Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. Sorry to hear your sleep isn't getting any better.

Rick, nice snowy picture of Star and the Paulina Lake sure looks isolated. Thanks for the compliment on the video. It is fun now that I'm getting the hang of editing.

TomO, the double track swing bridge is looking very good.

I bowled a 248 for my first game and we lost by 21 pins. My team mates didn't help much. We only won 2 of 8 points. I averaged 212 for the three games.

I think I'll just loaf today and get caught up on my reading.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Tom

Rain here this morning in mid Michigan, temp in the low 50s, weather guesser did say sunglasses this afternoon.

Nice static grass, Rick... ::)

Tom/O interesting bridge project.

My son the Master Mechanic stopped over to assist me with the belt replacement for my zero turn mower. In the process he was well into his second round of invective, puzzlement and outright displeasure with the design, parts placement and total halfassedness of the design and arrangement of the pulley system. Halfway through

Not sure what's up with the Postal Dis-Service. I left 3 outgoing envelopes and a package in the box with the flag up to go out yesterday. I came home from town, flag was down and the day's incoming was there but the outgoing stuff was still there. A package for me came later, hand delivered by a person in a white red/blue striped van.  :o

The Doll has gone this am to take one of the feline$$ to the vet for $urgery on a $ore &pot that's been refu$ing to heal after two prior vi$it$ to the office. $$

Enuf for now.

Enjoy the day all.

Morning Gents,

Today's breakfast is Belgium waffles, butter, Maple Syrup with sides of crispy bacon and/or pan sausages. Of course all your usual morning beverages are ready and waiting.

What are you up to today.

It's 38 with a high of only 54 and breezy in New York. Looks like Larry's Salon will be opening this afternoon to color Ellie's hair; always fun. Maybe some more bench time later this am. Not much else going on here.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay warm.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Larry. Hope you make it to the bench today and Ellie likes the salon job you do.

Started out the day with a walk at 65F and low humidity. I could get used to this weather!

Yesterday after chores I grained and colored 42 strip wood pieces. Today after chores I need to "wet brush" the strip wood and then start building the repair shed walls.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Larry. Haven't a Belgium in quite some time.

My day will start with paying the bills and then try to get interested in doing something layout related.

Have a safe day everyone.

Another mild sunny 8)  day in the mitten state.  :D  It seems that the rain is coming over the weekend with at least an inch guessed to fall.

Terry, that deck is similar to the one on my bigger Deere 1023e.  The only U-toob video we found left out 50% of the important, can't get your hands in there reality.  I can't tell you the frustration involved in that job.  Son owns a very busy full service vehicle repair shop and is used to working on lots of complex stuff was as frustrated as I've ever seen him, well, since he 'grew up' and he was the cause of considerable frustration.  ;o

The Doll's cat survived the vet trip, my wallet took a bit of a hit more than I like.  The second estimate for a generator system was $3k less, just "Oh my" :-\  rather than "No XXing way" >:(

The Doll took the outgoing mail direct to the PO, the clerk there was in excuse mode. Newby, yada yada.

PT shortly then some outdoor 1:1 today.

We saw a terrible traffic accident while out yesterday, used to be a common thing to deal with in my work but a bit shaking these days.  I'm glad the EMS and PD arrived just as I was making a 9-1-1 call and we stayed back and left as soon as traffic seemed settled.  We went back that direction an hour later and they had a 2 mile section of the main State Hwy barricaded off redirecting traffic.  No info in the news as is often the case for things out here miles from 'important' news outlets.

I ordered a $25 part for the 3d machine from a seller in CA that called and advised there was a $7 tariff I paid over the phone.  :-*  Shipping was almost equal to the part.   More with the tariff.

That's it here, be well all.

Good morning everyone.

Klamath Falls weather: currently 36 but sunny and 60 later.

Larry, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and hope your hair care client is a happy customer.

Curt, have fun with the kit today.

ACLTom, hope the bill paying isn't too painful.

Terry, how are you?

Philip, hope there's no poof today.

Karl, I can see how that belt change would be a challenge.
Is it done?

Jerry, how was the grocery shopping?

TomO, you're making good progress on the bridge.

James, good news on the plumbing fix.

