Looks like a beautiful day ahead. Karl that is just terrible!

Hope you get thing sorted out Larry.

Have a great day gang!

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Philip. Wow, two days in a row. I have lots of strawberries to contribute from the local strawberry festival. ;)

I actually slept in a bit this morning. Today I have some routine pool maintenance then I'll get started painting on the cookhouse stone walls. I googled pictures of stone walls yesterday.

Not much else happening this way.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Gents,

Philip thanks for the coffee and breakfast. I was able to get things sort of sorted out yesterday; I did manage to get our taxes squared away so that was a plus.

Curt good luck with the pool and have fun with you build.

What's on your plate for the day.

It's a sunny 48 with a high of 65. Yesterday it actually hit 70; not bad for 3/9. We've been having issues with our internet dropping every so often. Called yesterday so I'm off to the Cable Store for a new modem and router; the ones we have are old models. Then between 1200 and 1300 I have a Tech coming to go over our whole system to make sure it's up to snuff. I did manage a wee bit of bench time yesterday but not sure about today.

Have a great day!! Be well.

We have a bit of history with this site.  You'll notice the castle under construction in the background.  The first time we visited here, 1988, they were just starting the restoration of the castle.  It's a project being done by the local trade school.  So it was really great to go back almost 25 years later to see how much has been done.   You can see the new work in lighter stone.  (They had to rebuild from the middle out, so there's a lot more progress on the inside.)

Weather here is spring, heading to 72 (although that's less than they promised earlier in the week.)  I'll open the house to let it air out.  "Burping the house", apparently the Germans call it.

The farm animals have been painted, so I'll go back to the boxcar kit.

Good morning everyone.

Currently 48 in Scottsdale, 66 later with a mix of sun and clouds.

Philip, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Enjoy your beautiful day.

Curt, thanks for the strawberries and glad you got some sleep.

Mike, I hope the bike and car show does well for such a worthy cause.

Jerry, do you know what caused the power to go out?

Larry, good luck with the new router and hope you can get on the SS page.

Karl, thanks for the pictures.
It's crazy how much damage those tornados do.
I drove through a neighborhood about 2 years ago right after a tornado went through and seeing the destruction in person was shocking.

Bernd, good morning.

Ron, FIA is already talking about rule changes.

Dave, Hong Kong must be an amazing place to visit.

ACLTom, thanks for clearing up the story.

How's everyone else doing?

Star and I hiked 10.9 miles with 1,804' of EG gain on the Cave Creek Loop Trail.
Very pretty scenery the whole way.
I'll stay here at the trailhead today and take it easy before heading to my next hike.

Star got excited yesterday when two men with three horses passed us yesterday on the trail.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Philip.

I never made it to the train shed yesterday. The alarm guys were here yesterday. My house is 76 years old and my alarm system was 35 years old. The new alarm system is now all wi-fi with door cameras and exterior cameras.

We have bowling today. I haven't been cleared to bowl yet and I certainly don't want these sutures to fail with my bowling. I'll go watch.

My debt card got a fraud alert so I'll need to get a new one this morning. The card was cancelled and all charges blocked.

Lets see what this day brings my way.

Have a safe, fraud free day everyone.

Good morning Philip, Curt, Larry, Dave, Rick, ACLTom and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Philip, enjoy your day.

Curt, have fun painting the stone walls.

Larry, hope you get your internet issues resolved today.

Dave, have fun working on the boxcar kit and thanks for the travelogue, I'm really enjoying them.

Rick, I'm not surprised about possible rule changes as there were a lot of changes this season, maybe too many changes for 1 season.

Tom, hope your team does well at bowling today, debit card fraud is never fun.

Karl, that is quite the path of destruction.  When I was working in Kentucky, a tornado passed through the worksite tearing the siding off the backside of the building, that was an experience I don't want to go through again.

Current temperature is 6c (43f) and blue skies.  Going to enjoy this as long as it lasts as they are calling for more white stuff during the week.

Have a great day everyone.

Philip thanks for the coffee & breakfast.

Curt thanks for the strawberries.
Looking forward to your update.

Larry I hope they get you all set up.

Dave nice picture this morning.

Rick Star looked confused maybe she thought they were big dogs!!  ;D
No they didn't say why it went out but there working somewhere on the grid and tomorrow the same thing.

