Enjoy the hike.

Curt thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Hope you get the pool straighten out.

Larry looking forward to the updates.

Tom sorry to hear about Pam's Mom.
And hope you get back on your feet soon to.

Philip yard work it's a PITA at times.

Weather here in South Jersey sunny/70.  Later on 80.
Not sure about the beach yet it looks to be windy down there.
Nothing from the bench again.
Diane's son is coming down later he has a job to finish down at the shore for a customer.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good morning Crew from the wetness of Wisconsin.

Great pictures everyone

Rich sorry to read and see that flood damage. Even though you've lived with it over the years it's still has to hurt

Rick, is that the first live fire you've run into the past 3 years?

Tom, you and Pam are going through a tough patch. Stay strong for each other.

Karl. Too many days off now a days! Enough said on that. Yep the weather in Michigan and Wisconsin are going to be similar the next few miserable days. Heat indices here are supposed to climb into the 100's the next few days

Mike, yep day tripping is enjoyable. We definitely needed to get out of the house

I made a frustrating trip to the post office yesterday. Yes, I knew on Juneteenth that the PO is closed but I'm retired and I barely know what day it is. How should I remember a federal holiday?  I'll head there again today with the last of the June shipments of my weathering commissions.

Jaws was released in the theaters 50 years ago today. Geez, that makes me feel oldish!!!

Rain predicted for wake-up (5am) waited and ended after maybe 30 minutes at 7:45am. I have not checked the rain gauge this morning but as of yesterday noon since Sunday my gauge totaled over 6". We needed it

I have really slashed my online viewing time to just under 2 hours daily. That gives me more modeling time except I have not taken advantage of it. I have taken back up an old favorite pastime. Reading books!

Enjoy the day
TomO

Rich, sad to see.  Beautiful garden and presentation.  I'm sure it's disheartening.  When we first put in the lawn here at our place we had a 7" heavy blast of rain the night after we'd wrapped it all up.  The lower corner of our yard still has the heaviest growth of any of it.

ACLTom, best with dealing with the health issues. The best to Pam at this particularly difficult period.

Heat
is coming to Michigan with 5-7 days of 900 plus temps beginning Saturday.  Today is the first day of summer, long live daylight time.  ;)  Some storms may be passing us.

I had a batch of Beef, mushrooms and pea pods from the newly reopenned Chinese place I ate for a couple of days, oooh weeee...too much sodium(?) my eyes this morning are  :o really puffed and my relief trip count was nearly double digits last night. IPFreely  :P

I have managed to get some work on the layout as well as at the bench.  More the next few days in the heat.

Have a fine weekend all.  Safe and dry/cool.

Good morning Rick, Curt, Larry, ACLTom, Terry, Philip, Mike, Jerry, TomO, Karl. and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, hope the pool cleaning goes well.

Rick, glad the fire is out and enjoy your hike.

Larry, hope the errands go quickly so that you get some bench time.

ACLTom, glad to hear that your surgery went well and I'm so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law.  I hope she goes peacefully and doesn't suffer,

Terry, nice to see you drop in.

Philip, have fun with the yard work,

Mike, Hope the 1:1 stuff is easy.

Jerry, hopefully you make it to the bench today.

TomO, reading books is not a bad thing.  I too am starting to limit my time online as it seems to eat up time in a hurry.

Karl, working on the railroad when it is extremely hot outside is not a bad thing.

Rich, living in a flood zone sounds like an adventure  :o

It's currently 60F and overcast with more rain in the forecast.  It is definitely not Florida weather here.  Spent most of yesterday unpacking.  The Mrs has quite the to-do list now that I am back.  One of the big item on the is to convert a spare bedroom into a craft room for her.  That will consist of cleaning out the existing room, which seems to have turned into a storage room, so I see a lot more purging in the very near future.  It is amazing how much stuff that gets accumulated when you live in the same place for almost 30 years. Hopefully after supper I get to unpack more of my model stuff.

