The dogs are staying with friends for the weekend while we go to a Baby Shower for wife's niece (baby was actually born 3 months early, but since she's doing well, they decided to go ahead with the shower.)  So they're off to get baths this morning.  Then I have German Zoom, the teacher is recovering from an ankle replacement(!), so what we're doing is she slowly reads stuff, we write it down, translate it, and then send it back to her to correct.  That's actually good training for my ear and spelling, as well as translation training.  Once that's done (45 minutes on free Zoom  :P ), it'll be back to the train room until the dogs are ready.

Morning everyone

Curt and Larry thanks for the coffee & breakfast.
Sounds like you both will spend some time playing with trains today.

Larry checked your inbox I sent a PM.

Tom thanks for the pictures.  Don't spend to much at the Hobby shop.

Mike good luck with the annual exam.

Rick what's up with you and the snow??  I can see Star liking it but you I'm not to sure about!!!  ;D

Morning Dave.

Weather in South Jersey is sunny/54.  Later 64.
Another nice Fall day.
Hopefully when I check these parts out in a few minutes it will have been done right this time.
Just can't image what I was thinking when I put this together for the third time. And it's only 4 parts!!!!

Everyone have a great day!!  :)

Good morning everyone,

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt and Larry.

Rick, yes Max is making it interesting, if he does win the driver's championship it will be the biggest comeback in F1 history.

Currently 15c (59f) and overcast.  Drove to work this morning in the rain, was not a fun drive.  Didn't make it to the bench this weekend but we shall see what tonight brings.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning from chilled but not frozen yet So Central Wisconsin. 38 now feels like 30 but topping out in the high 60's

Volleyball on campus yesterday was not good as the Wisconsin Badgers went down to the USC Trojans. We have seen teams beat the Badgers at the Kohl Center for big money grab games but they play normally at the UW Fieldhouse. In the six years we've had tickets only their biggest rival Nebraska had beaten them in the Fieldhouse. Oh well!

No trains yesterday but we also watched the grandson's 1st Fall league hockey game on a streaming app at 5:30 while also watching the Packers squeak by Arizona on TV. His team won 6-1 and he scored 2 and had 2 assists

Trains today will be to finish my Swing Bridge project. I want to get it to the layout tomorrow. We need to figure the approaches so I can build the lead in through girder bridges. The plan is to get everything figured out in the next month. 1 side of the bridge has a decent weathering start for what a 3 to 9 year bridge might look like. He is going to alternate sides before deciding how he wants me to finish the weathering. There are 2 full group work sessions coming up in the next 4 weeks so he will get plenty of opinions from the guys. My next OPs session is 12/20 as I have a few projects for the 2 layouts the group is working on.

Stay safe everyone

Be well

Another fine, interesting, photo, Rick.

Little to add to the stew this morning.  1:1 most likely today if it warms up any, it's 450 at this point.  A bit chilly.  LIONS are on the early, 7pm EDT, game tonight.

Be well all.

I forgot to mention this in my morning post.
Driving yesterday in Sparks I saw one of these on the highway.
Didn't know Tesla was making these.
They're just testing them now and they won't go into production some time next year.

That explains why my packages due today didn't arrive.  But it doesn't explain the problems I've seen the last couple of weeks (unless Amazon has been having persistent intermittent outages they haven't admitted to.)

No major problems here, I get my Amazon from two different facilities.  One in S side of Grand Rapids, Caledonia.  The other is just East of me on the West side of Lansing. One item promised to arrive before0800 was delayed and I was refunded a couple bucks.... That service has spoiled my patience for other merchants.  4-5 days, pull your hair out!

Good morning everyone.

Sierra City, CA weather: 46 now and sunny with a high of 65 later.

Coffee, sodas, and OJ are ready.
Haven't had huevos  rancheros in a while so that's today's breakfast.

Dave, I'm sure it's been an ongoing problem for them and they're just now admitting to it.

Philip, what's new?

Karl, thank you and any more 1:1's to do today?

TomO, congratulations to your grandson and I'm sure the bridge will look amazing on the layout.

Ron, hope today's drive to work was better.

Jerry, as long as I don't have to shovel, drive in it or work in it I'm OK with it.

How's everyone else doing.

Made it to the trailhead we're hiking today.
Didn't do much of anything after getting here.
Should be a good hike today and two more are planned for Wednesday and Thursday.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, sugar topped donuts, OJ, and soda.

Was woke up from 4 text messages from Wally World about our grocery delivery which is why we have donuts.

Yesterday we got the van back afrer paying $$$ ransom for a new alternator, battery and serpentine belt. :-*

In the train room was a comedy of errors. I was looking for a specific detail part that I couldn't find in the white metal bag or the 3D printed bag or the resin pieces. I looked through each twice and finally figured I would have to leave it off. I was walking out and glanced down at the end of the extra table (for laying out parts) and guess what I saw? :o

Today I may trim the front hedge but it looks like rain currently. At some point I'll head back to the train room.

Rick beautiful photo.

And so it goes...

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Gents,

Rick thanks for coffee and breakfast. Beautiful photo and have a safe hike.

Curt the parts thing has happened to me a few times over the years; glad you found it.

What's your plans for the day.

It's a cool 41 with a high of 66 in New York. Received my order from Rusty Rail yesterday so more details to paint. Also I bit the bullet and ordered a 24 in 3D printed lathe from Brett; this will be at the front of the Shop. May have to get rid of more summer flowers later on today but some bench time first.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick and Curt, double breakfast but, I'll choose only one.

Busy day for us. Taking Emee to the vet for a possible ear issue. Then bowling and the grocery store. Curt, we like to pick our own groceries.

I have a new office chair from Sharper Image to put together.

That's it for me.

Have a safe day everyone.
