Morning all,

Rain. Rain today. Rain tomorrow. Rain Tuesday. Hurricane Wednesday so, yeah, more rain.

Almost finished the mobile home. Just need to scenic the base. Dirt, asphalt, weeds, etc.

Have a great one.

Morning all,

Rats.  Didn't see the invite for the SBG until it was too late.

Think I'll head for the workbench.  Need to wrap up the current build, clean the workbench off and decide on what the next build will be.  Not that all of that will necessarily happen today.  You never know.

Have a great one!

Afternoon all,

Started my day with a walk.  After that I had a quick breakfast and then opted to go outside and do some touch up painting around the house.  I did that until the heat/humidity got the best of me.  Now I'm indoors for the rest of the day.  Think I'll poke around the workbench to see if I can get inspired to finish the current build.

Have a great one!

Morning all,

Great looking CNJ gondola, Jerry.  ;D

I'm being a little lazy today.  Hopefully some motivation will strike after lunch, and I'll pull out the workbench.  It's been too hot and humid outside to do some of the things that need to be done out there.

Have a great one!

Evening all,

Not a very productive day aside from a trip to Hobby Lobby and mowing the lawn. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

Have a good one!

Afternoon all,

I was going to do some painting outside but may rain so I guess I'll pull out the workbench instead. Oh darn.

Have a great one!

Morning all,

Great progress, Doug!  You have a lot more energy than I do.

Workbench time while watching football and racing today.  Not much else on the agenda.

Have a great one!

Quote from: cuse on September 26, 2024, 02:21:13 PMWow...quite a detailed and fun little scene!

Nice work as always!

Thanks John!  We're cooking now (pun intended). ::)

This one has me thinking, without 3D printing this type of kit (the lab detail kit) probably wouldn't have come out.  No one would have gone to the trouble to make the molds for metal casting of the lab equipment and the detail probably wouldn't have been as fine.  Great advancement for our hobby!

Fantastic job on the trailer build and the meth lab. Darryl does a great kit and the results are always well worth the work and effort. Very well done my friend.

Tom

Thanks Butty!  I certainly agree that Darryl puts together a great kit.  I'm half tempted to move on to his moonshiner's cabin kit (with interior details of course) after this one but I think I'll pick a small FOS kit instead.

Quote from: Zephyrus52246 on September 26, 2024, 12:12:44 PMIt's almost a shame to hide all those details behind a wall and curtains.  Nice work.

Jeff

Thanks Jeff!  I agree.  I have to make sure the roof is removable after putting that much effort into the lab.  :o

Thanks Tommy!  It's been a fun challenge. I'm quite pleased with how it's coming together.

Morning all,

We're a little east of where Jim is so it was pretty much a non-event for us.  Some wind, some showers.  Nothing much.  Certainly not any worse than some of the typical thunderstorms we get later in the afternoon.  Like he said, though, over on the coast it was a much different story.  The local stations ran a continuous coverage of the storm.

My HOA story, with regards to painting the exterior of the house, goes back several years.  We wanted to change the color (it was a pastel pink/white combo).  So, we picked out new colors, sent in the application to the HOA and waited.  Eventually they sent us a nasty gram telling us our house needed to be painted.  No kidding.  Better half got on the horn with the HOA management company and explained to them we were waiting on approval of the new colors.

Back to work on the mobile home build.  Coming along.  Soon time to prep a little base for it to sit on and turn it into a small diorama.

Have a great one!

dave

Thanks Dave!  Aside from a few small vending machine kits this is my first time with a 'structure' kit from Inter-Action Hobbies.  I'm really impressed with it.  They put out some nice stuff.

Again, this one doesn't fit the era I plan on modeling.  Most definitely not the one you model. But it's been a fun diversion.
