Jim I can feel for you I use to get Gout all the time until I found out what caused it.

And I use to take Allopurinol for it.

Good afternoon folks,

Rick, thanks for opening and lunch.  Glad Star got to play a bit.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and lunch. Good luck at the show and with the van.

TomO, I need a rest after reading all that you are doing.  Good luck to the volleyball team.

TomACL, wishing you better sleep tonight. Thanks for the photos.

Dave, hope you sleep better tonight.  Good luck at the store.

Karl, did you make it to the layout?  Sad news about the plane.

Philip, sounds like sleepless nights are contagious.  Maybe we are catching it from the forum... ;D

Larry, hard frosts kill bugs and mosquitoes, too.  Hope you made it to the bench.

Jerry, how was bench time today?

Ron, hope you have a fantastic time at the open house.  Sounds like fun to me.

Jim, thanks for the oil well photo.  Perfect reference for me.

How's the rest of the crew?

It started at 53°F this morning and warmed to 81°F this afternoon.  It's cloudy out, and a forecast for rain on Sunday.  We need it.

I spent the day upstairs working on the stock car.  I didn't get to the oil derrick, but I hope to start this weekend.

Wishing everyone a fun weekend and lots of sleep.

1:1 took over. Had a grand daughter who helped me with a construction project. She knows how to wield a drill and screw driver like a pro. 680 with hazy sun. Perfect weather.

Headed for pizza now.

Good Morning,

Tom thanks for the coffee and breakfast; the buffet was nice change of pace. Enjoy your day with Pam. I see now why Zane's layout was so well illuminated; that's a lot of lights.

What are your plans for the day.

It's a cloudy 46 with a high of 68 in New York but supposedly no rain; so They say. Hope to make it to the bench as work continues on the Machine Shop. Besides that not quite sure yet.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Good morning ACLTom, Larry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Larry, hope you make it to the bench.

Thanks for the breakfast and coffee Tom, keep the photo's coming and enjoy your day with Pam.

Currently 8c (46f) and cloudy.  While I didn't work on the layout yesterday I did repair a couple of locomotives that are required for today's open house.  One required a speaker change and the other had some gear issues, replaced a couple of gears (they were split) and they are good to go.

I'm leaving shortly to go to a buddy's house as I promised him I would help him with hosting duties.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning, ACL Tom, Larry, Ron and later arrivals.  It's well past lunchtime in Portugal and I'm looking over the Forum.  Being a sunny Saturday, I'm considering which of the nearby RR stations to visit, so as to see what a Portuguese train looks like. Nearby beach towns were pretty busy during the week and the car we're borrowing is a little large for some of the old streets.

Good morning everyone.

Lookout, CA weather: 38 now and sunny with a high of 71 later.

ACLTom, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and have fun with Pam.

Larry, hope you make good progress at the bench.

Ron, have fun at the open house.

Karl, your granddaughter sure is handy to have around.

Mike, your stock car build is going well.

Jim, hope you slept better and gout wasn't an issue.
Thanks for the oil derrick photo.

Jerry, what's new?

Philip, hope you got some good sleep.

Curt and Dave, hope both of you got some good sleep last night.

Yesterdays visit to the Train Mountain Railroad Museum was a bust.
They stopped running trains on Wednesday for the season and all the trains were put away. :(
Before I left one person showed up with his train.

This place was huge and they have at least two miles of track and possibly more.
Here's a link to their site: https://trainmountain.org
Next time I'm in the area I'll definitely go back.

Currently in CA and headed to Reno, NV.
Quick stop at the gym before reaching Reno.

This is where I was camped for a couple of days earlier in the week.

Well, James, my neighbor leaves Monday for Lisbon.  He and his daughter are running in next week's Marathon.  (Good for them, someone has to do it...)

Back home, it's seasonable weather, but still very dry.  34 this morning, heading to a warm 63.  No Scotch Club today, the Laird is out of town.  Now that the lights are installed, I'll work on gluing the interior details into the 2nd story of the machine shop, and then start populating it.

Good afternoon,

TomACL, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Wishing you a great day with Pam.

Larry, enjoy the bench.

Ron, hope you have fun at the open house.

James, enjoy the day.  Hope you see some trains.

Rick, safe travels to Reno.  Train Mountains looks like a lot of fun.

Dave, good luck with the second-story furniture.

Philip, congrats on cleaning the shed.  Not fun, but often necessary.

Jerry, we've all felt your redo pain.  Good luck with it today.

Karl, thanks for the beautiful photo of the fall trees.

How is the rest of the crew?

It was 58°F this morning, headed to 81°F this afternoon.  It's beautiful fall weather.  I can't wait for the north Georgia trees to turn.  I hope they are as beautiful as the trees in Karl's photo.

This morning I worked on the stock-car-on-flat and started work on the oil derrick.  This afternoon is football, at least for a while.

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, english muffins, yogurt, OJ and soda.

Yesterday was a very long day not getting home until almost 10 pm. We had a good time and our baby skunk (6 months old) won several ribbons and MOH made $$ selling crafts.  My watch says I walked over 7 miles yesterday and my legs are feeling it today. After some coffee I have to unpack the vehicle, wash blankets and other things on top of regular Sunday chores. I probably won't get to the workbench until tomorrow.

Speaking of workbench, Friday I finished "planking" the 4 repair shed walls.

I don't know if I mentioned it, the brand new alternator failed on the mechanic test drive Friday afternoon, so it's still in the shop. :(

I hope everyone has a good day.
