It's time for another index update, when you have time. I'd like to take another look at those rocks under the Winkie building...

Randy

The index on page 1 is always up-to-date. I copy the index every 10 pages just for easy reference.  Also, as per your request, here is a picture of the rocks under Winkie's.

I will start in the back of this area - this first structure is famous for the sign George added to the side.  The building is called
Dixon's.

To the left of Dixon's is Bertha's Bar & Grill.

This picture was added on 06/21/15 and was sent to us by Mark Dalrymple.

The third structure in this row is the Hammerbaum Boot Corp.

Centered in front of the previous three structures is the Fox Run Milling Company - George's Kit number 295.

In the middle of this area - barely visible from this angle is the original Duffy's Coal building.  George has a complete Duffy's coal kit which is renamed placed in another location on the layout. A story for another day.

Since it's the start of the new year here are a few statistics about this thread for us to reflect back on at the beginning of next year.  To-date we have 400 pictures of 49 individual structures. The thread is 20 pages long.  Percent complete unknown.  The thread was started on Sept. 11th, 2014 and we have had 10,137 views in the first three plus months.

OOps...I had forgotten that it was updated on the first page...thanks

John, I just went through the entire thread again and I really thank you for the time and effort you have put into this thread. It's one of my top research tools. I was looking for an example on how a sign could be mounted to the top of a steeply peaked roof. I didn't find any so I think I will do an alternate plan and go with two signs- one on each side of the roof, so that I can have adequate bracing. Really hoping to see the George and his layout again, but it will be tough to justify a few days on the road waiting for the Expo to happen.

More great pictures, John!

I don't believe I have ever seen close up shots of the White & Bagley Co. or Bernstein's Fish Grotto.  What a great scene!  Its super cool the way the closer in you get the more there is to see.  Loving it!

Cheers, Mark.

Thanks Mike - I'm enjoying the review as I go through the pictures again preparing them for the thread.  I will be looking for an example of the signs your looking for as I go through the pictures again tonight.  This thread is intended to be a builders reference - let me know if you have any suggestions on improving it.

God gave George some very special talents, and I thank him very allowing me to share these pictures.  I know I'm learning from them.
