Good morning everyone.

88 and sunny here in AZ.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.

ACLTom, I'll watch your video tonight.

Curt, good news from the bench.

Philip, very sorry you have another friend not doing well.

James, glad the shoulder is doing better.
Thanks for all the photos from the NNRR.

Dave, hope your wife gets some relief soon.

Jerry, did you make it to LBI?

Dave, those extra hours of sleep are great.

Mike, have fun building the combine.

Ron, hope you start a boxcar build thread.

Karl, hope the white stuff finally stopped.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Lots of playing with the kids yesterday.
Today I'll pull everything out of the back of the van and give it a good cleaning and reorganizing.
Lunch later with my daughter.

Good morning Larry, Curt, ACLTom, Rick and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry.

Curt, the way you are going, sounds like you will be finishing the kit soon.

ACLTom, will have to look at the video this evening.

Philip, loosing a friend is never easy, just remembers all the good times.

Rick, enjoy dinned with your daughter.

It's an overcast day with more of the white stuff in the forecast, the current temperature is -2c (29f).

No modeling yesterday as I watch the F1 race and then Football.  I've been thinking about the lack of bench time lately and I decided to do something I used to do many, many years ago.  Spend at least 15 minutes a day at the bench.  While it might not seem like much, it is amazing what can be accomplished over time.

Have a great day everyone.

Bright sun this morning  8) in Michigan, 200 with as much as 3" of snow in the area.  The wind will shift this afternoon and we're on the E edge of a bit, quite of bit for some, "lake effect" which is back in the weather vocabulary.

I picked up a couple odds and ends at the train show, a club from Northern Michigan was selling 40' PS boxcars by Accurail lettered for the COPPER RANGE RR as a fund raiser, $25.  The most costly thing I bought, cool as a part time Yooper to find.  Most sellers were in love with their stuff and hopefully for them, have plenty of room to store it when it goes back home with them.  I did pick up an Athearn pulpwood car with metal wheels and KDs for $5. The place was crowded and I'm sure the Lansing Club will be well financed for another year.  Their show guy is one of our regulars at Keeney's and it's flabbergasting the costs associated with a one day rental of 1/2 of a facility at MSU.  They even have a substantial parking fee associated with some formula based on the head count at the gate.

Laying low is high on the list for today.
  ;D

Enjoy the day all.

TomO hope Terry is feeling better.

Weather in South Jersey is cloudy/50.  Rain later today.
I did manage to get 2 hours worth of work at the bench.
Hopefully the same today and a post laterin the week.
Just not as fast as I use to be doing these machines!!

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good morning from cool Wisconsin. 24f degrees feels like 10. Might break the freezing mark by 1 degree.

Terry is fine no pain but eyes blur without warning multiple times a day. She has decided not to drive and thankfully we disagreed on the car type she wanted to buy. Thankfully again, she purchased nothing a few weeks ago

As to my plan to self fund after Medicare. I didn't mean to imply if a hospital stay was crazy expensive I'd ask for any charity care. But  since we have no assets in either of our names they are not considered yearly incomes unless we take a withdrawal from a trust. Only our SS and Terry's pension would count as income. More complicated is Terry and my financial community agreement. I responsible for my bills and she for hers. Even though Wisconsin the spouses are both responsible, we have a legal agreement that we are not. Otherwise then believe it or not I'd qualify. Pretty stupid but people do this all the time. Saw it all the times in my debt collection years. Had to explain to many a clinic business manager why an obviously well off person in the community legally couldn't be touched for non payment of medical bills

I want to finish up a small double track girder bridge for the eastern approach to the sawing bridge I've been working on. The western approach will be a Walthers double track kit, easier and quicker to build.

Enjoy your day

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is self service in a fully stocked pantry and kitchen. I suggest something warm!

HAPPY VETERANS DAY

Starting out the day with a feel like temp of 28F  :o , (of course it's supposed to be in the 80's by Thursday) and a strong wind. Needless to say I did not go outside to walk this morning.

Yesterday I colored two Foundry walls but not sure I like the results. I hope to continue on with that project today.

Kathy wanted to go out to breakfast this morning but I think it's a non-starter.

Stay warm everyone.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

HAPPY VETERANS DAY TO ALL WHO SERVED THIS GREAT NATION, AND THANK YOU.

Thanks for the breakfast Curt, I'll just have some oatmeal with honey.

37 here this morning and no white stuff. The photos from Karl made me get my coat just to read his post.  ;D As Curt said, we live in Florida for a reason. That is one!

Thanks for the well wishes for Pam, she is now up and about.

Stay safe and warm everyone.

Good morning and Happy Veterans Day to those that served. A cool start to the day at 27 now, at wake up at 5:15 it was 24 but it feels like 15. Later today with wind gusts in the high 20's it should reach 47.

A good day plus some blood yesterday at the bench. Over 8 hours was spent spread out between 9am and 10:30pm. #11 blades are sharp!

Not as much time planned at the benches today but some. A grocery run, pharmacy and then a gas fill up for our day trip Wednesday

Enjoy the day

HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY  to all who served and a BIG thank you. For those that gave the ultimate sacrifice may God bless your loved ones left behind!!!!!!

Fortunately the "mis-casters" got it wrong; instead of 3-7 inches the ground is barely covered which is a good thing. When lake effect is in play it all depends on how the wind blows which determines the amount of white crap you get. It's 25 with a high of 36 here with another 2-5 forecasted for the day; we'll see. Warming back up the rest of the week so it should all melt. Staying inside and going to start on the lathe for the Shop.

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. That's something when we're both at the same temp outside. Have fun at the bench.

Tom nice to hear Pam is doing much better and keep warm.

Tom O. hope you guys warm up soon; way too early for this nonsense. Yup hobby knives are sharp and sadly they don't know the difference between paper and skin.

What's the rest of you up too?

Have a great day!!! Be well and keep warm.

Good morning folks,

Thank you, Veterans!

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Sounds like a good day to be at the bench.

Dave, thank you for your service.

TomACL, good news that Pam is up and around.

TomO, congrats on the bench time. Indeed, #11s are sharp.

Jerry, congrats on the bench time.

Karl, glad you made a few purchases at the train show.

Ron, the bench time strategy sounds interesting.  Hope it goes well.

Rick, I guess you are on top of the world because of time with the family.

Larry, have you started a new project at the bench?

Philip, hope your visit went well.

How is the rest of the crew?

IT's a bright morning at 27F, but warming to 50F later.  The heater is finally on.  Yesterday I worked on the oil derrick base.  Today we are meeting kids for a movie.  Veterans Day special. Tonight is Masonic Lodge, so likely no time for the bench today.

Have fun,
mike

320 8) Ugly grey overcast, will stay cool and the wind pick up later.  MAY have more snow along the big pond.

Even with 100% clear all day yesterday, we still have snow on the ground.

Will be indoors much of today.  I have a couple projects in the works.

Be well all.

Thank you to all Veterans that served us so unselfishly.

You can have some of our Rochester snow. Four inches so far. Put the coffee pot on. I'll bring some right over to your driveway!
