Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and the muffin. Congrats on the detail painting completion.

It sounds like everyone is having some fun at the workbench.  Persist!

It's a windy and grey morning, but I don't plan on playing outside today.  The annual lodge financial report is calling for me to work on it, and I also hope to work on the derrick.

The various derrick wheels require a lot of detail work to assemble, e.g., rods inside of tubes, that are tubes inside of more tubes, and tubes separated by washers — all hand-made. Still, it is fun.

Have fun,
mike

Jerry

Morning everyone

Curt thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Glad the detailing is done.

Yes Rick I'm running late again this morning.
Slept in.

TomO glad you found your glucose kit.

Ron glad the wife didn't have a heart problem.

Tom have fun in the shed.

Karl I never heard of that card game.

Mike good luck with the Derrick.

Weather in South Jersey is cloudy 31.  Later on 31.
Tonight we will be in the low teens.
I have nothing to report this am.
Oh the Christmas decorations are done.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good Afternoon,

Been a rough day. My Daughter called around 7:30 am. Cleaned off the car, grabbed the jumper cables and headed west to the other side of Syracuse. The highway I take is all messed up with construction so slowed traffic going through part of it. Arrived and jumped her car....no joy, the battery was shot and me without any tools. She called for a tow & 3 hours wait....didn't show. Finally we tried he car again and it started. Followed her to the garage then took her back home. Now I need to go back, if her car's done, and pick her up and go to the garage. Taking the NYS Thruway this time to avoid the rush hour traffic on the other route. Thank God for GPS. So that's been my day.

Be well and stay warm.

Good morning everyone.

75 and sunny here in Lake Havasu today.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Should we start including hot chocolate in the mix?
Crispy bacon, egg and cheese on a toasted buttered everything bagel for breakfast today.

Larry, hope your day is less crazy today.
Glad you were able to finally get the car started.

Philip, keep on keeping on in your happy place.

Jerry, glad the decorations are all up.

Mike, how's the derrick build going?

Karl, sounds like a fun night of cards.

ACLTom, hope the GFI fix is a quick, easy and cheap.

Ron, best wishes for your wife to beat that infection quickly.

TomO, glad you tracked down your monitor and hope there was a successful meet to get it back.

Curt, any kit progress yesterday?

Both Dave's, James, Jim and anyone else looking in, how are you today?

Went out to lunch with my daughter and her boyfriend.
Then went to Hobby lobby and finished Christmas shopping for the little ones.
The two older ones will get cash.
Afterward I drove down to Lake Havasu.
I'm camped at the trailhead of the hike Star and I will do today.
If I do the whole trail it will be a new PB for distance hiked.

This was at the camp I was at in Bullhead City.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Enjoy your hike today and good luck with your PB. How many miles is that?

Started out the day with a walk at a feel like temp of 47F. Brrrr... Definitely a long pants day.

Yesterday I put down the initial ground cover on the diorama. Today MOH wants to go to Costco $$$. Joy.

That's it for me.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick. I had the hot chocolate and some OJ.

As Curt said, it is a little cool here this morning but thankfully, no white stuff.

The electrician will be here tomorrow at 10AM to fix the GFi outlets. I can do many things but don't mess with electricity. We'll see how much it costs.

We have bowling today and then lunch afterwards with friends.

Not much else is happening from here.

Have a safe and warm day everyone.

Tom

I guess PB isn't Peanut Butter.... ::) (yeah I know...)

More snow here in MI this morning and it's damp cold. 200 and forecast includes an episode of Wintry Mix on the all weather channel.  :-*

Bench and layout time today.  I worked a couple hours on the layout yesterday and need to get at more.

The Doll just informed me that the new wonder-TV has done some kind of an update and nothing in the menu looks at all like it did yesterday.   >:(   I did learn yesterday there is an upgraded "Magic Controller" that does have a MUTE button.  Well, if I buy a new boat, I have an anchor all ready..... :-\

Stay safe everyone, warm and dry.

Morning everyone

Rick thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Enjoy the hike.

Curt have fun shopping.

Tom I hope you and Pam do well at the lanes today!!

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/20.  Later 32.
Not sure what's on the agenda today but it will not be outside chores for sure.
So maybe I will get my 2 hours in at the bench.

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good morning Rick, Curt, ACLTom, Karl, Jerry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Rick.  Have a great hike today and hope you beat your PB.

Curt, I'll trade your 47F for our -8F.  ;D  Hope the Costco trip isn't too $$$.

ACLTom, Have fun bowling today.

Karl, hope you get lots of progress done on the layout today.

Jerry, hope you make it to the bench today.

As mentioned earlier it's currently -22C (-8F) and sunny.  Note a good day yesterday, the Mrs woke up with a high fever and more pain so it was off to the hospital again.  :o   It seems that she has gallstones and need to get her gallbladder removed.  They kept her overnight for observation, will know more today.  I have a feeling very little modeling will get done this week.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. The hike sounds grueling.  Good luck.

Curt, I don't envy the Costco visit.

TomACL, good luck on the lanes.

Karl, new tech always seems to be a challenge.  The updates can make you crazy.

Jerry, bench time is always good.

How goes the rest of the crew?

It's a bright, cold morning here.  This morning, I have to put empty Christmas decoration boxes (many) in the garage, prepare a dues letter, finish the lodge's annual financial report, and maybe squeeze in some derrick time.  Annual election and installation of officers is on the agenda at the lodge tonight.

Have fun,
mike

Philip

TomO/Tloc

Good morning from Wisconsin. Maybe 1/2" of the WGFA overnight.

Plumber was here at 7:15 to replace the garbage disposal. Fixed and gone for $80 in 15 minutes! There was a tiny screw jammed. Very happy about the outcome

We have Winter advisory for 6pm tonight through Wednesday. Starting with freezing rain, a glaze then ice and finally the snow!

Be well

Larry C

Good Morning,

Rick I'll take a hot cocoa to warm up these old bones. Have a great and safe hike.

Curt 47? that's shorts weather here. Have fun with your build.

Tom good luck bowling. Don't blame you for avoiding playing with electricity.

Karl have fun @ the layout. Get ahold of a 10 rear old kid; they'll figure out the TV real fast.

Jerry sounds like your weather's catching up to ours. Any white stuff yet; if not I can send you some. Have fun at the bench.

Ron sorry to hear about the Mrs's gallbladder. Last I knew that was a one day surgery then back home.Dang that's cold!!

Mike sounds like the lodge stuff will be keeping you busy.

Philip good morning.

Tom O glad the plumber bill wasn't any more. Careful in the sn*w in your parts.

Left the house @ 6:15 am and it was 4 degrees out with maybe a high of 27. My SUV started right up. Drove to the Daughters then took her to the garage to pick up her car; now it should start no matter how cold it gets for 4 bills. Grocery shopped after I returned home so now it's a few more errands. Don't know if I'll see the bench today or not.

Have a great day!! Be well and keep warm.
