I purchased from hobby Lobby some Woodpile wood discs.

As the glue was drying, the discs started to warp so I used mini clamps to hold them (two days) together while the glue dried.

Now, I have a spot to proudly display General Robert E. Lee. This is the South in the late 1940s and early 1950s, so no WOKE crap is going to pull this monument down. And, I have 9MM reasons to back this up.

There will also be a pole proudly showing the American Flag and the Flag of the South below it.

Now, I'm gong to get a nice very cold Diet Pepsi and call it a successful day.

Neat feature, Tom.

Looking forward to the finished scene.

I assume the warped timber was not from NZ?

Cheers, Mark.

Mark, Cheers,

Thank you. No, the wood discs are from China so they warped. No NZ wood would warp. Honestly, I prefer the 1X3s from NZ over the wood grown and cut here. The NZ 1X3s are far superior to our #2 pine.

Greg,

Thank you also. The WOKE community is out of control. And the sad thing is we allow it.

Can't remember who asked for the following photos but here they are. The photo shows the layout as you walk in and stand between the two book cases.

The distance between the book cases to the south wall is 40 ft. 8 inches.

The upper level, Summit as the Judges calls it, will be 36ft. 8 inches from the south wall.

The next photo shows a length of 26 ft. from the wall. I still have another 10ft 8 inches of bench work left for the Summit level.

Another 8 ft. of LED lighting was installed under the upper level bench work.

But of course!

Time to grab a Diet  Pepsi and call it a day.
