Good morning all. About 7 pm last night I realized I forgot about taking my meds. No good but glad to still be here. Thanks for the waffles Tom!

Yard work is finished after a lovely 103°.

Have a great weekend!

650 with rain wind 8-13 and 90%+ humidity.
Little to report today, eased into a short trip to town and layed low yesterday, seems with the rain a bit more of that.  :-\

Star has the "Evil-Eye" dialed in Rick.

ACLTom, enjoy your day, thanks for breakfast.  I'll take a Diet Coke with that strawberry waffle, extra Cool Whip please!

We have some bluegills thawing for dinner tonight or tomorrow.

Das it from here...be well all...

TomO, glad you dodged the tornado.  Are you still weathering models for $$ or was it your models?

Really we had no idea the tornado was close by. The sky did not look that bad. The local weather guys are saying it was at most a F1 but nothing will be official. The NWS in our area of Wisconsin no longer has an investigation staff and because there was minimal damage they won't send a crew over from Chicago. Hopefully for insurance purposes the insurance companies accept the claims without officially the event being called a tornado! There is a debate in our local media about that

As to my weathering commissions. Yes I am still doing diesels and freight cars. Just nowhere near as many before I really bit the bullet and cut back. I'm not advising my services and I asked my regulars not to recommend me anymore except to really close friends. 20 freight cars and 10-15 diesels a month are more than enough. For some reason though I did get overwhelmed with diesels since returning from our travels in June. I still love doing the weathering but it was taking over my life. With Terry and myself having health issues basically continually from my stroke last July I really had to cut back. We are better now but I think I am in a good spot. Thank you for asking

Good afternoon from Wisconsin. A nice day that started off cool and wet. The events bringing us the wet have moved on but left high humidity! Dew point is 84 degrees with a temperature of 86.

We are watching the grandkiddos tonight. Their mom and dad are headed to campus for a Coldplay concert at Camp Randall with about 70,000 others! I guess now before the kiss cam comes out Chris Martin of Coldplay is announcing it after the CEO and the Head of People fiasco the other night. Have an affair but jeez keep it private!

I did some weathering this morning and listed some reefers for sale on the Facebook Buy/Sell pages I use. My personal freight car inventory about 2 years ago was perfectly inline with my layout and goals. But I started buying again and it's out of whack. Time to trim

Enjoy the balance of the day

Good morning everyone.

Cascade, ID weather: Partly sunny, with a high near 74.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Blueberry pancakes hot off the griddle for breakfast today.
Fresh churned Wisconsin butter and real Michigan maple syrup are available.
Crispy bacon and sausage links too.

TomO, good luck with the car sales.

Greg, I guess I shouldn't turn my back to Star for a while.  ;D

Karl, how were the bluegills?

Philip, 103 sounds too hot to do yard work.

Mike, stock car came out great.

Larry, car show sounds interesting but I know what you mean about crowds.

Jerry, did the sun come out?

Dave, if I want to take a picture of her she resists, but if I'm trying to take a landscape picture she has a habit of wandering into the frame.

Ron, get anything at the estate sale?

ACLTom, garage looks amazing.

Since we stayed overnight at a trailhead I decided to do the 4 mile hike.
Then went into town to shop at Walmart, Costco and Petco.
Made it to the gym and then treated myself to a burger and stout at a brewery.
Left Boise because it's too hot and I'm half way to Cascade where it's much cooler.

Thanks to all that watched my videos and commented.
There were split results on the video styles so I'll incorporate a little of both in each video.

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee, breakfast, and another amazing photo. After working retail for almost 50
years crowds I try to avoid at all costs. They posted a photo on FB @ 2am yesterday showing old cars and trucks backed up on the interstate for miles; some were sleeping in their vehicles...now that's dedication.

What's the rest of you doing today.

It's a cloudy 72 with a high of 78 and rain in New York. Maybe some bench time today since outside will be a "no go". Beyond that not entirely sure. Watched Marvel's Thunderbolts last night; pretty good flick.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Good morning, folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and the fantastic breakfast.  Hope you enjoy the cooler climes.

How is the rest of the gang?

It's another overcast morning, but no rain is in the forecast.  Sharon is away most of the day with our Daughter, so I am foot loose and fancy free.  That translates to working on the layout and possibly continuing to spread lime in the yard.

Have fun,
mike

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick, nice and tasty.

Grocery shopping this morning along with the errands we didn't get done yesterday.

Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. I'll take some of that cooler weather.

We made it home around 6 pm yesterday. Today I need to finish unloading the car and clean pet carriers. I finally had a decent night's sleep. The two nights in Lakeland were miserable. The traffic on I-4 was heavy but no slow downs (unusual).
The rescue made more money than last year. ;D

That's about all I have today.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Hazy bright with low 60s after early fog.  The water on the big puddle looks like diamonds.

The blue gills lived up to promises, they were a joint effort and were delicious.  High point to a day of rain, then it cooled off as the sun dropped below the tree line.  We visited a friend after dinner for a couple of hours.

I managed to work on weathering some strip wood from the kit I have along.  Reality is there isn't going to be enough time to do much on that.

The day, so far, is unplanned.  ;)

Be well all, travel safe road warriors!

Good morning, Another cool start but that ole heat index is insane.

Thanks for the coffee Rick!

No plans other than church this am.

Have a good en!

Morning everyone

Rick thanks for breakfast & coffee.

Weather in South jersey is lousy once again cloudy/79.
This has been the lousy summer so far for beach weather!!!
It's just been hot/rainy and mostly cloudy.

Our AC broke down twice over the weeknd.
We have a service contract so its running but they need to come back to fix something else.
No time at the bench to warm in the room.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good morning Crew. A nice dry morning in So Central Wisconsin as the prediction changed last night from rain all morning to dry till Monday evening. High today changed from 72 to 80 and it's 74 now at 10:05 Central.

I was supposed to meet up with the daughter and hubby's contractor to create a final check list at 10 but he called asking to meet at noon. Hopefully the week of the 27th they can move in. The grandson and his dad went over there a few minutes ago to start cutting. The grandson is going to learn how to use a zero turn mower with a 60" cutting deck. He's 11 and responsible enough to handle it. There is some elevation changes but nothing too severe that needs to get cut.

The wife, daughter, the granddaughter and the daughter's former business partner but still a life long friend are going furniture shopping. Except for the daughter's main bedroom furniture the last house sold with the furniture included. So they need a few things! That is a trip I am glad I was not invited on. The son in law asked me this morning if he should have discussed a budget with Kaiti! I am still laughing at that!

Rick, I enjoy the videos with or without commentary. I'm playing catch up though.

I will get down to the train room this afternoon but I have no plan

Enjoy the day
TomO
