Good Morning All,

Breakfast today is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Got up a little early to help MOH pack up the van for a skunk event to the west of us. She has daughter with her today so I'm free for the SBG meeting at Tom's today.  ;D

Yesterday I continued on windows and doors and that will continue on Sunday, and this is just the first of the buildings. The windows are very, very fragile before assembly.

Well that's all from the west side of Orange county.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt.

I spent the past three days working on the book. I spent quite a bit of time proof reading what I had and moved a few stories to another chapter and removed two that were repeats.  Now I need a break and get some train time in.

In the coming week, I'm going to restart the thread I had on RR Lines with the covers of Railroad Magazine.

Have a great day, stay save and healthy.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for coffee and breakfast. Have fun at Tom's today and let the BS'ing commence.

Tom have fun with the guys today. Writing your book I assume you're writing on a 'puter so it's easier to move things around. Looking forward o the covers; never get tired of seeing other's great work.

What's the rest of you up to.

It's a clear and sunny 44 this am with a high of 79 in New York supposedly. Ground up leaves again yesterday afternoon so that should be set for a few days. Have a small 1:1 project outside this afternoon. After almost 9 months the family across the street are finally moving into their new home; that's a long time for a manufactured house. Maybe some more bench time this morning to finish up my diorama; well almost.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Sun and dry again in MI.  Headed toward 800 again today.

1:1 stuff to do.  I've little interest in the mediocre Michigan State football game on some unattainable TV outlet this afternoon.

Little new to report.

Enjoy the day, all.

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and bagels.  Have fun at the SBG.

TomACL, congrats on the book work. Have fun at the SBG.

Larry, congrats on the leaf mulching.  Have fun at the bench.

Karl, good luck with the 1:1 activities today.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's overcast, but it will clear when the sun comes up.  A high of 80°F is in the forecast.  Yesterday, I finished the lodge structure and found a spot on the layout for it.  My next project on the bench is a gondola on a flatcar.  My next decision will be what structures for the layout are needed to complete Phase I.  I plan to scratch-build them using the laser and 3D printer.  One is the sheriff's office, and others (still in my head) are a hotel, a store of some kind, an assayer's office...

Today, my SIL is coming over for lunch.  I put ribs on the smoker earlier this morning, and the 3.2.1 method should have them ready by one. I'll make coleslaw, baked beans, and bake sweet potatoes to complete the meal.  Oklahoma plays at 4:00 PM, so not much train work today.

Have fun,
mike
My current build is the Masonic Lodge and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Good morning from Wisconsin. 63f degrees now 88 later, love it!

Hockey last night on campus as the Women opened the home portion of the season and raised the 2025 NCAA Championship banner. I thought the Maine Bears were a class act. They came out and stood at their bench during the ceremony and even tapped their sticks on the ice. That is a show of respect in hockey. The past 2 banners raising ceremonies the other team stayed in the locker room. Badgers won 5-0 that easily could have been double digits. The Maine goalie did every thing but stand on her head in a 1st period shut out and played great the rest of the game. The Badgers just wore the Bears out with their relentless speed, talent and constant pressure.

I did start the weathering process with a fade on my Wisconsin Interstate 4022.

More hockey on Campus at 1pm this afternoon.

Some work this morning on the layout is forecasted. As I wrote yesterday  I added the Blue Point switch machines now I will build the 3 switches around them. I also might work on some weathering to a yellow TBOX 60' high cube I started the other day. The roof, trucks, wheels and couplers are done minus touch ups. The body is faded and the graffiti decals are picked out, maybe this morning. If I do the graffiti this morning I probably can finish the weathering Sunday. It's one of mine...

Enjoy the day

Mike, enjoy dinner with your SIL, although with that spread I just might invite myself over.  ;D

TomO, have fun at the hockey game this afternoon.

Another gorgeous day with sunny skies and a current temperature of 15c (59f).  Today's plan is to finish the shelving in the new shed and then spend some time in the train room tonight.

Good morning everyone.

Hood River weather: A chance of showers before 1pm, then a slight chance of showers after 4pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 67.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and have fun at Tom's.

ACLTom, have fun with the gang and look forward to more covers.
Nice shot of Howard's amazing layout.

Philip, I don't blame you for staying away.
Maybe Abe can be a statue in the town square?

Ron, glad you'll have time to be in the train room.

TomO, congratulations to the hockey team and have fun at the game tonight.

Mike, you've made me very hungry.  ;D

Karl, cool picture and it does look dry.
Harvest happening here too but it's apples and pears.

Larry, hope you get some bench time after finishing those 1:1's.

How's the rest of the crew today?

Star and I did our hike on the Oak Ridge Trail.
5.77 miles and 1,909' of EG.
Sat outside and had a cigar with my afternoon coffee.
Then walked a bit down the road and picked a pear in the orchard next door.
It was tasty.
Star has already chased the deer away this morning.
Lunch out with my friend today.

One more photo from Mt. St. Helen's.

Good Morning All,

Breakfast today is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, bacon, english muffins, OJ and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 73F and high humidity from the previous evening rain. I had a good time at Tom's yesterday. Including Bill it was only the three of us. No modeling yesterday.

Today after chores I'll head to the train room. Hopefully today I can finish the sliding freight doors on the pattern shop. If so I'll post an update.

That's it for me today.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. Yes, we did have fun yesterday.

Today, I'll do a little finishing touches on a book chapter and then get caught up on the forum stuff.

Pam wants to go practice bowling and I'm not in the mood for bowling. I wonder what time we'll be leaving?  8)

Have a safe and happy day everyone.
