Good morning, folks,

Larry, thanks for opening, coffee, and tasty eggs.  Good luck at the doc's.

Rick, thanks for the photo. Nothing like a trip to the hobby shop to start the boiler fire...

Curt, good luck with the auto repair.  Hope the storm passes with no damage.

Thanks to everyone for the condolences about the deer encounter.  Dave, I never thought to use comprehensive.  I wonder if it is too late to change from collision?  I'll take her car in for repair this morning.

I went upstairs yesterday but couldn't get motivated to do anything.  I'll try again this afternoon.

Have fun,
mike

Rick, when I got back into modeling (did this twice), I started by picking a kit, then assembling (finding or buying) the tools for that kit.  When we moved here, and everything was still boxed up, I got a Bar Mills kit, an X-Acto Knife, some nail files, paint and brushes.  It kept me motivated while planning and contracting the work to finish the basement.

8) Sun and pleasant in MI this morning, warming later into the 70s.  That MAY draw me outside to do some stuff.  :-[

I worked off and on with Sculptamold on the layout yesterday, 10' or so.  Also baked a loaf of bread, frozen just let it set out until it rises stuff from the store.  Turned out well.

All I got...be well all.

(NEVER been to a chiropractor..) :o

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry, hope you make it to the bench today.

Rick, buying model railroad supplies? Only a matter of time now. 😊

Curt, hope the garage visit isn't too painful.

Mike, hope the motivation comes back today.

Dave, how you got back into modeling sounds like what I did every time I went to a new project.

Karl, hope you have a good day today.

Philip, good morning.

Current temperature is 9c (49f) and overcast, looks like a rainy day ahead.  No modeling last night as I watched the hockey game instead, they did not play well and lost.  Not sure what tonight will bring.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning everyone

Larry thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Looking for more updates.

Rick nice picture.
Hope you find the stuff you need to get going.

Curt good luck with the car.

Mike good luck with getting the insurance changed.

Dave good plan you had there.

Karl pictures soon of your work on the RR.

Morning Philip.

Ron to bad about your loss in hockey.

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/54.  Later on 68.
Nothing from the bench again just can't seem to get going again.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good morning everyone.

Currently 47, cloudy all day with a high of 73.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Breakfast burritos for breakfast filled with scrambled eggs, sausage and cheddar.

Jerry, what's new?

Ron, what did you end up doing last night?

Morning Philip.

Karl, what did you put on the bread?

Dave, I used the list proved by Brett in one of his kits.

Mike, how'd the afternoon go?

Curt, hope the fix wasn't expensive.

How's everyone else?

It's amazing to me how inept government employees can be.
Went to the courthouse yesterday to transfer title of my house to me.
The woman I dealt with had zero idea what I was doing there, how to do what was needed and asked the same questions numerous times.

A hike this morning.
Hope there's more color on the trees.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Sounds like it's cold in the mornings there already.

Sitting here drinking a cup of coffee trying to work up the energy to get a bowl of cereal. No modeling yesterday and still no word on the car. They're having issues finding the reason for the idiot light. They are usually our go to garage and have a very good local rep so I'm surprised.

Today Dad says he needs to go to the bank and talk to them sooo... I'll do some modeling after that.

Still raining, we'll more of a drizzle. I expect the rain to be bad this weekend.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the java and breakfast along with another beautiful photo. I've figured out over the years a lot of people who work for the gov't are there for the pension after 20 years so I'm not surprised hearing about your situation.

Curt hope the Dad trip to the bank goes quickly....been there done that. Hope they get your vehicle sorted out soon without a too much of a big hit to your wallet.

What's your plans for the day?

It's a drizzly 52 with a high of of 64. Maybe some bench time this am working on the wheel house. This afternoon taking Miss Ellie for a routine dental appointment then maybe dinner out afterwards. That's about it for my day.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Good morning, all. My bit of the NH seacoast is 50-ish. It's just clearing a bit after a 2nd rain shower in an hour. Rain is forecast to end in a couple of hours and reach 70F later.  Still harvesting apples and pawpaws, need to get a load of each to the farmstand.  Also visit my bank, then the welding supply store and finally to Seashore.

Good morning,

Rick, thank you for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Enjoy your hike.

Curt, good luck with the car. The weekend looks like a toad strangler here, too.

Larry, the wheel houses sounds interesting.  Enjoy your time with your bride at supper.

James, sounds like busy day.  Good luck with the harvest.

Philip, good luck with the car repair.  That sounds like a lot of work.

Ron, those 1:1 thing must be done, but all work makes Jack a dull boy...

Jerry, how did Izzy's spa day go?

TomO, I can't imagine hitting a bear. Good luck with the LHS deal.

Dave, what are you making with the laser?

Karl, I bet you are right about hunting season.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a sunny morning headed to 85F. I have a few 1:1 plans for the day, A/C filter change, hair cut, make lodge return labels, etc.  I hope to begin assembling and weathering the engine shed windows.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning from Wisconsin. The Brewers advanced last night Terry told me this morning and the White Sox play today hoping to advance. I'm sure Pope Leo mentioned them in his prayers last night. As a Chicago kid who rooted for the Sox over the Cubs this is just wonderful with the Pope adding excitement!

Went north yesterday to apply Scuptamold to the previous plaster cloth. The drive north to the layout's house has the last 8 miles driving through the access roads to Devils Lake State Park. I believe Rick a few years ago hiked with Starr along Mirror or Devils Lakes. Bob's place is along the slopes of the hills loaded with trees changing colors. The drive was nice.

Because our weather is gorgeous this week and hopefully this weekend, low 70's and bright we are packed. Every few years we travel the Great River Road along the mighty Mississippi River usually from Prairie du Chein north up to Minneapolis on mostly the Wisconsin side. We then head south on the Minnesota and Iowa side
Usually to Dubuque Iowa. We may instead head south from Prairie du Chein down to St Louis if I can find a route close to the river south from Dubuque. All depends on our 1st visit to Terry's oncologist today at 10. We are packed for an overnighter or just a drive through the Driftless area of Wisconsin. But no matter the decision at the doctor's I know she want a decent quiet drive to decompress

Some of the weathered 10 cars the LHS have already been sold and he wants me to deliver 10 more but told him he can come pick them up at 9 this morning or come by Monday.

Enjoy the day

TomO have a nice drive with Terry.

Karl great picture this am.

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/67.  Maybe 70's later in the day.

The white pines here are definitely shedding needles.  That is a periodic event for them.  Here's a photo with my new phone of the small maple that always shows great color:

My intended uses for the laser are first structures and second wood cars.  If I'm lucky, I'll have one of the late Craig Bisgeier's laser cut car kits that I can use as a pattern.
