Karl, huh!  Livia's (the white one) original name was "Baby" (they're rescues).  Titus is our 'Hoover', Livia is much fussier, almost cat-like.  She likes to pick kibbles out of the bowl, set them down on the floor, and dainty eat them one by one.  One fun thing about having 2 is to compare their very different personalities.  And the advantage of really small dogs (Titus is the fat boy at 13 1/2 lbs) is I can pick up and carry each of them one-handed, one under each arm.

Maybe I can get sometime in at the bench.
I'm going to start a building while my fingers decide that they want to work properly.
Old age and arthritis just aren't fun!!
Or as Larry would say getting ol is not for "sissies"!

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

TomO/Tloc

Good early morning. I put the coffee on. Sodas all around.

Been busy working at the bench, a couple work sessions and this afternoon the last OPS Session of the year for me.

Overnighted Thursday in KC after watching the Badger volleyball team fall in 5 brutal sets in the semifinal game of the Final 4. Flew home this morning. A nice quick adventure then should not have ended but it's just a game.

Was just reading 4 of the team have entered the transfer portal. These kids need to sign contracts and not be allowed to be a free agent anytime they want. Pay them but make them responsible to agreements

8pm on Friday watched the grandson's hockey team win 6-3 and he had no points but hit a post, a goalie(a few times) and the cross bar. As usual I don't agree with his coaching staff with the way he plays his players but other than Terry I keep my mouth shut. He lets 2 defensive players every game pick the position they want for that game! Tonight the 2 defensive players played center moving the 2/centers back on defense putting 4 players out of position. This is a double A level group that the parents or grandparents pay good money for these kids to play. The coach should be the C level team coach where that would make sense to do. They keep winning in sprite of my opinion.

The son and his girlfriend should be at his girlfriend's mom's place in Tulsa tonight. 10 hours to here driving they are leaving the mom tomorrow no later than noon and probably much sooner. Brian says there are hard feelings between everyone there, he just nods his head. Looking forward to having them here a few days. No hard feelings here. They drive back on the 26th via Memphis and New Orleans.  They do plan to head north to ski at Rib Mountain near the old stomping grounds on Monday. He said she wants to ski in Japan in January, he wants to know how good she really is before they get there.

Be well
TomO

Good morning Everyone.

Currently 51, 72 and cloudy later on.

TomO, thanks for the coffee.
I brought a bag of bagels and assorted muffins and danish to have with your beverage.
Fresh whipped butter and cream cheese are out too.

TomO, sorry about the volleyball loss but congratulations to your grandson and his team in their win.

Jerry, what's new?

Karl, sounds like with the weather you had yesterday it was a good day to stay in and work on the layout.

Mike, any forge progress?

Ron, sliding down the driveway doesn't sound like fun.

Dave, pups look great.

ACLTom, great news from the doc.

Philip, did you make it to the hobby shops?

Larry, how'd the repair go?

Curt, how are you?

How's the rest of the crew?

Not much happened here yesterday.
Daughter is bringing her brood over today and it will nice seeing them again.
Nothing planned yet for today.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening TomO. It sounds like you have a busy schedule.

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

This morning it is 21 degrees cooler
than yesterday. They're calling for 80's on Christmas here. Yesterday I built the gantry framework for the crane. The kit has chipboard spacers for the 2 rails which I wasn't happy with so I cut styrene spacers, but one end needs adjusted before painting.

I still need to do the front lock today. MOH was unavailable to program yesterday so it wasn't installed. Tomorrow MOH and daughter are doing a skunk event in Tampa and then are going to the commisary at McDill for last minute stuff needed for Christmas dinner.

That's enough blathering on for today.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Thanks for the light breakfast TomO and Rick. I scramble up some cheesy eggs, hash browns and bacon to go with the bagels.

The Judge is recovering and will be sent to rehab on Monday.

Five more day until the big guy is in town.

Have a safe and warm day everyone.

Good morning folks,

TomO, thanks for opening and coffee.

Rick, thanks for breakfast.  Wishing you a fantastic day with family.

Curt, thanks for breakfast. Is the commissary still a great place to buy groceries?  We haven't been to on in ages, mostly because of the location.

TomACL, thanks for the eggs.  Hope you have a fun day with the crew.

