Good morning Rick, Larry, Mike, ACLTom, Curt, Karl, Philip, Jerry, TomO, Greg and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick, sounds like you had a busy day yesterday.

Currently 20C (68F) and overcast here in Southeastern Ontario with rain in the forecast.  The estate sale was 99% HO stuff which I have no use for but I did see a bunch of people I haven't seen in a long time.  The visit wasn't a total waste acquisition wise as I did manage to pick up 7 brass bar clamps of various sizes for a good price, I really like using them and I have quite a collection of them already but as you know, one can never have too many clamps.  ;D  I also manage to get all the chores done and even a couple more that I didn't even know was on the list.  :o

Today the only thing I need to do is make a grocery run and walk Gracie.  Speaking of walking Gracie there seems to be a break in the rain drops so now is a great time to get that done.  After that and the grocery run, it's bench time.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone.

Cascade weather: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 67.
I'm sure it's cooler where I'm at since I'm at a higher elevation.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Omelet station is set up.
Anything you desire to put in it is available as are any sides you like.

Ron, congratulations on the clamps score.

Greg, have another peaceful day.

TomO, thanks for watching and enjoying the videos.
Anything interesting going on in the train room?

Jerry, hope the AC is running again.

Philip, did the corn totally rebound?

Karl, do anything interesting yesterday?

Curt, good news on the sleep and money made at the rescue.

ACLTom, any plans for the next project?

Mike, get a lot done upstairs yesterday?

Larry, most of the Marvel movies I've watched are pretty good.

Drove to the trailhead we're hiking this morning and spent the night here.
I was here over a month ago but there was so much s$#@ the trail was impassable.
Did a little preview of the trail yesterday and it's now covered in wildflowers of every color.

Shot this on my way back to my campsite near the Sawtooth Mountains.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, yogurt, bagels, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk that had a feel like temp of 86F at 0500. :o The temps are supposed to be 100+ until Friday.

I'm sad that it looks like neither kit (SW or Keep it Rusty) have made it any closer to shipping. :'(

Today is laundry, animal chores, and a trip to the library. Otherwise, I'm staying inside.

I hope everyone has a good day.

I guess Rick and I were posting at the same time and a omelet sounds better than what I have.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  I'm looking forward to your photos of the once snaux covered trail.

Curt, thanks for coffee and breakfast.  Good luck with the kits.

How is the rest of the gang?

It's a bright morning in the Piedmont with a forecast of 91F.  The humidity is high, so working outdoors is not fun.

Yesterday, I didn't work much on the layout, but decided it was ready for Sculptamold (maybe today).

I cleaned the flash from the scrap car and details, gave the parts a bath in the ultrasonic cleaner, and set them out to dry.  I'll spray with primer later today.

Have fun,
mike

Morning Gents,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. I don't think there has been a Marvel movie that I didn't like; just some more than others. Beautiful photo, looks like it could go over someone's living room couch.

Curt careful in that heat....yikes! Thanks for #2 cup of Joe. I have a feeling Brett is overrun with orders to fill since he's released a new kit in both Ho & O scales at the same time. I don't expect tp see mine arrive anytime soon; probably fall-ish.

Mike have fun at the bench and with the impending messy modeling job.

What's happening?

It's a cloudy 62 with a high of 73 in New York. Today's one of those days where I have errands galore; probably will take most of the morning. A grey cat's been showing up once in awhile scarfing up whatever food is left, we've had a stray living on our back porch for about 5 years, so yesterday I noticed he was getting quite thin. Now we're putting out extra food so he can fill his stomach. These a**holes need to STOP dropping off their unwanted cats!!!!! Rant ended.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Some thunderboomers came through around dinnertime last night, and brought cooler and drier air!  It's 68 up to 76, and less humid.  This pattern will stay for a couple of days!

Mostly yesterday I worked on the forge I'm adding to the machine shop, while pondering The Shifter Problem.  Today there's German class in the morning and then our handyman is coming by to replace the mixing valve in the shower.  It went 'binary', "Hot" or "Cold" with nothing in between.  Kohler sent us a free replacement (it's not that old, we gutted the master bath when we moved here.)

