Morning all,

No time for breakfast. I'll leave it up to another.

We got home and Emee's right eye was swollen shut. We got her to the emergency vet and they found she scratched her right cornea. We have meds now and she is in a doggie neck cone. She is not very happy either. Pam is a mess and worried all night. We have eye drops I put in every 4 hours except at night. And, so it goes.

I did find some diamonds in the rough at the flea market. I'll share those photos in the next few days.

Have a great Sunday everyone.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

In the 70's heading to 90F again today. There were afternoon storms all around us yesterday but we only got about 90 sec of rain. Yesterday was all about outside. While SIL fixed the pool ;D, I did the yard jobs  that needed done, drafting son at the end to help carry wood and lawn bags to the street. The gutters still need cleaned in the next couple of weeks but that's mainly son's job.

Today is pool day. It should only take about an hour for the routine stuff that needs done after the pool not running. Then inside chores. Hopefully I'll get to the workbench today. If not then, then definitely tomorrow.

Good morning everyone.

It will be 74 in Sioux Falls today, but there are dire warnings of severe thunderstorms and even a chance of tornados late in the afternoon.

I see Curt is here and I'll assume he's preparing breakfast.
I will however plug the coffee urn in just in case I'm wrong.

ACLTom, sorry about Emee and hope she recovers quickly.
I know you have much experience with eye drops and I can't wait what those flea market finds might be.

Dave, that is a beautiful house but a bit out of my price range.

Jerry, have fun with the kids.

Jim, have fun with the printing.

Ron, hope there's more sunshine today.

Larry, as far as I'm concerned, the PO can't be replaced with a private concern soon enough.

Karl and Curt, based on what I was told when I got Star she's about 7 1/2.
She looks older because she's turning gray prematurely just like her owner.
But rest assured she is still full of vim and vigor with no signs of old age.

How's everyone else?

Went to the Farmers Market at Sioux Falls yesterday.
Picked up eggs fresh from the farm, cheese curds and a jar of almond butter with chocolate.
Still no mail.
Last update I got this morning shows it back at the Sioux Falls distribution station where it already was on Thursday.
Might move a little west to try and avoid the worst of the storms.

Falls Park yesterday.
That's the Queen Bee Mill turbine house in the background.
Behind that is what's left of the grain mill.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning,

TomACL, Thanks for opening.  Hope Emee's eye heals quickly.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Enjoy the pool day.

Rick, Star is looking good with all the exercise she gets.  Enjoy the Dakotas.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning, headed to 87°F this afternoon.  Yesterday I worked outside while smoking the ribs. This afternoon I'll be watching baseball with Sharon.

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning,

Tom sorry to hear about Emee's eye; I'm sure the meds will help. Having a pet is almost like having a child; been there...done that.

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Sounds like a busy day ahead; pace yourself.

Rick nice photo. I'm right there with you on the USPS; hope you get your mail soon. That's a plus to being mobile....you can relocate when the weather gets bad; stay safe.

Mike enjoy the game and the ribs.

How's everyone else doing.

It's a sunny 62 with a high of 79. Finished raking off the area on the side of the driveway then emptied out the 3 half whiskey barrel planters and used that soil on top of the fill so grass would grow. I bought inserts for the planters so the amount of soil needed for planting will be a lot less. As nice as it looks outside I think today will be a rest day and maybe some bench time as well.

Have a safe and enjoyable day!! Be well.

Tom, your post reminded me I have to start new eyedrops today for Tuesday's cataract surgery. Have I mentioned I hate eye drops?

Weather here is great.  Bright blue skies and sunshine.  Should reach low 80s, but cooling off at night.  I did change the thermostat to summer mode for the next couple of days.

After futzing with my LED light strips and the wiring, I decided the wire gauge I was using to connect them was too small, so I've ordered thicker wire that should arrive today.  Fortunately, nothing's installed, so it'll be easy to replace the wires.

But in the meantime, I'll probably do more pick-up/put-away.  I have about 4 projects I've started, and things are getting out of control.

Good Morning;

A lot going on this morning  with folks seems. As for Deb and me we are just enjoying a nice slow Sunday. Tom good luck with the little one hope the eye drops help. Rick, keep an eye out on that weather, while you might be mobile I know you don't want to be anywhere near one of those western tornados.