Tom sorry about your CC it sure is a PITA when it happens.

Ron I can't watch F1 this year as there on Apple.
And I'm not going to get another add on for TV.
I'll read about them.

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/52.  Later on 75.
We have a few things to do today.
Then later some bunch time.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Good morning folks,

Philip, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.

Curt, good luck with pool maintenance.

Larry, good luck with the Internet improvement.

Dave, have fun with the boxcar kit.

Rick, I bet Star wanted to go with the horses.

Tom, congrats on the new alarm system.  It's amazing how we get so many fraud alerts these days.  How do they do that?

Ron, hope the better weather stays longer than forecast.

Jerry, glad you are getting some bench time.

How goes the rest of the crew?

It's a cloudy morning after a night of ferocious thunderstorms and rain.  It's 63°F now, headed to 80°F later today.

Yesterday was busy.  The eye doc said it's time for cataract surgery, so that is coming soon. The plumber will be here to fix a hot water recirculation system problem this afternoon, then I have a lodge meeting tonight.  I hope to get some time at the bench at some point.

Have fun,
mike

60o with fog this morning in Michigan as we prepare for another round of Severe storms late today and throughout the night. The a plunge to cool off with Snow back in the forecast for the weekend.

I'm going for a haircut and beard trim after the morning SSS routine  ::) Its been weeks, looking like a vagrant...

Back to the layout later. Making progress but need to pull back to the trestle project.

That's it here. Be well all.

Good morning folks,

Coffee, soft drinks, and breakfast are on the counter.  Today we have a fiesta omelet stuffed with chorizo, onions, tomatoes, and jalapenos (mild ones).  Help yourself.

Karl, thanks for the photo.  Hope the trim went well.

It's 62°F this morning, headed to 82°F later. I'm up early to attend a community breakfast, which is my first since moving here.  Tonight I have lodge, but I hope to continue with planting details around the depot today.

Have fun,
mike

Larry C

Good Morning,

Mike thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Enjoy the community breakfast and hope you get to meet some nice folks. Have fun at the bench.

What's on your agenda.

It's a foggy 44 with a high of 68; supposed to get thunder boomers with rain later. Picked up my new modem and router yesterday and had a Tech come out to check and tweak everything plus a lineman came out later and changed the taps so the 3 houses now each have our own taps. Now when I download a photo from my email it loads in a second; much better. Brett shipped my detail parts so hopefully they'll arrive by weeks end.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Good morning everyone.

It's 49 in Scottsdale now, 75 and sunny later.

Mike, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Enjoy the community breakfast.

Karl, thanks for the picture.

Jerry, it was nice seeing your update photo.

Ron, enjoy the nicer weather and maybe they're wrong about the white stuff.

ACLTom, sorry about the debit card BS and hope your team bowled well.

Dave, nice photos and it's good to know some young folks are learning a valuable trade.

How's everyone doing?

We had some surprise visitors yesterday.
6 horses from a ranch down the road stopped by.
At one point they surrounded the van and that got Star all excited.
Later after they moved away some I took Star out with her on leash so I could keep her a safe distance away.
But they were friendly and curious and came right up next to me while I was walking.
This made Star uncomfortable so I took her back to the van.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Mike. Enjoy the community get together and lodge tonight.

Started out the day with a walk at 71F and heading to 90F today. The first of normally 100+ days of it a year.

Yesterday I painted the 3 stone walls in 4 different shades of gray and tried out a new product for me from Army Painter with good results.

Today is Wednesday so it's floor day. :-\. MOH has to pickup the skunk that was vacationing with us earlier. He'll be here until his big boy vet appointment.

Rick I imagined in the photo that Star was looking at you to say Please Dad can I go play?

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning crew!

Thanks for breakfast Mike! Interesting ingredients this am.

Looks like spring with storms likely later.

I bet Star was freaking out around the giants? Be safe out there.

Gena's power steering pump is growling, but no leaks. I put seafoam quick action trans tune in it after draining part of the fluid. Steering was hard turning to the left. It may be the rack and pump worn out. The seafoam helped but hasn't cured it. Oh fun, this is one for a shop. Just maybe it's loosened up deposits overnight.

Have a great day.
