Good morning Curt, Mike, Karl, Rick, TomO, Larry, Dave D, Dave B, Philip, ACLTom, Jerry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, will be looking forward to the next update.

Mike, Hope you make it upstairs this afternoon.

Karl, I've been thinking about learning FreeCad as I have a very funny feeling that Fusion 360 won't be free for much longer.

Rick, Have fun cleaning the van.

TomO, safe travels today and I also hope you start a thread on the scratch built paper mill thread.

Larry, good luck on the car insurance front.

Dave M, Have fun working on the machine shop.

Dave B, Philip, enjoy the day.

TomO, have fun in the train shed today.

Jerry, hope you make it to the bench today.

It's another miserable day here, overcast with white stuff/rain in the forecast all day.  Current temperature is 0c (32f).  I did make it to the workbench for my "15 minutes a day" modeling effort and managed to paint and install the queen posts on the boxcar frame.  Drilling the holes for the queen posts was a piece of cake as I had previous built a jig for that as this is my 6th boxcar/flatcar frame built to date.  Tonight's plan is to install the truss rods.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning;

I love checking in on this group, lots going on. I see Tom L has improved his river scene! Shocking! I need to get down to his place and catch up on his progress, always a fun day.

As for myself I'm about done with second cup of coffee and planning on a third. I started a build thread yesterday on my current project, making a bridge using 3D printing. I am slowly working my way to getting the AP - Stucture certificate from the NMRA. I use the AP program more to keep me moving forward then anything else and I use the build thread to catalog my progress on the AP build. Once completed I print out my postings, staple them to the judge form and I am done. I did this for the Flour Mill I made and seemed to work so I will do it again. I only need two more structures to get the certificate then it is off to making rolling stock I think. So here is a photo of the bridge I am going to make and a photo of where it is going to go on layout. The small buildings located to right are just sitting, not where they will end up.  Have a great day.

Jim
