A few days later I kit bashed the Walthers Sanding Tower to fit my three tracks.

When I ballasted this area, I used blue painted tape to cover the area where the tower bases would be located.

I used thin brass rods, measured, cut and soldered them to fit the area over the three tracks.

Curt,

Funny but I agree with you on the comment. Somehow, sometimes, a picture isn't always worth a thousand words.  8)

Bernd,

Thank you. I did find those emojis but have no idea how I did it. I'm not referring to the ones above.

Greg,

I'm sure the scenery helps. And, you need all the help you can get.  8)

My plan was to use the Engine Terminal Utility Poles on the outside tracks. Diamond Scale makes these and they are still available.

I placed two against the outside of the roundhouse. The utility pole on the right is by the taller wall and more to the center of the roundhouse.

I drilled holes in the slab and installed the poles - not glued, just fit for spacing.

I used 3/32 styrene tubing for the steam pipes.

I'm liking the looks of how this will turn out.

I then removed the poles and piping. I applied the first stage of weathering to concrete.

Here is a look at all the parts that make up the utility poles.

It took most of one day to assemble all the poles for what I needed, eight total.
