Another peachy sunset with the smoke last night.

Temperatures in the 50s climbing to 80s with minimal humidity and nearly zero rain chance. Later in the week temps going to the 90s and rising humidity for next weekend :P

Plan today is maintenance on the mower because the grass is still growing with the lack of rain.

Heading for a bowl of Cheerios I guess. :-\

Later all.

Morning everyone

Larry thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
I hope it's a good report for Mr. B.

I have to keep this short this morning we have errands to run.
Then to the beach to be with the kids.

Weather here for the beach is perfect sunny mid 80's.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good morning Larry, Mike, Dave, Rick, Curt, TomO, Karl, Jerry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry. Hope you get positive news about Mr. B from the vet.

Mike, have fun with the desert scenery, that's something I have never done.

Dave, Glasses are expensive here too,

Rick, I think Hamilton is frustrated with the car, maybe he is regretting leaving Mercedes.  ;D

Curt, hope the A/c install goes well.

TomO, sounds like there are a lot of great layouts in the Madison Area.

Karl, have fun with the mowing.

Jerry, have fun at the beach.

Currently 21c (70f) and hazy here, not as bad as yesterday, but still hazy.  Have the day off today as it is a civic holiday here, but still have a busy day planned.  Have a project closing tomorrow sot have a couple of hours of work to do, walk Gracie and the Mrs has a couple of things for me to do.  Should be able to get to the layout late this afternoon or this evening.  Yesterday I got the 4th track in the staging yard completed.  After that I have 2 more turnouts to install before I can start laying the 5th and final track.  Progress is being made.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning!

CA and lenses just don't mix. I'm trying avoid doing that every session. I always get CA on my forearm sticks like a band aid.

Has anyone here experimented with glycerin with MRR greenery? I bought a bottle just for fun.
Work continues on the figure and the program Plasticity is kicking me in the backside.

The peppers are getting big. Harvested the corn....or what looked like corn and the yield was terrible.

Later!

Late morning all,

I spent the last few hours at the Firestone Store getting two new front tires and front end alignment.

I'm in the train shed now working on the cabooses. I'll try to get an update on the layout thread later today or tomorrow at the latest.

Hope all are having a safe and happy day.

Mike, that's exactly what I thought.

ACLTom, cabooses look great.

Philip, congratulations on the peppers and next year the corn will be better.

Ron, I'm sure Hamilton regrets the move.

Jerry, glad you're finally able to enjoy the beach.

Karl, cool sunset picture.

TomO, hope the smoke has started to clear out.

Curt, safe travels and have fun.

Dave, you'd like Idaho.

Larry, how's Mr. B?

Greg, how's your week going?

I'm up extra early again to do another hike.
Today's goal is the top on Mt. Spokane.

Nice shot Rick.  Smoke and grey in Michigan this morning, early.

1:1 is the word.  PT on my back this afternoon.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and have a safe hike. Great photo!

Karl easy on the 1:1 stuff and good luck with the PT.

Breakfast assorted doughnuts and/or muffins.

What's your plan for the day.

It's a sunny 60 with a high of 86 in New York. The Vet gave Mr.B a steroid shot so we'll see if that clears things up. Grocery shopping is the word of the day and I also need to stop and get my new glasses adjusted. That's about it from here.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Morning everyone

Larry thanks for the coffee and breakfast.

Great picture Rick have a nice hike today.

Karl there's that ugly word again 1:1!

Weather in South Jersey cloudy/68.  Later 83.
These clouds aren't what the "Weather Weenies" predicted last night.
But then again how often do they get it right.
We have some errands this morning then will head to the beach to see the kids.
Yesterday was a perfect 10 there.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Cloudy and cooler than yesterday, 70 heading to 78.  Humidity is still acceptable, so I'm OK.  I realized the itchy eyes I've been having is due to Canadian wildfire smoke, air quality here is not good (but not as bad as in Karl's photo!)

Today I'll try connecting the belts to the drive shaft pulleys.

TomO/Tloc

Good morning from Wisconsin. 63 now 83f degrees later. We still have the Air Quality Alert till midnight because of the smoke but the AQ has been upgraded from UNHEALTHY to FAIR! Hey, it's an improvement

OPS session from 9 to 1 with no lunch scheduled but there will be snacks in the lounge. This is a steam locomotive layout and this guy has those things tuned better than some diesels. At least 4 of us in the Crew Van today and a stop for beans on the 30 minute ride home will occur. It's  drivers choice but no fast service food places allowed today and never McDonald's with these guys!

Enjoy your day
TomO

Morning crew, My friend Carl called yesterday and said he tripped in the yard, broke his nose and fractured a vert in his neck and at the same time was recovering from hip and knee surgery back in March. He's in good spirits and said he's wrapping up in bubble wrap. Getting old sucks! He said he was meeting the Amazon driver and lost his footing. Was a full blown 911 deal and the neighbor also observed and helped out.

I was messing with the 3d Fusion and new Plasticity. I dumped plasticity and now trying Cadfree. I honestly think 3d isn't for me. I'm just not getting it. My Grandson is a wizard at Fusion......go figure.

Provision run today. My crown tomorrow.  Have a great day!

Good morning Rick, Karl, Larry, ACLTom, Jerry, Dave, TomO, Philip and the rest of the crew that drops in later today.

Thanks for the Rick, enjoy the hike and I hope you make it to the top.

Thanks for breakfast Larry, hope the steroid shop works for Mr. B.

Karl, why does it seem like there is always 1:1 stuff that gets in the way of modeling?

ACLTom, have fun bowling today.

Jerry, enjoy your time at the beach with the grand kids.

Dave, hope the drive shafts don't give you any troubles.

TomO, enjoy the operating session today.

Philip, Try FreeCAd I find better than Cadfree.  I would stick with it as there is a very steep learning curve with these 3d Cad programs.

Currently 19c (66f) and partly cloudy here today with a lot less haze.  Managed some more time at the bench yesterday and almost got the 5th and last staging yard track installed (only have about 12 inches of one rail to spike).  I also installed temporary ground throws for the turnouts, the plan is to operate them with servos.  After that only track work left to install is the Engine storage area.  I think I need to update my build thread, hopefully I can do that tonight, unless I get distracted again.  :o

Have a great day everyone.
