Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 75F and  with moderate humidity. Yesterday after mounting the diorama on the wall I did a thorough cleanup of the workbench area. Later I ordered a clear styrene display cover for the mine.

It looks like next April we're going to do a cruise from Tampa to Seattle via the Panama Canal. ;D The canal is another thing that was on my Navy bucket list. The last one will never happen. I wanted to be on a sub doing a ICEX (get close to the north pole).

Not sure what's on the schedule today besides chores.

Jerry I ordered the SW Brass and Iron Foundry about a week ago.

Bob safe travels and enjoy your trip to Europe.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Clouds and 500 headed toward 70s.  Still some smoke around.

Mowed in back yesterday and sanded on the loco.

No plans yet for today.  Will try and get loose for some walking(?) or ?

Enjoy the day everyone.  Stay safe..

Good morning everyone.

Kuna, ID weather: Increasing clouds, with a high near 84.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Sounds like an exciting trip you have planned.

Karl, enjoy the walk.
Hope the engine fix is easy.
I had someone tell me once I should be in Hollywood.
They said the walk would do me good.  8)

Jerry, please post a picture of what you've already done.

Ron, sidewalks look good.

Dave, how'd the futzing go?

ACLTom, hope you slept better and I'm sure you had a great time with Pam.

Larry, hope you find a reasonably priced back-up power solution.

TomO, still in LV?

Mike, how's the traveling?

Greg, Dale, Philip and everyone else is doing well today.

Today my oldest, Jacklynn, turns 36.
I'm currently camped in a canyon along the Snake River in Kuna, OR.
There's supposed to be a bunch of raptors here but didn't see any yesterday.
Hope to get some pictures of them today.

Appropriately enough, I'm sharing my campsite with this guy.
It's a Gopher snake.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Gents,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Looking forward to your next SW build. Don't know if you saw it but I did add another chapter to my blog.

Karl enjoy your walkabout.

Rick sounds like nice weather there. Considering how much everything costs now days, we'll see just how reasonable another power source will be. Ya, you can keep your guy; I'd be looking for another place to camp.

Jerry, yes we'd love to see what you've been working on.

What's your plans for the day.

It's a cloudy, slightly muggy 67 with a high of 76 in New York and rain. Lucked out yesterday as the rain storms remained well below us; hopefully more of the same today. Ran my usual Friday morning errands so hope to spend some time at the bench shortly.

Have a great day. Be well and watch out for snakes.

Good morning Curt, Karl, Larry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt. Hope the chores are easy. The cruise sounds very interesting.

Karl, hope the insurance issues gets resolved quickly.

Rick, Hope your neighbour isn't to friendly, and you get some pictures of the raptures.

Larry, have fun at the bench.

Jerry, you have been teasing us long enough, we need pictures.

Currently 79F and slightly cloudy.  While driving home last night a transport traveling in the opposite direction threw something at me and now I have a nice circular crack in the windshield.  >:(  I'm going to need a new windshield.

Last night I glued the sidewalks in place.  Tonight plan is to make bases for the buildings so that they will be level when I plant them.  Really looking forward to the meetup with the Orlando crew tomorrow.

Have a great day everyone.

Curt thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Nice planned trip you should be done with the new kit by then!! ;)

Karl hope the engine is a quick fix.  Have a nice walk.

Happy birthday to your daughter Rick.
What's Star thinking of the snake??
I'm almost ready to start that thread.

Weather here in South Jersey M.sunny/77!
Later on 87.
Looks to be another beach day before the rain moves in over the weekend with the tourists.
Not sure which is worst the rain or the tourists!!

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Morning all,

Thanks for the breakfast Curt, much appreciated. Looking forward to your next SW build. The next trip sounds exciting.

Rick, nice close up of the snake. BTW, I watch the video of the river, Oregon River?. It was a great video and the water looked very cold. Happy birthday to Jacklynn.

Pam and I had a great time at dinner and saw some folks we haven't seen in years.

I slept great last night. After tossing the night before, edging and cutting the grass yesterday - I was so tired it felt good to get a full night of sleep.

Looking forward to the SBG tomorrow with the crew.

Karl, hope you find the time for the walk.

Jerry, trust me, tourists are worse than any rain.

I'll be in the train shed most of today.

Have a safe and healthy day everyone.

Morning all, Still wrapped around the axel with 1:1 projects. Spent a short minute at the bench last night but accomplished nothing.

Both cats have shot appointments today. Oliver typically cries the entire trip there.

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone.

Kuna weather: Sunny and hot, with a high near 90.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Two eggs any way you like, crispy bacon and or sausage and since I'm in Idaho, roasted potatoes for breakfast today.

Philip, anything good at the bench yesterday?

ACLTom, hope you slept well again and have fun with the SBG crew.

Jerry, maybe if it's raining sounds like a good bench day.

Ron, are you going to Tom's today?
Have fun.

Larry, anything new from the bench?

Karl, Curt, Dale, Dave, TomO, Mike and everyone else looking in, what's new?

Walked around some yesterday and got some wildlife pictures.
I'll post some of that tomorrow.
Also finished working on my video of the hike I did at Smith Rock State Park.
Here's the link: https://youtu.be/l0R9h4oZYGY

It's going to be way too hot here for the next few days.
So I'm heading a bit north to a higher elevation where it's 20 degrees cooler.
There will also be some hiking there.

Last nights sunset.

Have a great day everyone.

ACLTom, good morning.
Have fun with the crew today.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. I wish I could go on a short drive where it was 20 degrees cooler! :o I'll watch the new video later today.

Tom is there a SBG this morning? ;D  ;D LMBO...of course there is. I wondered if I could come down real early and have breakfast there, but decided that wasn't a good idea! ???

Yesterday I never made it to the train room. I chauffered Dad to buy a new electric cart that folds up like a 4 wheel baby stroller.

Last night I recieved the display case kit which I'll build Sunday and take a photo.

I hope everyone has a good day.

B-U-Ti-Ful Sunset!

Sun and 480 at Oh-6 too-damned.. 8) It may ascend to the 70s again.  Enough smoke still around for BBQ on a biscuit.  Hey, ya never know...ya  might like it!:P

I fiddled with a few things and made a trip to W. Lansing with an Amazon return I took to the UPS store.  Credit already applied.  Made a couple other stops off that way while I was out.

I may look at a repair on the front porch.  Hired it done a few years ago and the Lowes recommended wood butcher used cheap fasteners that rusted and it's about to fall apart in places.  Eventually all the horizontal parts need replacing.

I replaced a Tortoise on the crossover near the yard on the layout.  Hot glue works good for me.  I've reverted to caboose ground throws for most of my turnouts.  "Kansas City Cow Turds" one late, often crude but worshiped, Model RR gadfly in the area used to call them.  Apparently he'd seen them a lot on layout tours in the KC area and they offended his sensibilities ::) .  For me, they just work.  :D

Warmer weather here will work in the next week, it should be nice.

Enjoy the day.
