and at least look at the parts and futz with then, I'm in the last stages of a book as well.

Enjoy the day all. Stay safe.

Good morning from Wisconsin. 76 now maybe 90 this afternoon. It's a beautiful morning with just a hint of the smoke haze.

If the plan hasn't changed we are heading to see Superman this afternoon. 3rd movie in the last 2 weeks and 3rd movie since the Covid shutdown.

The granddaughter has a softball game at 5:30. We are taking both kids as the daughter has a 6pm board meeting and the SIL is in Chicago for a meeting there. He will join us there. The SIL's dad (nice guy) and his girlfriend will also be there.

No train activity is planned for the day but none for yesterday either. I did though get to spent an hour in there just tinkering on the layout.

I just scheduled an appointment with the Town planning committee about my subdivision. They approved it last year but now I'm acting on going forward myself and not selling it. The contractor will join me. More of a meeting to just keep them informed and I don't expect any issues especially since this is an "affordable" subdivision. Politics of course has reared its ugly head in the local home construction but I won't go into that here. But I followed their suggestions to the letter. The person most excited besides Terry the banker is the contractor. He'll be able to keep his 3 crews definitely busy over the Winter. Thanks for the well wishes. I have been discussing this for over a year with Terry but now it's real.

KARL—-HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Enjoy the day

Happy Day, Karl!

I'm back from the doctor, I have a bug bite of some sort on my leg that got infected and itches.  So I got antibiotics, antihistamines and a cream.  So after I finish taking/applying that stuff, I'll eat lunch and head down to the train room for a bit.  It's 85 heading to 90 with lots of humidity, more of that Florida weather.
