Rick

I've seen him posting on FB recently so I assume he's ok. I'll try messaging him.

Hi guys from Wisconsin. Thought I posted the other day, I Was not purposely trying to avoid being here.

I'm good, Terry's good and Wisconsin's weather sucks! Terry's eyes the doctors have been practicing on and seem much better. No invasive surgery required. I just got home from a 6 hour work session and I am tired and sore. Most of the soreness is due to 1st shoveling 3"+ of thee white Gifts from Above, working on the snowblower Saturday afternoon and then using it Saturday nightbon another good 8" of the WGFA. Sunday Imwaited for the city plows to deposit a good 18" on the apron to my driveway. I liven on the corner and/we get this every time the plows come through. My snow guy the last couple years told me in October had a full time job and closed his 2 businesses down. On Friday his replacement texted that he broke his leg on Thanksgiving and could not clear snow, so I did it. Before the work session this morning I cleaned up not quite 1" of the 3" the guessers had predicted. We went from zero snow on the ground to offically 12" but in some locales up to. 18". I'd say here closer to 15".

Badger Women, gosh since 11/21!

The hockey team has won 4 games and still #1. They play #2 Ohio State University in Colombus this weekend. We couldn't get tickets.

Volleyball has won 4 and is #9 nationally but are the 3rd seed in the NCAA VB tournament that starts on Thursday with the 1s and 2nd round games at home. They should win the next 2 but then it gets interesting in Austin, Texas if they advance this weekend.

The grandson since 11/21 has played a few hockey games but lost 3 games to cancellation this past weekend. Broke a stick and 1 new stick cost me a sound equipped diesel at $278 after a 12% discount. He no longer can use the "junior" stick because he is bigger but really much stronger and moved up to elite sticks! It's a racket. We got home from the rink and I ordered 2 more of the EXACT sticks online for a total of $298 shipped! He will get them as Xmas presents. He generally breaks 2-3 sticks during the Winter season games.

Still working on the swing bridge scene for a friend's layout. I offically started the false front facades for the same friend's paper mill. Just under 12' of structures. Now to go back and catch up to what I missed

I'll be back more often

Good evening, all. The storm continues over the lower Merrimack Valley; we got maybe 3" of snow through midday, but it's been rain, sleet and intermediate points since then. Luckily the kid got home one airport bus ahead of schedule, no thanks to PA for not plowing I-78 until mid-morning.  Tom, my condolences for your cousin.

My tooth demolition site is healing and I started relocating my wife's latest structure (which I should've done as soon as I knew it didn't fit where I first planned). More on that tomorrow, when I have sneet to scrape and bills to pay but don't plan to go much of anywhere.

Good Morning,

All the usual morning beverages are ready and waiting. Breakfast will be chicken & waffles with Vermont Maple Syrup; something a little different this morning.

Tom my condolences to you for the loss of your cousin.

What's your plans for the day.

It's a clear but cold 16 with a high of 36 in New York. The furnace has been running frequently this am; too darn cold already. Got my tire back from the garage so that'll be going back on and moving the white crap will be after lunch and hopefully it'll be a little warmer out. Later this week we're going to be in the single digits overnight...brrr. Maybe put up the tree this morning and hopefully some bench time sometime today.

Have a great day!! Be well and keep warm.

Good morning, Larry and later arrivals. The sun is rising into a clear sky over the NH seacoast, temperature heading from maybe 31 to 36 forecast later. Just came in from shoveling our short barn cellar driveway in my bathrobe (plus gloves, boots & woolly cap with earlaps). That gets the kid to HS and Nid to her morning class. After breakfast I'll mail the bills, then finish the long driveway with the tractor before Nid gets back.

Good morning folks,

Larry, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Tis the season, enjoy.

James, a man's work is never done. Stay warm!

Tom, please accept my condolences for your Cousin.

Curt, get well soon.

TomO, good to hear Terry's eyes are better.

How are the rest of the crew?

It's overcast and cold, with temperatures ranging from 33°F to 49°F—no rain in the forecast.  Today, I should be able to head upstairs to work on the oil derrick.  That's after I bring in all the Christmas decorations from the garage for Sharon to sort.  I may put the tree up, too. We gave our big eight-foot tree away and bought a small one. After two downsizing moves, we still have too much stuff.

