All's well in my part of Michigan as the power was finally restored around 0300 this am.  We had yet another round of storms around dark last evening and it is now sunny and calm with temp this morning in the 40s.

Today will be spent putting everything back in order.  It's a good thing the power came on when it did as the generator began acting up yesterday evening.

No hobby time planned at the moment.

Everyone have a good day.  Thankful here for the power crews, they still have lots to do in other areas.  I noticed the group of guys working here were all contractors and their boom trucks all have license plates from New Jersey, company called Visions something.

Be well all, stay safe.

KS, I can see the light! ;D

Good Morning from Central Florida;

Strange weather here as well, hit a high of 92 yesterday and expect repeat today then temp going back down. Feels like summer. Rick enjoy that drive today. Happy Birthday Dale, this year I will be hitting 70 but not for a few months.

Anyway have a great day.

Good morning from windy Wisconsin. 40f degrees heading to the low 50's with strong winds continuing.

Lots of storms rolled through the last week but we are fine. The biggest storm though is the one called the granddaughter. She popped into my trainroom after dinner last night and was just a ball of energy for a couple hours, not letting me work. It was fine though. Her mom came looking for her at 9 and she was relaxing on my lazy boy reading on her IPad. The grandson came down to say good night to his grandparents and mentioned missing his slot car track. I do have room in the train room for an oval race track. They sold their's because of the move. I will talk to his parents today as they will be here till 5/2026 while the house gets built.

The neighbors who had the lightning damage told another neighbor the adjustor said it will take a month or two for the settlement. They have extensive water damage as the Fire Department had to vent the roof. Sounded like the wall that the chimney got hit needs to be torn out and rebuilt. Not 100% sure about that but they were the only damage in the neighborhood even with all the storms we've had.

The south facing grass is beautifully green. But that means cutting. That is now the 11 year old grandson's chore and his dad will do the edging. I will pay the grandson. I mentioned the outdoor furniture yesterday at dinner. Said when Terry and I return from road tripping we can put it out. I looked out at sunrise this morning and the back deck has its furniture out minus cushions. That was a pleasant surprise. The SIL said this morning he'll do the rest today.

Enjoy your day

Good morning Larry, Dale, Curt, Mike, Rick, Dave, Karl, Jim, TomO and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry.

Currently 76F and cloudy here.  Going to keep it short today as it is "meeting" day, the least productive day of the week for me.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning crew, happy birthday Dale!

The storm moved through last night into the am hours. Pesky siren until about 1 am. All is clear and no damage. Calling for excessive rain until Sunday. No rain right now so concerned about that DA weather man as they said 12". Another sensationalized report for likes?

Have a great day!

Jerry

Morning everyone

Larry thanks for the coffee & breakfast.

Happy Birthday Dale have a great day!!

Curt if your missing parts call Brett and ask him for replacements.

You-all can keep that 90 degree weather in Florida...  My comfort level peaks in the low 80s (depending on humidity.)

I share that feeling. Here in Michigan we had a sizzling 48 and bright sun 8) but the 30-40 mph wind was brutal and cold while I was again filling the gas cans and my truck at the gas station sitting on a wide open rural corner surrounded by soaking wet farmers fields.  :o  back to 30s next week. Funny, it went to 60 for maybe half an hour around midnight last.

Headed back to normal here, as if there is such a thing ::)

Be well all.

Morning all,

Country Fried Steak with Hash Browns and Sausage Links. Drinks of your choice on the end.

I need to vacuum the SUV this morning and then edge and cut the grass. It is growing like crazy.

Yesterday I had a Dr. appointment - all is well. and then I cleaned the pool filter, trimmed the roses and planted four new Azaleas. After all that Pam took me out to dinner.

Time to get to work and beat the heat. Modeling later after taking a shower and a little rest.

Have a safe, happy and healthy day everyone.

Good morning all,
Tom, country fried steak with lots of gravy and black coffee sounds like a superb way to start the day.

2nd day in Florida and we are booked on an airboat ride followed by a trip to The Freezer for some shrimp for lunch. I am loving the warm weather as usual for me.

The Sarasota Toy Museum yesterday was unimpressive. The layout was not great and generally I don't think it was worth the time or money to see. A little disappointed. Lots of vintage toys but nothing labeled to tell you a year or any other info, just shelves of old toys behind glass.

Good sounding breakfast Tom a good start to the day.

Chilly but sunny start to the day here in Michigan, clouds and light rain to return by late afternoon. Things are closer to normal today.  Plans to work on some 1:1 are foremost today.  I have to re-ink the Epson printer.  Its been since June, '22 since I last did that.  I'm going to be using the rest of the ink bottles from that date.  I've been pretty happy with the printer since I bought it.

That's about it from the mitten state.  Still going to need mittens as it's still going to be winter for awhile.  30s Monday and Tues.  All the rain has greened up the grass.

Be well all, stay safe.

KS chillin'in the Mitten.
