Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, yogurt, toast, OJ, and soda.

I feel like I didn't sleep well last night but my nifty Fitbit says I did. ::)

Yesterday I bought a outside trashcan and soaked 2 of the 3 filter inserts overnight in a borax solution (significantly cheaper than filter cleaner).

This morning I have to thoroughly rinse them and soak the 3rd one. After that I have to attach 2 pieces of trim around the dishwasher that I cut to size and painted yesterday.

Not much more to add today.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning Curt and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt.  Sounds like the pool filter cleaning is going well.

Currently 56F and cloudy today.  Spent a good part of yesterday purging stuff out of the spare bedroom, the garbage man is going to love me.   ;D  Also found time yesterday to make a run to Ikea to pick up the shelving system the Mrs wants to use for storage.  Today's mission is to assemble it and anchor it to the wall.  Should be a fun day.

Most of the stuff I brought back from Florida is unpacked and put away, only have one bin of model train stuff to unpack, that should happen tonight after all the other stuff gets gone.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Sounds like you have a busy day ahead; don't overdue.

Ron looks like you have things well in hand. It's nice you don't have to travel anymore
and I'm sure the Mrs will appreciate it also.

What's your plans for the day.

It's 67 with a high of 89 in New York. Looks like some rain storms overnight; hopefully not too
bad. Maybe a little time at the bench this am then I have an outside project if the heat doesn't
get to me. That's about it from here.

Sum-sum-summer time! yada yada... :-[ 750 already, going to the mid to upper 90s today and the next 4-5 days..damn, I just put away the long sleeved T shirts! :o

Managed a couple hours of bench time yesterday and little else ;) .

Time to fire up the AC, little chance to enjoy the outside air and sounds with the wide swing in temps.

Everyone have a fine day, stay well, hydrate and use sun screen 8) .

Good morning everyone.

Shelley, ID weather: Mostly sunny, with a high near 64.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.

Curt, Larry and Ron, hope all those 1:1 projects go well.

Karl, stay in and stay cool and work on the layout.

Hope everyone else and their dogs and cats are doing well.

Star and I hiked 7.61 miles and climbed 2,224' to the top of Kinport Peak.
Today will be mostly a rest day and maybe sit outside and enjoy a cigar.

Found something on yesterdays trail that I've never seen before.
At the top of the peak is a tower with a bunch of stuff I'm not sure what they are used for.
Maybe radio, TV and cell service and who knows what else.
After hiking 3.3 miles I find this big bucket truck stuck up to its axels.
I can't believe that got this thing this far because the trail is very narrow in places.
Was a pain getting around it.

There was a beautiful sunrise too.

Have a great day everyone.

That second photo is a real calendar shot, Rick.  I'd guess the tower (and bucket truck) was for cell service, those are ubiquitous these days.

My dog is feeling much better today, he's back to his 100% often annoying self.  ;D  I still passed on the local NMRA meet today.

Good Morning and Greetings;

The Boss and I are back from Ohio, we both caught sinus infections probably due to high pollen counts, there was so much cottonweed some of the ground looked like there was snow on it. Trip went well, grandkids are growing up way to fast, the first one is off to college. Still, great to be home.

I got word yesterday that the Winter Challenge awards have shipped so a surprise is on its way to our three winners. Thanks to Rusty to getting these out.

Now home I hope to get back into working on the layout a little more. It is  also good to catch up on the going's on here. Have a great day.

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and a healthy breakfast.  Good luck with the filters.

Ron, good luck with the shelving and train unpacking.  Welcome home.

Larry, hope the new project goes well.  I heard a heat wave was headed your way, stay cool.

Karl, glad you found bench time.  Stay cool, too.

TomO, congrats on carving out more time for hobbies and reading.  I'm right there with you on that!

Rick, Wow, what a sunrise photo.  Very nice indeed!

Dave, glad Titus is feeling better.

Jerry, since retiring, we avoid most shopping and event locales on the weekends.  There are way too many people on those days.

Jim, welcome home.  Glad you had a nice trip.

TomACL, my condolences for Pam and your loss.  Sounds like she had a great life with you.

How is the rest of the crew?

This morning, Sharon and I went to two farmers' markets and had breakfast at our favorite Mom and Pop restaurant. Perhaps I can get some time for the workbench today.  The water tower needs to be finished.

Have fun,
mike

My current build is the Water Tower and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Jerry

We had a visitor today.  So we had to baby sit while Mom was off looking for food!!