How are the rest of the gang today?

It's cold now but warming to the 60s later.  Football was a bust last night.  Next year!  Yesterday, I added a floor to the forge and assembled the forge shack frame.  I hope to add siding and a roof today.

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning,

Tom O. thanks for the coffee and enjoy the Ops session. Great news about the Grandson's hockey win.

Rick,Curt, and Tom thanks for the rather large variety for breakfast.

Curt have fun with your build.

Rick enjoy time with the family.

Tom have fun with the Ops and of course the BS'ing.

Mike sorry to hear about your FB team. Enjoy the bench time.

What's you plans for the day.

It's 28 with a high of 36 here. Yesterday it topped out at 54; very unusual for December but was very windy and rainy. Sadly the Daughter's couch was a bust; what a piece of crap @ only 2 years old!! One of the boards that held the springs in place broke and the seat was nothing more than a hump of springs. Tried to flatten them back out but no luck; I even stood on them and they wouldn't budge. After the Holidays she'll be buying a new one. Had a little time at the bench yesterday and hope for more today.

Have a great day!!! Be well and watch out for the "crazies" out there trying to get ready for Santa.

Upper 20s and mostly cloudy with an apparent sucker hole here or there.  It's going to be calmer and a bit warmer today.  180 and 20+ mph winds made it brutal yesterday.  Ended up out to pick up a friend's mail then early dinner at the pizza joint.  We were only 2 folks in the joint, ~3:00p

We have an order to pickup at the Menards store and a hoops game on Unobtainivision today. (Can't get Big10 TV)  May have some layout time, I returned a project to the layout.  110' turntable from CMR I put together a number of years ago and didn't have a place to put it when I finished it.  I have a place now.  I had to re-glue some joints in the base for it.  I also have a Walthers roundhouse semi finished to add as well.  Seems I have a transmission problem ::) , getting my a$$ in gear to start things.  :o  I've obtained my master journeyman's card in procrastination.

Little to add.  Everyone have a fine day.

BE WELL>>> ;D

Good morning TomO, Rick, Curt, ACLTom, Mike, Larry, Karl and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast everyone, we have quite the spread today.

Rick, have fun with the family today.

Curt, hope the front door lock gets installed today and you get to the bench.

ACLTom, have fun in the train shed today.

Mike, have fun working on the forge.

Larry, Couches should last longer than 2 years.  Have fun at the bench.

Karl, congrats on receiving your Master Journeyman's card in procrastination.  ;D

Well winter is back with the current temperature at -9c (16f) but the sun is shining.  Managed some time at the bench last night, figuring out how much weight needs to be added to the cars and started assembling the cars.  This morning I need to go to the apple store to get the pairing issue resolved.  I bought the Mrs a new Apple Watch since she lost hers while she was in the hospital but it won't pair to her phone.  Should get more bench time today.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning, everyone.  Seems the docs are getting impatient with my daughter-in-law, so I might become a grandpa before Xmas.  Been many years since I held someone's hand through that, hope things go well for her and my son.

Mike you have to be a smart shopper. Generally things are a little bit cheaper but not everything. You can find some things that are hard to find out in town at times. I also believe there's no sales tax.

James best wishes for your SIL and your family.

Afternoon crew. bringing up the stragglers, me

Yesterday was a snarl of traffic. We ventured to Hobby Lobby, Harbor Fright, and Menards. Almost filled the list.

I think Jerry hit the nail on the head..crazy town!

Today I'm dusting and cleaning. Preparing to eat the ton of chocolate we received from that sneeky delivery truck that never knock.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, assorted breakfast pastries, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 55F and calm. I think we get to the high 70's today. Yesterday I took Dad to an urgent care for yet another infected skin tear. I had been treating it but it was obvious that he needed antibiotics. I also fixed the trestle for the crane.

Today after chores I have present wrapping while MOH and daughter are at a skunk event. As she was leaving I noticed her passenger headlight was out on the van. I will also spray paint the gantry.

Tomorrow Dad has a VA eye appointment. Last night I started breaking out all over like has happened 2 times before. I'm not allergic to anything (been tested) but for some reason my immune system goes in to overdrive, so while Dad is in his appointment I'll go to sick call there. Fun times.

And so it goes.

I hope everyone has a good day.
