Good morning all. No breakfast for me, just black coffee. A nice morning here in Northern Colorado, 60 now headed to the upoer 60s with a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. I'll be spending a couple of ours on the weed whacker this morning, after that who knows what the day will bring. I am hoping for cold beer and some modeling. Time will tell. Hope everyone has a safe and pleasant Sunday!

Quote from: ACL1504 on June 08, 2025, 07:21:24 AMMorning Curt and others,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. Pam fixed me a thick waffle with strawberry and cool ship.

We had a great time yesterday with the Saturday Butty Group. It was also great to meet Ron and spend several hours talking to him. He fits right in with the BSing. We voted with members present to accept Ron as an honorary member of the SBGs., He accepted.  Now Ron and Rick are both honorary members of the group. Ron is going back to Ontario on Tuesday so it was great we were able to get together with him. He got a couple small gifts to remember the SBGs.

We missed Reading Bob as he and Eileen were off to a European River Cruise.

Have a safe and healthy day everyone.

Great picture guys. Just about what I expected. Great looking very fit and trim (like me) young whippersnapoers enjoying a photo. Great to put faces to names. It's cool so many of you can get together like this.

I spent today playing tourist at Icon park, where I went to a couple museums enjoyed the sight and had a great time.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is...well, the kitchen is here fix what you want.

Today I am dog sitting for daughter while a group including MOH are going to SeaWorld. I don't do theme parks after doing the PM thing at WDW for years. I'm sure the dog will go over with the skunks like a lead balloon.

Rick I'll take another photo but how do I get it to you?

Ron I'm glad you enjoyed the SBG and tourist things you did.

MOH and another lady are driving to Cedar Rapids, IA on skunk rescue business. She'll be gone for 5 days. It's about a 19 hour drive without stops.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

Cascade weather: Sunny, with a high near 82.

Curt, I fixed myself some coffee and two eggs with sausage.
I'll message you my email.
What's PM at Disney?

Ron, welcome to the club.  ;D

Karl, no, just lens distortion.

Dale, hope you got to have that beer and modeling time.

TomO, I'm not familiar with Summerlin.
I'll have to look it up.

Jerry, have fun painting the details.

Larry, I saw your update and I'll comment after I'm done here.

ACLTom, Greg, Mike, Dave, Philip and everyone else looking in, any plans today?

Another failed hike yesterday.
Just getting here I had to use 4 low to get through some s@#$ piles.
There was some s%$# on the trail that was easy to get over till I got  mile into it.
Then it was all s@#$.
Even that was easy to hike over until a quater mile later and the trail made a very sharp descent that covered with two or three feet of the white stuff.
Didn't chance it and turned around.
Still did 3 miles and 581' of climbing.
Stayed at the trailhead rest of the day.
As the sun was going down I lit a fire and smoked a cigar.
Since the hiking here in the higher elevations is a no go I'll head back into town.

Another one of my neighbors that Star loved chasing while camping in the Snake River Canyon.

Rick I was a Paramedic with Reedy Creek FD. I was one of the first responders actually stationed in the various parks. This was designed to cut down response times. We could be anywhere in the park within 3-4 minutes.

Pretty sunset.

Good morning, all. Rick, those lava beds and scoured out river valleys are scenic, but they've never made me feel like moving there.

My previous dog loved chasing the blue-tailed skinks in our house in northern VA.  Once she caught one, and was so surprised she opened her mouth and it ran up her back and away before she could figure out what was going on.

Not much training for me today, German class in the morning and 2 concerts in Boston in the afternoon and evening (it's the week of the Boston Early Music Festival.)

83f degrees at 5:30am in the desert. 106+ later! The 5 mph gusts of wind are worthless! It's hot

Rick. Summerlin is a "master" planned community within the city limits of Las Vegas. Instead of neighborhoods or boroughs I guess they call them communities here. Southern Highlands is where my brother lives and it's the same, within the city limits of LV. Summerlin though is west and at a higher cooler temperature. I think that's a joke! Down at my brothers it was 108 on the thermometer and 20 minutes later in Summerlin it was 99, still rather hot!

The son and girlfriend flew back yesterday to Austin. Austin seems to get cooler overnight to the 60's or 70's where LV drops only into the 80's. Both today will be 100+. But IMOO the Austin humidity is worst than the dry LV heat

Just 5 of us remain here and it was quiet last evening. We watched the 2 Top Gun movies. Repeats for us but still decent action and entertainment. The son had fine tuned the brothers sound system. None of us but the brother could hear the differences but I know the son told his uncle not to touch certain settings! Around 11am the sister wants to do a local casino, nothing on the strip so outside the gates here about a mile away are a bunch of local casinos.

Heading out for the delayed 5:30 walk in a few minutes (6am). He's on the phone

Enjoy your day

Good morning Curt, Rick James, Dave, TomO and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee Curt, I'm in a bit of a hurry so I made myself a bagel with lox and cream cheese.

Currently 81F and slightly cloudy here.  Last week of work before I head back to Canada.  Not sure If I'll get any modeling done as I really should start packing.

Have a great day everyone.

Well Rick, you did say you were looking for cooler, 3' of snow seems to fit the bill. How is your van in snow?  Our Fire Department had a Big GMC 4x4 Rescue truck. Looked cool all jacked up, etc. but it sucked in snow. Way too heavy. I buried it trying to get behind a house fire once. I never tried it off road again.

I finished my porch railings yesterday. Tried watching the NASCAR race from Michigan, eyelid droop set in at times.

No plans yet this morning. I guess I should eat something, little sounds good to me

Bench time later?  ::)

Did you get the new texts from Diane??

Morning James.

Dave they were skunks I assume?  Have fun at the concerts.

Tom I like the heat but that is really way to much.  Stay cool!!

Ron have fun packing up all that stuff.  that sure was a short visit for you.

Morning Greg.

Karl I hope you get to the bench later on.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)
