You're moving along nicely, I only tend to move at a snails pace. One day I hope to venture into liting my structures, my eyes aren't what they use to be. Thanks for the tutorial on the signs, I think someone may have gave me that program quite a few years back, will have to look.

Interior light looks nice and even Tom.

I like the paper towel idea. Hot spots can be challenging.

Buxom in the rear ??? ?!!!!  :o

I have not drank any bourbon yet. Perhaps I should begin.

The Slim approved LEDs are the bomb ...

Jaime

Jaime,

The lights really make the interior, thank you.

The cafe will be in the middle of the center isle so the "Miss Buxom" will be seen even from the rear.

Excellent modeling Tom. You set the standard very high.

Curt,

Thank you my friend, appreciated the kind compliment. Not sure about setting the standard but I do love building structures and adding my own spin to the build.

Lynn,

I tend to work in spells and do find myself working slowly at times. If I didn't have my Opti-visors, I'd be lost on building.

The Irfanview is a great free program.

Slim,

Thank you for the very kind compliment. I came up with the paper towel idea cause even lowering the LED light, I still had a slight "hot spot". Or, maybe the camera just kept burning the light.

The cafe comes with many pieces of cafe furnishings. I built the Bar Mills Sweaty Betty's restaurant with adding restaurant interior in mind. I planned to use some of the same interior furnishings as the Erie Cafe.

With this in mind, I decided to make some copies of the Erie Cafe interior pieces for my own personal use in Sweaty Betty's.

To make the copies I used Micro Mark RTV mold making material. John Siekirk covered rubber mold making in one of his threads so I won't re-invent the wheel.

My RTV is also nearing the end of the shelf life and I needed to use it.

I made a box from sheet styrene and added the pieces i wanted to make copies of.

More in a few.

I mixed the RTV 1:1 with parts A & B. The mix was poured into the box and set aside to dry.

Back in a few. Need a break and stretch my back.

I need to take more breaks during the day. To long at the workbench!

Okay, four hours later the RTV was removed from the box.

The original parts were removed from the RTV mold.

For mixing the RTV, I use Micro Mark plastic cups. The RTV won't stick to the sides.

I made the copies using the CR-300.

CR-300 cures in 30 minutes and the CR-600 cures in 60 minutes.

I use 3 oz. Dixie cups to mix the resin. I just trash them after pouring the resin in the mold. Easy clean up in throwing them away after use.

And here we go with the copies.