Have a great day everyone.

Back Again,

Tom sorry to hear about your Mother-in-law; my thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Hope your leg surgery goes well.

Philip hopefully the weather will be nice to you.

Mike good luck on the 1:1 stuff.

Jerry hopefully the bench is in your view sometime today.

Tom O. nothing wrong with reading a good book.

Karl and that is why I don't eat Chinese besides it ALL tasting the same. Have fun at the bench.

Ron I feel your pain. After being here for 40 years we've had the same problem; too much junk. Every time I go to clean an area I get "the look" from Ellie "I may need that some time." If you haven't used it in the past 5 years the you're probably not going to

Took my trash to the transfer station this morning. When I walked into the garage I heard our stray (porch cat) crying like he was stuck somewhere. After returning home I spent the next 45 minutes calling him and listening for his cry. There's a small building behind the garage which isn't used for anything but has a "cat door" for him to get in out of the weather if he chooses. Going into the building with my head lamp on I finally found him, thank God, he was way up in the rafters and was afraid to come down. Went and got some cat treats and a ladder and finally coaxed him to where I could get my hands, with gloves, on him and brought him down and he flew out the opening. Needless to say that opening as been blocked so he can't get inside and do that again.....cats!!

Have a good one!!!!

Good morning everyone. Up early to get crackin on cleanup duties.

Thanks for your comments Larry, Phillip, Mike, TomO, Karl and Ron.

Jerry - Have you started on my arc yet?

Tom - Prayers for You & Pam

It appears there's no rain in the forecast until next Wednesday,
so that will aid me on my cleanup this time. After Wednesday, it looks like
another week of full rain will be coming my way. Forecasters have predicted
a hot and wet summer this year. I can't deal with this every other week!

Back later this afternoon with a progress report. Have a safe day all.

Rich

Jerry

Rich it's done and ready to sail!!
In your spare time you could show what your working on model wise!!  ;D

TomO what are you reading???

Karl are we going to see an update?  Or are you going to be like me and just promise??  :)

Ron don't you just hate those to do lists??

Larry I take the gloves are so you don't get scratched to bad!!

No beach to windy.  So I'll sit out back in the sun with Daine.
Bench time later and maybe a new thread!  8)

Tom, thoughts for you and Pam as you go through this.

Ron, remember you need about 20% more space to efficiently sort stuff than to store it.

One of my dogs has an upset tummy and the runs, starting yesterday after the vet visit.  We were up several times taking him out.  I think he's starting to feel better...   This is our high energy dog, so seeing him subdued is tough.

Afternoon all,

Joyce, Pam's mother, peacefully passed this morning at 11:18 AM. She was five weeks shy of her 97th birthday. Pam took excellent care of her the past 13+ years.

Friday Pt II  :P

Peace to you both ACLTom and Pam it's heroic and often stressful trying to manage elders.  25yrs of experience with that.  My folks made 92-Dad and 97-Mother with 10yr age diff.

Jerry inquired:Karl are we going to see an update?  Or are you going to be like me and just promise??  :)

Option 2 I believe...I've taken photos, but they just do not convey the work I have done. :(   Just highlights the un-done space.

We have had the rain hit around or shortly after noon while I was off to W side of Lansing for 2 Rx at 2 different pharmacies and a pick up at Menards and a solar panel for the camera in the UP at the Northern Command Bunker at the Cedar Swamp.

It's a busy day here today.
Nice to see.

ACLTom, my condolences to Pam, yourself and the rest of your family on your loss.

Karl, getting ready to head north soon?

Dave, hope your dog is feeling better.

Rich, glad the rain stopped and you can start the clean up.

I'll post what I did today in the AM.

In the mean time, have a great evening.

deemery

Titus ate his full late dinner, so he's feeling better...   He's still not 100%, but will probably be back to (annoying) normal tomorrow.
