Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and oatmeal.  Good luck breaking in the new hiking boots.

Curt, good luck with the gantry.  Would you mind sharing a link to the pewter black you purchased?    Jax has so many.

Philip, that shack is looking "rode hard and put up wet!"  Nice work.

Karl, are you getting any of the high winds further out west?

Ron, congrats on the nice vacation.  Hope the weather stays warm.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a rainy day, yay.  I need to make a few 1:1 errands, then get back to working on the forge structure.

Have fun,
mike

The dogs are at the groomers, so the house is unnaturally quiet.  I'll head down to the train room, do the exercise machine, and then figure out what's left to do on the Machine Shop.  I think it's mostly the boiler room piping and roof.

Philip great looking scene you have going there; really like the signs.

Karl nice Tiger is getting used to being "King Cat"; I'm sure he'll do just fine. Have fun with the bench/layout combo.

Ron we have warm weather here as well; great for clearing the house roofs. Nice little vaca; enjoy your time.

Mike after errands, have bench at the bench.

Dave sounds like you're on "the downhill side" of the Shop.

Good Morning,

Philip looking mighty fine and luv the carved rock.

The morning beverages are all set. Breakfast is 2 eggs, your choice, 2 buttermilk pancakes with butter and Vermont syrup along with crispy bacon and/or pan sausages.

What's on your agenda.

It's a windy 54 and the temps will be going downhill throughout the day w/ a wintry mix thrown in. A couple of errands then I'm supposed to go to our Daughters to see if I can fix her couch; hopefully the weather cooperates.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Larry. I'll add biscuits to your spread.

Started out the day with a walk at 72F with mild humidity. Yesterday I built the two legs of the gantry crane and will continue on with that today after replacing the front lock that now MOH has decided needs changed. ::) Such is married life.

Not much else planned for today.

Philip nice looking dynamite shed. What is it's scale?

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone.

47 now, 73 later with some clouds.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Good luck with the couch repair.

Curt, thanks for the biscuit and have fun with the crane and lock.

Philip, that shed looks excellent.

Jerry, hope you survived yesterday's "Silly Season" excursion in one piece.

Dave, sounds like the dogs are ready for the holidays.

Mike, hope you made good progress on the forge structure.

Ron, enjoy the warmer temps and your time off from work.

Karl, I'm glad Tiger is getting adapted to the changes at home.

How's the rest of the crew?

Star and I hiked 6.69 miles and 997' of EG on the Railroad Pass Trail.
Started well before sunrise but was worth it to see a beautiful sunrise.
Second half of the trail was full of excellent views.
Drove back to AZ afterward.
Today will be spent hanging around the house.
Children will be at school so it will be quiet.

Yesterdays sunrise.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Larry & Curt and the rest of the Gandy Dancers. Got your hats on today is rule #1  ;D

Thanks for the coffee Larry. Good luck with the chair. Curt it is 1/48th. Morning Rick!

Currently sitting here making 3d boxes. Such a pain, trying to make variations in the graining in cad.

Was a gully washer with wind last night and it's suppose to snow today...ughh.

Been planning a trip to Michaels and hobby lobby and the train store but always get sidetracked, maybe today.

Have a great Friday!

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Larry, Pam wants some of that.

I posted a note about Bill. He is doing fine.

Philip - great looking shed and dio.

Yesterday I forgot to post anything. I had a Cardiologist appointment, annual, and all is well. Doc was very pleased with all the numbers.

Emee has an appointment for nail clipping this morning and then Pam and I have a trip to the grocery store.

Hopefully, I'll get some bench time in on the Doc Koontz build.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Yup, the dogs are ready for the holidays.

The groomer sent us these pictures.  They always come home looking like "stuffed toys with attitude".

It's quite warm.  There was some rain overnight on the snow, and the result is dense fog.  More rain today, that might wash away the snow from the yard.

Back to the machine shop, I'm working on smokestacks and steam line.  I should, with luck, finish that today.  I can't permanently attach the boiler room, so I have to make it so I can install stuff on the layout once it's ready for its permanent home.

I saw Tom's post about The Judge.  I'm glad it was just a fall, and nothing worse!

Good morning Larry, Curt, Rick, Philip, ACLTom, Dave and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry, hope you can get your daughters couch fixed.

Curt, hope the door handle change doesn't give you too much trouble.

Rick, enjoy the day with the family.

Philip, the shed looks great.  Hope you can get your modeling run in today.

ACLTom, glad the Doc appointment went well.

Dave, Sounds like the machine shop is almost done.  The dogs look cute.

It's a "scorcher" here today with the current temperature of 8c ( 47f) with a high of 11c (52f) going to have to get out my shorts and t-shirts.  Only bad side is the rain has turned everything to ice.  Sliding down the driveway is not a sport I enjoy anymore.  Tonight the temperatures will drop to normal winter temperatures.  Another night with no modeling as 1:1 stuff got in the way but tonight looks promising.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning folks,

Larry, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Good luck fixing your Daughter's couch.

Curt, thanks for the tip.  Good luck with the door lock.

Rick, your hikes still amaze me.  Enjoy the day with your family.

Philip, your shed looks terrific.  What's next?

TomACL, congrats on the good cardiologist report.

Dave, cute dogs.  Good luck with the final work on the machine shop.

Ron, ice, no bueno!

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning, warming this afternoon to the 60s.  The house cleaner is here this morning, a few errands to run this afternoon, and college football to watch tonight. Hopefully have time to work on the blacksmith forge this morning.

Have fun,
mike

Greetings from once again snowy and cold Michigan.  We had a lot of rain yesterday and much of the ice broke up and melted, temp approached 50.  Today 24 might be the top with winds well into the double digits.  :o

The Doll's friend's husband in Saint Augustine is stable and doing ok, they are trying to determine their pplans for the next few weeks, have the ortho work he will need there or return to MI.  Sorry to hear about the Judge's mishap.

Things here have settled down, the Tiger boy is enjoying extra attention..

Dave, when the Doll and I started our relationship she had a pair of critters like yours, Baby and Jasper.  They were fun.  I still miss Jasper in particular, he was a lover of dropped food.  He could eat a dozen pancakes...like an old Electrolux.

No plans yet today, cold and ugly prevail.

Be well all, stay safe!
