Good chilled morning from Wisconsin. 43f degrees now feels like 40 and only heading to 63, but it shall be sunny.

Went to Volleyball on campus last night. Big time blow out. I'm not a fan of a major college team playing a cupcake school in any sport but the UW Badgers needed this. Coach for the 1st time in our 10th season as a ticket holder played all but 2 healthy players and they were starters!

Today is slot car day at the grandson's. 3 other grandparents and a single mom will be acting as chaperones and slot car attendants. This is the 3rd race day he and 3 friends have organized and the 1st with some scheduling issues. The 4 organizers forgot about the home Badger football game and that 7 of the 24 racers families have season tickets. That's where the grandparents come to the rescue. There will be a few kids staying until parents can pick them up. Races are scheduled to be done by 2:30. Thankfully the pool water is at 82 last night per the son in law. I did hire the 2 girls we have used for years to life guard the pool. Sophomores at UW this semester they willing and need the money again. Last year as Freshmen they were to cool to watch the pool.

No trains today.

8) Sun and barely into the 50s this morning, threat is of some rain later.  Football starts around here, no excitement from my SPARTANS and with dumping Directv I haven't been able to outsmart the TV for games or for LIONS either.  Oh well.

Little new here, did another 4' backdrop panel last evening.

Be well all, enjoy the kids, TomO.

Good morning everyone.

Cloudy with a high of 75 here in Washington north of Seattle.

ACLTom and Curt, thanks for the coffees and breakfast.

ACLTom, have fun with Bill running trains.

Curt, I guess you haven't gotten any updates on the two other kits you have on order.

Larry, that porch looks excellent.

TomO, have fun with the kids and the slot car racing.

Jerry, I hope you get some bench time soon too.

Karl, have you tried getting a digital TV antenna to try and get local TV stations that broadcast the games?
I did that in Jersey and it worked well.

Ron, I'll go check out your update next.

Greg, hope there's more sunshine abounding for you today.  ;D

Philip, glad to read about your breathing.

Mike, anything going on in GA?

I must of needed the rest because I slept much later than usual.
Treated myself to a burger, stout and porter at a brewery for lunch yesterday.
I'm parked at a casino and I think I'll stay here one more night and watch the Redskins game inside tomorrow.
I have a bunch of pictures to work and other than that don't have anything planned for today.

Have a great day everyone.

Rick

I posted a picture this morning that I had posted already.
deleted that in my post but didn't see a way to add a different picture in the edit window so posting a picture here.

Good morning folks,

Breakfast today is a western omelet with sausage, sliced tomatoes, and grits.  Juices and soft drinks are in the fridge.  Coffee is steaming hot.

TomACL, hope you aren't sore from the yard work.

Curt, safe travels to your MOH.

Larry, the new porch looks fantastic.  I don't envy you with the yard work.

Ron, glad you were able to get some bench time, even though it was with NBWs.

TomO, slot cars with the grandson sounds like fun.

Karl, glad you made it to the layout.

Jerry, hope you had fun at the bench.

Rick, I'm enjoying your fantastic photo chronicle.  Great stuff!

How is the rest of the gang?

It's a cloudy morning with a forecast of 82°F.  No rain.

Yesterday was productive on the home front.  Sharon is happy.  I did not make it to the layout, but I removed some detail castings from the UV curing machine. My alma mater won its game against Michigan, so I'm in good spirits this morning.  The Braves lost to the Mariners.  :'(

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning,

Mike thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Yes my Contractor did an awesome job on the porch and Ellie is very happy with it so that's a win, win. Hope you get some time at the bench.

What's going on today?

It's a sunny 55 with a high of 68 in New York after all day day rain event yesterday. May start on the front of the house today with clear coating the cedar shakes and maybe start off the landscaping as well. Some bench time this am should ensue.

Have an enjoyable day!!! Be well and stay safe.

My SPARTANS won.  A2 rodents, didn't.  ;D

Bought an antenna and spent the afternoon trying to wrestle a NBC station out of it to no avail.  See if I can find the LIONS this afternoon.

Little to add at the moment.

Mike the Western omelet sounds good, grits, take it to the peak of ahhh... ;D

Be well all.

Good morning Crew. Wisconsin is warming. 43 now feels like 43 heading to 64f degrees with lots of sun and calm winds. The forecast guesses have changed, warm up into the 70's tomorrow with 80's Friday.

Guys! I'll be 73 on the 28th. Watching even with 4 helpers while 24 10, 11 and 12 years olds race is tiring! Wow I was exhausted last night even though everyone had a good time. The pool from 3 to 7 with 2 college girls being the life guard watchers helped. But when I got home at 8:30 I napped in my chair till midnight and then went to bed. But I'd do it again

Soccer games in 20 minutes, 2:45 and possibly at 8. I'm going

Enjoy the day

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Mike.

Just completed my chores until MOH makes it home. She's going to the commissary on McDill AFB then pick up the 2 vacationing skunks then home. She should be home mid afternoon. When I get done with this posting I'm heading up stairs to work on the cabin car kit.

Yesterday I had a great time at Tom's. It was just Tom, Bill, and me. I ran a coal drag behind Sharks.

Larry don't over do it outside. There's always tomorrow.

Rick pretty picture. The only kit outstanding is the SW one. I'll give it another week then I'll contact Brett again.

Ron enjoy the race.

TomO it sounds like a busy day but fun.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Rick, I've been to Ross Lake Overlook a couple of times, that's a great mountain drive.  Good move on the casino.

My computer standards group had quarterly meetings, we needed a hotel that had a lot of breakout rooms.  One year we went to a hotel & casino on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe.  The meeting coordinator told us we were not invited back.  When I asked why, she said, "They complained we didn't gamble enough and ate too many desserts from the buffet.  I told them, 'It's a computer group, what did you expect?' "

Rainy here for most of the day.  We desperately need the rain.  The dogs went out during a break to do their business, one really hates rain.  More pick-up/put-away on the agenda, but I also found a package of poorly painted "worker" figures.  I repainted the clothes on a couple mostly to see how well the paint stuck.  Seems to be OK.
