I have a roof designed for the porch top. Just have to get a cover on it before it rains.  ;D

Nice sturdy porch there Rich. You going to shingle the roof? Or use corrugated sheets?

I'll check in later tonight to see what you did.

Thanks for the nice comments Bernd. Yes, I'm currently considering choices for the roofing, but have yet to decide. It's a really small roof, so just may go with boards.

Say, did you get the emails I sent with the plans for the Oil Derrick at the Penn-Brad Oil Museum?
Let me know and if you didn't I will send them again.

OK, the porch walls have been completed. They were initially stained with Light Gray
Hunterline stain. And the roof boards were stained with that same color. My workers
left the jobsite before completing the final stain color.

Who would like to help me pick a final color for the wall boards and a color for the roof?
I will consider any ideas. Should the wall boards be the same color as the roof or different?
Let me know your thoughts, thanks in advance.  ;D

Interesting design Rich. For thr roof I would think darker color or weathering to show runoff from the higher roof.

Thanks Curt. This is the secret with scratchbuilding, you can make anything you want. I got the idea for
the oval openings from FSM Bailey's Produce. They put in an oval door opening. As for the darker coloring, like a brown, etc., that was my choice too or use the same roof color that's currently on the main roof. As for runoff, maybe not so much, as it's really not going to hit the lower roof. My thoughts anyway, thanks for your input.

I agree with Curt, darker for the roof due to rain runoff.

I think you should have enclosed all the way down to the floor. The ladies are going to get a cold draft up their skirts going into the building in winter. You don't want a frozen secretary, do you?

Thanks for your interest in this. And you suggestions, I'm working on it as I speak.
I find it's the perfect place to add some BF corrugated panels!  ;)