Have fun,
mike
My current build is the Oil Derrick and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Morning all! thanks for the coffee Larry.

My condolences Tom.

Ventured out yesterday after doing a bit of shoveling. Of course the city truck was making waves of snow...
A mear 5" according to the official boss lady.

Oliver and Indy cats are piled up inside, weather was 19 last night.
I'm piled up with them. Very cold out.

Later!

Grey and cold with a chance of more snow here in Michigan this morning, temps in 20s.

ACLTom, sorry about your cousin.

Michigan State introduced their new miracle man football coach and also strongly defeated the Iowa team in hoops.  Latest gimick there for more $$ is a Billion Dollar fund raising project, for more sports facilities.  Be nice if they raised and invested that kind of dough for education or medical research.  Makes me sad, just I'm just old and out of touch.   :-\

Rx trip to Capital City may be on for this morning.   ???

That's enuf from me.  Be well, stay warm.

TomO good to see you.

Good morning everyone.

43 now but will only go up to 55 later and it will be windy.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
I think I saw you have an update and I'll need to go check it out.

Philip, stay warm.

Mike, have fun upstairs and with the Christmas decorations.

James, any pictures of your shoveling attire?  :)

TomO, good to hear from you.
Very glad Terry and you are doing well.

Jerry, I hate to ask, bench?

ACLTom, my condolences to you and your family on the loss of your cousin.

Ron, any photos from the meet?

Dave, glad the dog is feeling better.

Hope the rest of the crew is well.

Lazy day for me yesterday.
I was shocked yesterday when I read that an 8 year old had brought a loaded hand gun to the school where my youngest granddaughter attends.
Fortunately the principle found out about it before the gun could be used and no one was hurt.
A little too close for comfort.
Star and I will do another hike today.

From my campsite while visiting Yosemite.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning Karl.
I agree with you on how the money gets spent.

Good morning Larry, James, Philip, Karl, Rick and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry, have fun putting up the tree.

James " shoveling our short barn cellar driveway in my bathrobe", are you sure you are not Canadian?  ;D

Philip, stay warm.

Karl, drive safe and I agree about the lack of fund raising for education and medical research..

Rick, that is a little too close for comfort, enjoy your hike

Current temperature is -6c (21f) and mostly cloudy.  It is supposed to dip to -16c (3f) tonight.  No modeling last night as there were other thinks that needed to get done like de-ice the driveway and clean up a mess the dog made.  We shall see what tonight brings.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Larry.

Thank you all for the condolences for my cousin Geary. At least he is no longer suffering. Six years is a long time to fight cancer not to mention colon cancer. To his credit, he never once complained. He was always very positive.

Pam's feeling much better as she is now kind of bossy about where the Christmas stuff goes.

I have a load of stuff/donations to take to the thrift store. The proceeds go to the Good Samaritan Group. I take a tax deduction.

Have a safe and healthy day and stay warm my northern friends.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Larry.

I feel a little better today but still not at normal yet. I've completed today's chores and getting ready to head to the workbench to paint and weather 2 concrete freight docks.

Nothing else happening.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning Crew.

Tom sorry to read about your cousin

Karl, you are not old and out of touch. Sports being a priority is one of the many things terribly wrong in the USA right now. One of our daughter's good friends is an Assistant AD at UW. There are over 150 management staff not including interns or full time clerical on the University website for the athletic department. I think hiring Fitzgerald for football is a good move for MSU. Thanks, it's good to be here!

Today I plan to weather the bridges. 2 girder approach bridges and the Swing Bridge. The span is 38". Them we shall see

Enjoy the day
TomO

Jerry

Morning everyone

Larry thanks for the coffee & breakfast.

James nice outfit to shovel snow in!!

I agree with you on how they spend money Karl.

Rick glad they got the kid with the gun before someone got hurt.
It's a strange world we live in.

Ron it's going to be a hell of a race for the championship in F1.

Tom glad to hear Pam is doing better.

Curt glad your feeling better.

TomO glad to see you back.

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/36.  RF/43.
Well thing did not go as expected at the bench yesterday.
Seems I made some serious mistakes in measuring things.
So it's a real make again for the 3rd time.  I should start knitting or something easier!!

Everyone have a great day!!  :)