Mike, does Sweetie enjoy the spa.
Star wouldn't like it.

Ron, how are you doing?

How's the rest of the crew?

Saw this picture on line yesterday and thought of our breakfast get-together here.

Didn't do the RR thing yesterday.
Did a short 4 mile hike instead.
Doing a longer 12 mile hike today and then doing the RR thing on Friday.

Another shot from Hager Mtn.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning crew,

Coffee eggs toast butter and tomato on the table. Not sure what they are eating Rick? Appears to be beans and ham and bread? Nothing green...

Steady she goes today. More casting and 3d stuff possibly.

My son and law bought a new tractor 10 years ago and when the battery went bad he had to buy a proprietry battery from Dear John at 4x times the price of a big box auto store. Many complaints about JD maintenance tactics.

Have a good en!

Philip

Good morning,

Larry, thanks for opening, coffee, and waffles.  I'm sure that hair work has some application for model train layouts...

Curt, it seems like we spend a lot of time distressing and staining wood, but it is key to good-looking structures.  So, enjoy.

Terry, howdy!

TomACL, hope you get to the trains.  About your video, is the sound of the locomotive and track from mobile decoders or added by your video software?  It sounds fantastic.

Karl, it sounds busy at your place.

Rick, Sweetie enjoyed it and is all nice and not smelly.  Fantastic photo find.

Philip, good luck casting and printing.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another bright and dry day at 69F, headed to 82F.  I am headed to look at the new altar being built for the Masonic Lodge. Afterward, I hope to begin on the oil derrick and add weight to the stock car.

Have fun,
mike

My current build is the Masonic Lodge and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Jerry

Morning everyone

Larry thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Love that new project of yours.

Curt looking forward to the update.

Rick I think I'll skip that breakfast!!
Nice winter picture just like you like it snowy!!

Philip saw your latest build great job for sure.

Does this mean your going to change your altra now Mike??  :)

Weather here in South jersey sunny/51.  Later on 58.
Sprinkler guy is coming to winterize the the system this morning.
Then some grocery shopping.
Mayb some time at the bench later which hasn't been working at all lately.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

It's interesting to me to read what others noticed in a photo.
What I liked about the photo is everyone sitting together and chatting about their day much like we do here.
I didn't focus on what was on the plates.

TomO/Tloc

Well! I'm back. Posted this morning and poof it's gone! I must not have pressed the post button so not a software issue just maybe a senior thing

Good morning from Wisconsin. 56f degrees heading to 66 late this afternoon. The TV media guessers this morning told Terry it's going to be dry. But we have a drizzle outside our windows right now and the WeatherChannel app says rain ens at 11.

Thanks again on the bridge comments. I still have weathering to do and add the track plus walkways. The owner stopped by yesterday to give me the bridge track from Walthers and Micro Engineering with IMO the Walthers looking great. I'm normally a huge ME track fan but there is no competing on this. But, today the bridge is heading temporarily to its home on the layout. When the owner inspected it yesterday, he approved the paint job but he was kind of shocked as to how big it looks and really is. We mocked up the space last week on his layout but this thing is big with a good mass look. I'll try to put a picture of the space it's going in here. NOPE FILE TOO BIG. This build is for a good friend but yesterday he asked me how much he was going to owe me! Nothing was my reply. That got me to thinking as to what I would charge at today's rates. I'm checking with weathering friends who custom build to see what the current rates are. I know the old 2020 rate of $15 per hour has long passed

Breakfast brunch out as a normal Thursday thing but with a twist as we are meeting a former work mate of Terry's from when they both interned at the Wisconsin Department of Education when they were both working on their Doctorates

Last week before the bridge project started I received some cars from a friend that he made for me. I freelance my model railroad and he surprised me with a covered hopper with my Wisconsin Interstate reporting marks and logo. I did a Matte clear coat but that's it. Today since the bridge will be gone I will weather the car. I have time today because tomorrow per the USPS tracking 36 cars will arrive. 16 are for me and the 20 others are divided between 2 weathering clients and a friend. We saved on shipping from Scaletrains

Enjoy the day
TomO

Funny! I looked at that picture and thought how staged it was. Then realized how perfect all the hair was. Never looked at the food but definitely saw conversations
