Rich sorry to see so much damage!  :(
Hopefully more rain is not in the forecast.

Rich, I hope the rain stops so more damage doesn't happen.
Hopefully the damage now isn't too bad.

Couple of updates.
First, there's nothing wrong with the van.
An A service is nothing more than an oil change.
I might need brakes but won't know till they look at it.
The van runs great.  8)

Second.
I was going to camp at a trailhead in Pocatello and do a hike there in the AM.
After lunch I took a quick nap.
When I woke up I smelled smoke.
This is what I saw: https://youtube.com/shorts/s5davLGwe7w

Later, it looked like this.

See you in the AM.

Thanks for looking in Jerry, Curt, Ron and Rick.

We were cleaning up most of the yard this morning
and finding debris where you least would expect it!
No doubt, that's what happens when a force of water
makes it's way throughout any clear space.

This flooding on our property is not a new occurrence
because our property is in a flood zone. My wife has
lived here for over fifty years dealing with this every
few years when heavy rains come. Moreover, it's just
disheartening to see our work destroyed each time it
happens. We actually lucked out this time, with no gravel
deposits in the lower yard from the big creek. I have had
to hand-rake that 1 1/2 acre area before and it's no picnic.

We did lose the fish from the two ponds, of which I will be
cleaning tomorrow morning. I must remove the water fountains,
water clarifier, and hoses to the waterfalls.

You may be wondering if we have flood insurance, but no, it's very costly.
We just deal with the wrath from Mother Nature. Hopefully, as time marches on,
we can get a little reprieve. And no, we are not moving!

After this is over and I can make further progress with my other 1:1 project,
I might be able to view my workbench once again! We shall see.. Thanks all.

Rich

Rick

Good morning everyone.

Pocatello weather: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9am, then a slight chance of showers between 9am and noon. Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 85.

It's too early to get breakfast started so the next person in can do that.
Thanks.

Looks like the fire is out.
I'm up early to go do a hike.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Have a great day!

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening Rick. Enjoy your hike.

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 77F with high humidity. Today I need to go to Lowe's to buy a trashcan so I can soak filter cartridges with a cleaner. Pool cleaning continues.

Not much else happening this way.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Rich sorry to hear Mother Nature wasn't very nice. I see your point about moving;
home is home no matter what.

Rick have a safe hike.

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Hope the pool cleaning goes well and watch the
humidity.

What's happening in your neck of the woods.

It's a cooler but rainy 64 with a high of 77 in New York. Going to heat back up into the 90's for a few days; maybe even 97 one day....yikes. A few errands then maybe some more bench time.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Morning all,

Lots on my plate this week so I'll won't be here long.

My left leg surgery went fine and all the skin cancer was removed. I had my leg elevated with 14 sutures from Monday until Wednesday. The right leg will be done on Monday morning, this can't be delayed.

Pam's mother is now stage 5, the worst, kidney failure. We got her to the hospital and she was diagnosed with only 5% kidney function. This is know as renal failure. We now have her in Hospice Care in the Hospice Wing of Advent Health/Orlando. It is just a matter of time.

I'll be spending my time with and in support of Pam. I'll check in here when possible but won't do any updates on builds for now.

Stay safe and have a great day everyone.

Tom

Our farm is in a flood zone Rich. Before we elevated the house at one time we had 18" of water in it. The current weather changes now threaten again. Something the family heirs will have to deal with.

Sorry about your Mother-In-Law, Tom. Hope your on the mend.

Finishing up yard work and creating more today.
