Jeff
Jeff,

I wasn't going to either but decided to try it. I got some very nice detail stuff,  which I'll share in the coming week.

Thanks for stopping by.

Butty Curt,

Thank you, much appreciate the comment. This structure was perfect for the wainscoting detail.

Thanks very much. I think it changes the entire look of the tower.

Ruh-Roh, snit happens!

I grabbed the tower side and snap.

Glued it back together and added a short piece of 4X4 to support the break.

Since I started the build, I was undecided as to what color or colors I was going to use. At first, I was going to make it an all white tower including windows, doors and trim.

The official colors of the Atlantic and Southern RR are White and Green. White on the walls and green for windows, doors and trim.

I decided to go with the green windows, doors and some of the trim.

I painted the windows with Floquil Weyerhauser Green.

Since I painted the interior walls with a light green, I couldn't very well leave the back side of the windows white.

I used the same wall green and painted the interior side of the windows.

The window on the right is painted the wall color. Painting the interior side only made sense.

Here is how the green looks on the tower. The window is not glued at this time.

Here is an interior view of the windows.

Howdy Tom,

The two towers are coming along nicely.  Nice save on the broken wall.  The windows look terrific.

Continue to have fun,
mike
My current builds are a Post Office. and miscellaneous rolling stock

This tower had no air conditioning. I installed screens so the bugs won't come in when the windows are open.

Interior view of the screens.

I added 1X4s to the four center posts and will add 1X2's to the sides.

Tom, nice seeing you back at it.
I like your color choices.

Hi Tom;

Sorry for taking so long to pop in and catch up. I always love following your builds and this one is no exception. I picked up on the various color schemes the Atlantic Coast Line used for their stations. The Lady Lake station (now museum) recently reworked its paint scheme to the old white with light purple trim. It looks good. I also want to say I love the screens! Nice touch.

Very nice color choice for those windows.
And a nice fix on the broken piece.

I think the inside window color is perfect with the wainscoting.
