Good Morning All,

Looks like a late start for everyone.

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 70F and humid. Heading to 82F later and thunderstorms projected for later. Yesterday was a slow day. In the train room I built the 2 stairs landings. I had to redo the first one's top surface because I trimmed it to much.

After chores I'll continue to work on them.

Mike wouldn't a stiff metal brush do the same thing?

Rick nice video and it's always great to see the Star of the show. ;)

Thanks for the support yesterday. I just felt overwhelmed for awhile.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

53 in Rimrock, cloudy and 81 later.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Got lucky when we took the keys from both my parents.
They both knew they weren't safe to drive any longer.
Hope your dad is OK.

Mike, that's a fearsome looking tool that should do the right amount of damage to a piece of wood.

Jim, nice to see you here and hope the basketball results went your way.

Ron, next time Quebec maple syrup will be on the counter.  ;)

Jerry, I'm sure you enjoyed dinner with the family.

Philip, you've been finding some outstanding nuggets from the old forum.
Thanks for doing that.

ACLTom, have fun plant shopping.

Dave, that's a pretty winter scene.

Karl, I like the suggestion to start a layout thread.

Larry, hope that was the last of the white stuff.

Star and I did 5 miles on the Butcher Jones Trail yesterday morning.
The trail was very pretty and goes along the Saguaro Lake for the most part.
Started just as the sun was coming up and got some nice colors on the clouds.
After a couple of errands I headed north and stopped once more in a spot I've been to before in Rimrock.
That's the place not very far from Sedona.
I stopped here mostly because there's a hike I wanted to do here but didn't because I had to leave and go and get the kidney x-ray.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Have fun with your build.

Rick great photo!! Glad you and Star are getting in some quality hiking; safe travels to your next destination. I wish the sn*w would stop also.

How's the rest of the crew doing.

It's 29 with a high of 43 so that should melt what little it of white crap that's on the ground. Hope to get in some modeling today then the NCAA selection show tonight. Now that the Head coach has been fired maybe the Assistant Coach will take the guys to the NITs for a change.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. Hope dad is doing better.

Mike, that's a cool tool. I've found a Zona saw or brass brush works for me.

Good to see Jim stop by when he and the Boss aren't traveling.

Dave, love the picture of your neighbor's house, wouldn't live there though. To much a southern boy.

Rick, nice video and glad you are getting in some good hikes.

We had a great time at the party yesterday. Mo's family was very nice and they catered the party. He was very surprised. The family brought in members Mo hadn't seen in 10+ years.

No plant shopping today, we are both to tired for that.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

There's a story about a WWII American soldier visiting Rome.  He looked at the Colosseum and said "blankety-blank Krauts have been here, too!"

My boxcar kit is almost done, I just have to add the corner irons and then paint it.  For some reason, my enthusiasm for this dragged a bit.

Good morning Curt, Rick, Larry, ACLTom, Dave and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt.  The tool that Mike showed is very aggressive.  I don't use mine to grain wood but it work great for distressing wood, making frayed end boards etc.

Rick, great video and you couldn't have picked a better "Star" to star in the video.

Larry, Have fun at the bench.

Tom, glad the surprise party foe Mo was well attended and everyone had a great time.

Dave, good luck finishing the boxcar kit.

Current temperature is -7c (19f) and hazy with a light dusting of the white stuff today.  Tomorrow it's supposed to hit 13c (55f).  :o

I watched the F1 sprint race and qualifying yesterday and so far Mercedes is dominating the season.  I'll watch the race later today.  I also made it to the bench and finished weathering the corrugated roof and weathered the shake shingle roof.  Today's plan is to install the shingle shake roof, then I can call the building done.

Have a great day everyone.

Sun at the moment in MI, was just out and it's really windy, we're under a WARNing for that.  In the next 24-36 we expect, 60, thru 25 in the temps and Rain, Ice, Snow and lots of wind in the weather.  THE Bridge is invisible on their cam again this morning, the weather for the Eastern half of the UP still has FEET in the forecast and winds in the double digits gusting to double digitsx2.

Our geek squad crew is coming over, the Doll just scorched a batch of Toll House cookies for Poppa Geek.  :-\

Glad the surprise went off, Tom.  Ex planned one for my 40th.  I stopped by Central Dispatch one evening and one of the dispatchers asked me how my birthday party was...two weeks before hand.  Managed another Academy Award nomination when it happened.

Division meet was nice, saw one fellow I'd not seen since before the chinese flu when we watched him doze off during one of the Zoom meetings, live and in color!  ;D  I took the rechargable soldering iron for 'show and tell' and I think I sold at least one.  Our DCC guru lit up like a kid with a new Lionel under the Christmas tree when he saw it, he'll have one, if not already.  Clinic on Bad Lands Pine trees was interesting and well prepared.

All I got.  No hoops for me, not sure on the motorsports today.  Spend too much time on here and I get, "The EYE"

If I start a thread, how do I find it in a couple days or weeks if I've been absent?  My biggest issue with this place's format is finding new content that was posted  after a day or two.