We might get rain later but I am not counting on it. Might just enjoy the pool today and watch the golf finals. Yesterday Deb and I watched the Preakness and even placed an on-line bet. Our knowledge of horse racing is vast? We bet on the gray horses or the name of the horse. Yesterday it was both so we won a little over $50 bucks! Go Napoleon Solo!

Todays picture is a photo of pickle freight cars being made at turn of the last century.  Hope everyone enjoys today.

Good Sunday morning from dreary Wisconsin. After a few days of gorgeous weather, today sucks. A mist instead of the heavy rains predicted and no sun. High gets to maybe 64 after 70's and 80's the past week.

My legs and overall body pain has lessened, not gone but it's heading in the right direction. My wife's niece is the Clinical Pharmacy Director at a Medical system about 40 miles south of us. She reviewed my meds independently from my own medical team and when I take them. She called Friday night and asked when I take my Mounjaro and told her Saturday at wake-up. Then she asked where I inject and I told her I alternate between legs. She said stop that and inject in the stomach or arm. So yesterday I tried the stomach. Today I still have pain but much less and I've taken no ibuprofen. That's a good sign. She said tell your medical team what you did and the pain may lessen daily and be gone in a couple weeks. I can hope...

I grilled last night and was able to finish just as the propane indicator hit zero! Monday's adventure is a trip to HomeDeports for the cheapest propane by far in the county.

I spent a few hours at the paint booth yesterday. Yes, hours! I did the 1st spray of matte clear to start the weathering process on 3 intermodal trains of 25 cars each. A friend brought them over during the week along with a 6 pack of xf86 flat clear mini bottles by Tamiya and 4 colors. I did not charge him for some recent weathering so he thought he'd give me these. That's was cool...

I also primed a few walls for the back drop facades of a paper mill for another friend. A few other structural parts were painted and everything is curing until probably Tuesday.

I did finish checking the SVG files for the bleach plant for the paper mill I designed for myself. It's 12" wide x 42" long and rises to 10" in tiers of 7"/3". There are 5 bleaching towers (rise to 13") and lots of piping. I attached 2 Ai representative images of what it should look like when completed. Nothing too difficult for the laser to cut 1/8" birch. The 3rd picture is the 30" x 30" template of where the fibre line of the paper mill will sit on the new peninsula for the paper mill. The bleach plant will be in the next 30" x 42" section above this one

Enjoy the day

Jerry

Morning everyone

Curt thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Nice pictures this am.

Rick thanks for the second cup.
Great picture by you also.

Tom sorry to hear about Emee's eye hope it gets better quickly.

Mike enjoy watching the game.

Larry did you have drink all the whiskey to get those barrels reay for flowers??  ;D

Morning Dave.

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/81.  Later on 91.
Somewhere in there I hear the beach calling us.
Will see we have one of the grandson's here for the day.
Nothing from the bench to report.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Jerry

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt.

Tom, hope Emee's eye gets better soon.

Current weather is 19c (67f) and sunny, I have a feeling that Gracie will be getting another long walk today.  After that the grass needs cutting and a grocery run.  This morning I spent time playing with coding for controlling planetary stepper motors.  Hopefully will get to the bench this evening.

Have a great day everyone.

Suddenly it's like SUMMER here in Michigan and the outdoors is stifling, I've procrastinated the day, so far but have one outdoor project to try.  See if the mini-troy-bilt (in name only) tiller we have will run.  I'd fed it pre-mixed canned mixed fuel and a on-line small engine gal on line aka Chickanic, swears AT that stuff being evil.  I've still some in the can, maybe toss that into the )-turn and mix some gas/oil the old fashion way.  Spilling all over my pants and such fun. The critter has sat 2 or more years and may be a real peri-menstral mess. :o  :o

I have the back deck spray booth in operation today, a shake the box Walthers' industrial building I picked up for pennies on the dollar at the W Grd Rapids Estate sale train store.

Later all, forecast here is rain later and in plenty tomorrow, so...time to Roll...

Ambitious Paper Mill, TomO, when done will be a good place for old farts to operate, blame the mill... :'(

Thank you all for the well wishes for Emee. She and Pam are now sleeping after a fretful night.

I slipped out to do some modeling.

I mentioned I found a "honey hole" at the flea market and was going to post photos here. What I'll do instead is start a thread titled "Flea Market Honey Hole".

I'll have a few photos later this afternoon.