Another great photo from Rick.  I miss seeing real mountains....

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick and Curt. Enjoyed the Goat Lade Hike video Rick.

No plans yet for the next project. Probably no modeling for a while, I plan to spend August on the book. I haven't done any writing since last November.

As Curt mentioned it is hot here. The humidity makes it seem much warmer. 8:54 and already 87.

My plan for today is to finish the FOS garage, clean off the loco work bench in prep. for brass loco painting sometime in September.

Have a safe and healthy day everyone.

Morning everyone

Rick thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Great picture to start the day.

Curt thanks for the second cup.
I'm sure Brett is overrun with orders right now!

Mike looking forward to the start of the scenery.

Larry it's a shame they don't have there cats fixed so all these unwanted cats are running around.

Dave hope the shower gets fixed today.

Tom have a nice day. The garage is looking great.

Weather in South Jersey sunny/79.  Later on 84.
Might be a nice day in the sun for a change instead of the high humidity and 90's.
My room might even cool down.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

BRIGHT :o glaring light reflecting off the lake this morning. It's dazzling.  It's chilly, still in the 50s and moderate humidity.  Looks like a nice day upon us.

We went out on a road trip yesterday in some of back tracks of the southern end of the Garden peninsula just below our area on the map.  We'd discussed a long abandoned lumber port, Little Harbor that was in a cove on Lake Michigan.  From Google there is no sign of it at all remaining.  WE did manage to see a bit of the area it was but someone has built a multi gazillion dollar house that dominates the chance to really view it.  If you like the view, you better buy it. Much of the south end of the Garden has be ruined visually by a conglomeration of those massive, fugly, dizzying windmills.  :P  :-X

Back home I had the drone out and did a little practice flying.  Rusty to say the least.  But I didn't crash so it's fine.  Photos from that may meander in my posts eventually.  This PC laptop loses my photos, or rather I do not know where to look.  Really not the least bit capable of editing video like our own Cecil B DeMille, Rick.

Larry I concur with your cat rant.  We had 3 that we adopted 10 yrs ago that were sad eyed little heart breakers that wandered up, among a half dozen in a litter.  The Doll talked me into each a few weeks apart with her finest of w(h)ines...3 she had coaxed in were sick, feline leukemia and she had to have them euthenized.  We ended up with those we have, each a totally different color and personality, or in one case, lack there of...which is her own little quirk.  They travel up here with us but are not allowed outside here.  Coyotes, wolves and just 2 days ago, bears live among us.

Today will be a laid back day, maybe.  We do need a trip to the store.

Enjoy the day everyone.  Be well, safe, cool and dry as appropriate.

Good morning Rick, Curt, Mike, Larry, Dave, ACLTom, Jerry, Karl and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Rick and Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfasts.

Rick, enjoy your hike today.

Curt, I'm glad I'm missing that heat, stay inside as much as you can.

Mike, Have fun terraforming.

Larry, hope you make it to the bench after the chores are done today.

Dave, sounds like great progress was made yesterday.

ACLTom, I'm going to have to catch up on the garage build, enjoy the writing process.

Jerry, sounds like a great day to spend at the beach.

Karl, It's been too long since I flew my drone, maybe I should make a point of doing some practice with it.

It's currently 16C (60F) and sunny with a high of 22C (72F), perfect summer weather for me.  Yesterday didn't go as planned, when I finished walking Gracie and doing the grocery run the Mrs needed a drawer on a cabinet repaired, well it turned out that I had to repair all the drawers in the unit because as soon as I fixed the draw in question, it impacted another drawer (there are 9 drawers in the unit).  I thing by the time I was done the entire unit was rebuilt.  I did managed some time laying track on the staging yard after dinner.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning crew. Thanks for the coffee!

To answer Rick's question the corn is looking terrible. About 1/3 has rebounded. The rain keeps knocking it down. Farmers are expecting a terrible yield this year because of the rain.
