We are home safely. Things went well. .

My wife Janet has had over 13 surgeries during our marriage.  This complication was because of fluid gathering on  her hip after the  revision (rebuild) of the original hip replacement. The fluid was drained.  The fluid was thought to be building up  pressure on the nerves nearby.  The good news is the initial observation appears it was NOT filled with white blood cells (puss) which would have indicated an infection.  Further evaluation will come after lab tests are completed,

Thank you all for your prayers. I believed they helped, and will maintain that belief all the days of my life,

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, muffins, bagels, yogurt, pastry, OJ, and soda.

Have shorts on for the first time in several days. ;D MOH asked me why I was up early this morning and I replied "I'm excited about putting up Christmas decorations" yeah right. :-\

Yesterday I glued 3 of the 4 walls together with 5 min epoxy which wasn't 5 minutes drying time. It's been clamped since about 10 am yesterday. I'll glue the last wall in place after the decorations.

Dave great news about Janet and I hope she quickly improves.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt.

Dave, you probably do need to get some sleep.

The Judge is coming over this morning to run trains and BS.

Yesterday I worked on the BTs barn kit and installed a new WOW decoder in a brass loco. We'll make all the adjustments this morning.

Have a safe and happy Saturday everyone.

Good morning everyone.

Rain predicted for this afternoon with a high of 74 here in AZ.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Seems like only yesterday that you posted taking the xmas decorations down.

ACLTom, I saw your barn update and it's looking good.
Have fun with the BS'ing.

Dave, great news about no infection.
Rest for you and a speedy recovery for your wife.

How's everyone else doing and what's planned for today?

Drove back into town and made a quick stop at W-Mart before heading to the boyfriends house.
Did laundry and not much else.
If it's not raining I'd like to clean the inside front half of the van.

This was from a hike in North Cascades NP.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning from a Cloud called Saint. I'm not a party animal but we do like to go out, especially after a hockey game that ended around 8:15pm. St. Cloud, Mn is dead on a Friday night. The 3 places we stopped for a brew and a sandwich shut down at 8. We could have hit a dive near campus but passed on the one place as the website review said if your over 25 don't bother. I needed something for my medicines last night so across the street from the hotel was a McDonalds. Terry had a wrap, I had a regular burger and we got out of there. We don't stay in the same hotels the team does and Coach has told us in the past we should. We will in the future as we hit the smaller schools in the conference. Staying and visiting, Minneapolis, Columbus and Bloomington are great busy open cities. Mankato, St. Cloud and a few others roll the sidewalks up too early for even Terry and me

The weather at 6:36 CST is very unseasonal at 50f degrees down from 54 at 5:30 wake up. Heading to the 30's this afternoon.

The hockey game was a win! 5-1 just a workmen type of game. The Badgers came to win and with 4 lines of unrelenting talent and 3 excellent defensive pairings with last season's #1 national goalie just out classed StCloud State. Goals can come from just about any of the Badgers because the talent is so deep. St Cloud St really has to work for there chances. Another outstanding game against the Badgers from an opposing goalie really kept the Badger score down.

I was asked in a text from a friend on another forum, don't you guys get enough hockey for you to travel 5 hours seems silly. Well, yes it may seem silly but, We like hockey! The schedule for the grandson's team was wrong and the daughter didn't let Terry know. She did send the update after we made plans to come here. Terry is a UW $$$$ booster of Women's sports, not just Hockey and Volleyball. So we go to supports teams of UW even though only the daughter went here and graduated. Terry and I are both Marquette grads but support the UW. Coach and his wife have become very good friends over the past 9 years and we have traveled together in the Coach's off season. Oh yeah, the team is very good! 4 NCAA National titles in the last 7 seasons and 8 since 2006.

Free breakfast now but it's a pass, lunch b4 the 2pm game at one of the closed places last night. The desk person when I asked last night when we came in mentioned all 3 places that were closed last night as must eat at places. She did say most restaurants in St Cloud close early if there's no business.I hope she's right about the food

Enjoy the day

Morning Gents,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Have fun with the decorations. I hate 5 min epoxy and avoid it at all costs.

Dave hope the Mrs. is doing well this morning.

Tom have fun running trains and as always the BS'ing.

Rick enjoy the nice AZ. weather and easy on the chores. Nice photo website you have; hope it does well.

Tom O you sound like my Daughter; she loves hockey and has seen the Capitals play at least once.

What's your plans for the day?

It's a sunny but frosty 28 with a high of 46 in New York. Never made it to the bench yesterday as I became distracted. It was a fairly nice day yesterday so I actually put up the Christmas lights on the new porch and hedges which was a 2 hour process trying to figure out the best way to accomplish what I wanted; used 5 strings of lights. Maybe today I'll make it to the bench for a bit. A few days ago we received word that Ellie's Brother had a stroke and was rushed to a Medical Center in Tucson, Az.; he's 80. Last night he was transferred to a Rehab Center so hopefully he can bounce back from this.He does have some close friends out there that help out so that's good.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Enjoy the decorating.  ;D

Dave, enjoy your nap.

TomACL, wishing you a fun SBG day.

Rick, that looks like an amazing hike.

TomO, hope you enjoy the hockey games.

Larry, good news that Ellie's Brother is going to rehab.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning at 47°F, headed to 76°F.  I didn't make it upstairs yesterday.  I had a long appointment with my recliner. Maybe this morning.  Football this afternoon.

Have fun,

Great day yesterday in the 60s with a beautimous sunset.

IMG_2897.jpeg

I cleaned up leaves and worked outside in the afternoon after setting up a 3D print to run. 3rd times the charm with that. Making some progress with that endeavor.  :D

It's fire arms deer hunting day one, a holy-day in Michigan. No shots heard yet, this guy was around much of the night

They have a safe haven here.

Michigan State Hockey is going great, unlike our now infamous football team just given several forfeited games and a couple years probation for violating rules under the last jackoff a$$ coach they fired. I think he's lost his $90mil lawsuit for early termination.

Grey today, cooler and windy is the forecast.

Be well all.

Dave #5, great news!   A friend was in the hospital for an infection in her replaced hip, she's home but still not very mobile.  Wife has to take antibiotics every time she goes to the dentist to help prevent that in her knee.

Sunny and a bit chilly in SE NH.  Chance of rain tonight, we're always looking for rain these days.  But it should start late evening, allowing Scotch Club to happen.  A neighbor in the Scotch Club list posted a video of a bobcat walking past his door camera.

More work on the Machine Shop walls today, I'll start to install windows & doors.
